Danielle pursed her lips; she was partially right, with the 'go find him yourself'. Roland just worded it more politely.
But as he riddled his words with her, she let out a sigh. On the right track, but still so far. Finding the cruxling woukd be harder than she thought. He was hiding after all. And a hiding child was the hardest of things to find, unless you knew where to look.
And Danielle certainly did not know where to look.
Roland was more than likely hinting it to Danielle, but she couldn't figure it out. Perhaps if she could think of the possibility of Dax being the cruxling it would have been much easier. But the thought never touched the woman's head.
she did think of one thing, however. Why would he hide.
"To escape whoever was doing him wrong, I'd assume," she replied casually, frowning slightly. "I don't know what that has to do with finding him. Not to mention, I would assume he is hiding in or around rorikstead. And I don't know the area; I don't know where a cruxling would hide."
"If you don't know where a Cruxling would hide, maybe you should start either thinking like a Cruxling, or talking to some. All Cruxlings play with one another, they all got something to say about one another." Roland looked around, laughing as he saw cruxlings running, teleporting, in class, playing hide and seek... "If you want to find a Cruxling, ask a Cruxling." Roland explained further. "Just don't be surprised if they want to fight you for the information. Just out whit them, you'll lose in a fight."

She was about to protest to that accusation; though she knew Roland was right. She wasa good thief, a good assassin. But fighting? Not quite. And against someone who was raised to fight? Very unlikely. But she could outsmart them, surely. A thief had to be good at that.
"Right. Thank you for your time, Sir Longfellow," Danielle nodded to him, looking past him to a group of cruxlings that were laughing and enjoying themselves.
She was about to pass ths knight when she stopped, looking at him once more. "One more thing... if you truly did spare Dax's life, then thank you," for a moment she paused, slightly uneasy, before continuing. "I thought someone aut to thank you. I don't think he ever would."
With that, Daniellelooked on towards the cruxlings, making her way to the group.
Roland chuckled. Had Dax thanked him? It was hard to remember when you did things without seeking for gratitude. The man supposed that Dax probably did not, he was probably quite angry with him to be honest. "Perhaps he did not, but it was not necessary. I appreciate your gesture all the same." He said with a smile before watching her leave for a moment before turning and jogging back to the group he had been instructing.

He was so damn polite. It pissed Danielle off to no end. But she knew that his politeness would charm her if he truly did spare Dax. After all, they had attacked first.
She stopped her thought; no. If both Dax and Dosise survived, he would be forgiven. Perhaps even liked. But not until it was guaranteed.
Now was not the time to think about Roland Longfellow, however. Now was the time to think about finding Dax; and try to figure out how to outsmart a group of young Crux.
"Excuse me!" she began, and slowed to a stop in front of the group, a smile on her face. "I'm looking for a cruxling, but I'm having some difficulties. Might I ask any of you to help me out?" She was nervous of course. She also know she could, and would, do it.
