Simon thought over what Sunden was saying- and he felt rather bad for the man. After all, if that place was really that nice to Sunden, he must have wanted to stay even just a little bit, despite the 'not staying in one place for too long' thing. Perhaps it just was not meant to be.
Though Simon couldn't help but rejoice in the fact that at least he was hoping Avaleur would change things. Because Simon was hoping for that as well.
"Yeah, probably one day. Once I earn my shield maybe I'll become a wandering Knight. I heard that that's what the hand of the Queen did for a while- left, fought for other lands, and eventually came back. I think I'd like that...I'm sure I'll find Avaleur my home by the time I become a knight. So it'd be nice to travel, and come back some day, you know?"
Simon sure was getting his hopes up- and he believed that he could do it. Which, to most people, was a good thing. Someone with high spirits would get the job done. But to anyone who knew him? It was only a setup for disaster.
"Never been outside of Hollow til today," he added, to conclude his statement with a big grin on his face. "So I'm not sure if I'll enjoy traveling just yet.
Sunden nodded slowly. He couldn't imagine just staying in one place, especially if it was in a city. He took a deep breath of the city air and let his eyes wander to the strange plants of the garden. He'd never seen some of them before, but many of them he knew of. He'd crawled through the wild versions of some of the plants, trusting them to give him cover or protect him.
He snapped his attention back to the younger man he'd conversed with. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed the boy's dog chewing on one of Simon's boots. A light sprang into his eyes and he caught the boy's eye and nodded toward the collie, trying to draw Simon's attention to the mischievous dog.

A puzzled expression entered Simon's eyes as he turned around- only to notice his 'best friend' chewing through his boot. He had been gentle enough- but there was still one hole being made on the side. Sort of unhandy for boots.
"Checkers!" Simon folded his arms, scowling at the dog. Checkers stopped chewing, slowly looking up at the two and wagging his tail as if he had done nothing wrong.
Grumbling under his breath he tapped Checkers nose- a sort of don't do that again motion- and sat down on his bottom, slowly placing the boots back on. The boot not chewed on was a bit damp, but wearable. The other was a little more soggy from being in his dog's mouth.
As he began putting it on, he looked up at the man, before another smile went upon his lips. "Well here's hoping we both like the city. Sorry I can't tell you more about it. Hey, maybe you'll find something incredibly awesome that you like that you'll have to stay for."
Simon couldn't help but hope the man would stay. Even though he seemed older than him, in his twenties probably, Simon felt it would be nice to know someone outside of the castle. Someone you didn't have to talk about training, or work with.
Sunden watched Simon pull his shoes back on. It seemed the conversation was drawing to an end. He hoped he would see the boy again. He didn't want to have to go back into the city alone again. He still wasn't really sure where to go next. At least Simon had some sort of plan.
"Well, I wish you the best for becoming a squire. If you need anything, I'll try to be around. Maybe I'll stay in the city for a while before going out hunting." He gave a small bow to the hopeful knight-to-be. He turned back and tossed the reins back over Jonah's saddle horn, straightening them to the same length. Sunden stuck his booted foot into the stirrup and swung himself up onto the horse's back.

Simon watched the hunter get ready, tying up his boots to secure them.
"I'll make sure to tell you how it goes when I see you," he was quite determined to see the man again. After all, what good was a new city if he couldn't make new friends? Or friends, for that matter. Simon didn't really have any friends but his parents, and Checkers. He liked to pretend he had friends though, but most felt he was too cocky.
"Good luck getting settled though. Even if it's only temporary," Simon smiled, helping himself up and brushing himself off as he began picking up his bags from the ground. He was growing excited, if he had to say so himself. After all- soon he would find out.
Sunden gave one last look at Simon and nodded to him. He was reluctant to leave, and still hadn't the slightest idea where to go next. He figured he would just ride around and try to find...something. Anything that might help him. An inn may be a good place to pick up information, he thought. Perhaps that would be his next plan.
He found himself hoping that he would see Simon again. That the younger man would achieve his dream of becoming a knight. He found that he kind-of liked Simon, even if the boy seemed a bit overconfident.
With one last look at the garden, Sunden pulled Jonah around to the right and walked off into the city. He pulled his hood back over his head and went back to sending looks back over his shoulder and watching people suspiciously.

Simon watched as the man and his horse trotted away, before securing the bags that he held, making sure all was attached. He slipped out the envelope his father had written in, and tightly grasped it as if it were his life that very moment.
"C'mon Checkers. I have a date with destiny," he grinned, not looking back as he walked to the front of the castle once more, hoping to be able to enter the castle once more. Checkers quickly followed, a skip in its step, excited to be going to a new place.
