The Argilla landed with a loud thud and slammed his arms down, shaking leaves off of nearby trees. The creature looked up, spotting Walter, and pounced into the air, two of its fist pounded at its chest while the other two were raised high.
It landed and smashed its forearms against Walter, the shield stopping him from pounding Walter to a bloodied pulp. The four arms began slamming in quick sucession, the shield beginning to crack under the force and multitude of the barrage of fists.
Just when the Argilla was about to crack all the way through, Gwilym jumped up from behind, his quills jabbing into the Argilla's neck and shoulder region before snapping off. Gwilym landed but not a second later, the hands lifted him up and threw him overtop and around the Argilla before slamming him down onto the ground.
A medium sized crater formed as Gwilym's body hit and then bounced back down to the ground while the Argilla began to stumble around. It raised its fist and pounded down, the fist hitting only a few inches from Gwilym's head. The Argilla huffed and stumbled before falling and then, after trying to stand again, fell one last time to the ground before only the slight and harsh breathing from the beast could be heard and seen as his chest moved up and down.

Walter winced, and winced, and winced. With each hit the argilla made on the shield, Walter felt like it was the end. With the shield nearly destroyed, the demon made a silent thought that he wished he had at least gotten married first.
Then suddenly, the argilla was not pounding on the shield anymore.
Glancing up from under his arms which were protecting his face, he saw the argilla fall to the ground. His triumphant grin did not last long as he spotted Gwilym motionless on the ground.
Without even thinking he dropped the shield and ran towards the man, dropping down on his knees beside him.
"Hey, Gwilym! C'mon, tell me you're alright mate!" Th man frantically spoke with his voice drenched with worry.
The venom coursing throughout the Argilla's veins would not be enough to kill it. Gwilym's venom was enough to kill a full grown, large, male, but this creature would only experience moderate to slightly severe sickness at worst.
Gwilym on the other hand had had his brain rattled pretty good. His memories spilled over the banks of his mind and flooded his brain, and for the first time in a long while, he revisited... that day.
"Shush ya lip Drake, do you want to end up cactused?" The very young Gwilym scolded the other, even younger, Stellio.
"But, but Gwil."
"No everythin is fine, they jus be havin a talkin to."
"Gwil, somethin ain't ritener." The other Stellio wined.
Gwilym looked from their hiding spot towards the upper section of the window that was shut, only a crack of light escaping from it. His parents had told them to stay here. It was an order from his father. But, Drake was right, something was very off about all this.
"Hush, Drake," He knelt down, "Listen, Ah promise, Ah'll protect you no matter what, no matter how many blues Ah have to take... Ah gotcha mate." He smiled and the other Stellio began to smile back but both of their moment was interrupted as the window burst open, the wood shudders splintering and falling from their hinges. From the window, a rather large Stellio corpse, shredded and mangled, ripped into two distinct pieces, fell from the window and landed with a bloody slosh to the ground. The two boys watched in horror as another fell, Drake ran out. "NO! FATHER!" He screamed in pure agony as he ran to the pile and cupped his father's hand, falling to his knees. Gwilym kept looking up at the window as a man shrouded in darkness lifted yet another body into the air, a female Stellio, and slowly, while hearing her deafening screams, she was ripped in half before thrown down atop the rest of them, just beside the crying Drake who did not even move but kept muttering and crying in agony. Gwilym, as he watched the scene, fell to his knees, still in the hiding spot. His face was a ghostly white, a very rare thing for a Stellio, while tears ran like streams on his eyes.
The man from the window, had noticed Drake, and he instantly, after being engulfed in darkness, appeared next to the boy. "Ah, I have indeed found something now haven't I?" He chuckled, "You... yes, you will be of great use." Darkness surrounded Drake and once he knew what was happening, he turned to Gwilym and outstretched his hand toward the hiding spot but it was too late. He vanished into the darkness.
Gwilym, seeing Drake reach out to him, ran forward. "H-Hey!" He pulled out his small dagger. "What do ya think you're doin, you can't jus... you can't..." Slowly, the shock of what all was happening seeped into his mind, he froze.
"And what do we have here? A street orphan? Ha, you are just what I needed, a commoner to make it really look like an accident." The man in dark turned toward the building and unleashed such a blast of dark energy that made Gwilym think it was actually night outside. The building, due to the blast, crumbled and exploded as the man disappeared into the darkness in a fit of laughter. Gwilym, along with the other bodies, soon became buried alive under the stone and other pieces of the once large dwelling.
While trapped underneath, Gwilym huffed and puffed, gasping for air. He felt like he was sinking into an eternal abyss before he finally opened his eyes and saw his "future" self, the self Seth had morphed as. The self he was supposed to be, the self he wanted to better himself then. But what for, revenge... or was it something more... all his life he felt guilty for that night, and now it was over without resolving anything? No! The sinking stopped and slowly Gwilym began to rise. NO! He couldn't end it like this, he could just disappear, he had made a promise! A light began to form and Gwilym was rushed into it.
He heard a call, first it was quiet, but then it grew with each passing moment into the yell that it was. "Hey, Gwilym! C'mon, tell me you're alright mate!"
Gwilym opened his eyes, and they dilated horribly due to the light, temporarily blinding him. "Aoiah......" Gwilym muttered as he tried to gain his senses and grasp what exactly had just happened. "Ah still have all of me limbs mate?" He asked, a slight chuckle.

Walter stared at Gwilym for a moment before sighing, a smile on his lips. Then he chuckled.
"Yeah... Yeah, you still have all of yer limbs!" The demons chuckle became a laugh as he slumped down to the ground on his butt, running a hand through his hair. With the other hand he wiped his mouth, which had a small trickle of blood running down on it. No doubt from the magic shield he rarely ever used.
"You're quite the trooper there bud! Limping your way into battle! You'd make quite the addition to the knights," he tilted his head slightly with a small smirk. "After all, I do believe that's one of the prizes in the contest. Seeing as how you've taken down two creatures, I'm sure you'd get the position if you asked for it."
He quickly realized he was talking an awful lot to a person who seemed to be incredibly disoriented. Walter finally shut his mouth, a smile still on his lips.
Gwilym's scratches had already healed, at least the ones from Triscripto and being hit by a tree, but his sore muscles and busied and aching body was far from rejuvenated.
"Wellen if me limbs still be on then Ah reckon Ah wasn't blued as a Bad as Ah coulda been." He chuckled, using his tail and arms to lift himself into a seated upright position. He sat hunched with his elbows on his things and his head in his hands.
"A knite ya say?" Gwilym would like to protect the people... And the boys... The boys, how could he be a knight and be with the boys? "Ah reckon Ah've got me some younins to watch over instead mate. Me priority has to be wit em in the pack. Ah don't think Ah could do both of them now, but Ah'm sure y'all will find the rite mate for the job." Gwilym, Knight of the Sands, it did have a sort of ring to it though.

Walter stared at the man, before nodding understandably.
"I'm sure we will," the demon smiled, shrugging, before running his hands through his hair. "I get it, though. It's hard to have two priorities when you're a knight." He couldn't help but think how being a knight had nearly ruined his relationship with Denzel multiple times. He considered himself lucky.
"You sure you're good to walk around then?" Walter asked, looking Gwilym over.
"Ah'll be fine mate, jes wait here til me ol blues turn round then Ah'll be up n at em again." He smiled and nodded toward Walter, "Thanks for ya help mate, you don't need to stick around ny lon'er"
Gwilym sat, thinking, he would do another, but the day was ending very soon. Not to mention they could have already been all done up! He would have to check the boards in the morning... and he need rest... his stomach rumbled slightly, and he needed to eat. Boy was he falling apart or what? He silently chuckled to himself.

Walter thought for a moment, before chuckling.
"Unless you've got plans, I wouldn't mind treating you to a drink or two. I'd probably be dead, or at least seriously maimed today if it weren't for you. Besides- with how much of a beating you took I think you deserve a free drink!"
The demon stopped, before smiling slightly sheepishly. "Like I said, if you want to. I'd be fine if you had other things to do."
Gwilym thought it over, in truth he hated the taste of alcohol it waste just the taste either but how it reacted to his overly acidic stomach was no fun, but, he did not feel like turning down a kind gesture. Etiquette told him not to refuse.
"Sure mate, Ah'll join for a guzzle, but please, Ah would have been a sorry bloke if it wasn't for ya either." He nudged Walter. "Ya saved our skins too their mate."
Gwilym, using and refusing his muscles desires to stay put, pushed himself up and stood up. His body felt like it was being stretched, both due to the pain and the healing process. He reached out a hand to help Walter up as well.

The demon grinned as he took Gwilym's hand and pulled himself sturdily up to his feet. Though, he did feel that though he had helped, Gwilym had certainly did more.
"Right then, let's get a move on," he laughed, taking a step forward towards Avaleur once more, before stopping and turning to look at the beast.
"Erm..." Walter began, placing both hands on his hips, with pursed lips on his face. "You sure we're good to leave that thing there? I mean, I'd feel mighty sorry for the poor suckers who come to collect him, and by chance the thing wake up."
The demon glowed with dark magic for a moment, before his wings, claws, and horns disappeared, revealing a human Walter.
"Hmmm..." Gwilym looked over to the beast that laid on the ground struggling to live it seemed. "Oi', Ah don't think it well be ny sorta blue for ny bloke. Not any time soon that Ah reckon."
He shrugged his shoulders and turned to go. Boy oh boy what a day, if the walk wasn't enough, the two creatures on either end of it were sure a good tuss for the day.
"So mate, you do this sort of thin often?" He asked. Serious but also joking.

Walter shook his head, a laugh escaping his mouth once more. "No not at all! The most I ever have to deal with is a drunk, or a thief. Other than the few wars or riots we've had, which hasn't happened in a while. Never have to deal with any beasts."
He ran his hand through his hair, and placed the other in his pocket. Boy was he tired. Not to mention the amount of magic he used was hurting him- after all, he rarely used protective magic. He was made for destruction after all.
The demon was relatively relieved that he did not have to fight any more creatures- after all, they had handled two of them. That would be good enough, he felt. Now he was just looking forward to his drink.
"Lets get back to town before we decide that we can tackle another beast today!" he laughed jokingly as he turned from the beast and began trekking through the forest. Anticipating having his drink.
