Elle had to suppress a laugh as Delliks scrambled away from the weird parasite and threw a stone at it, the stone hitting the blade of her dagger and making a musical tinging sound. She watched the creature give a final twitch as the stone thumped on top of it. Well, this was turning out to be an interesting hunt, and they hadn’t even finished making camp yet! She reached out, pulling her dagger from the ground, and cringed as the creature came with it, stuck to the blade. She picked up the stone and nudged the parasite off, watching it fall back to the ground. Yuck.
“Killing off as many as we can sounds good. I don’t think I want any in my tent.” She replied, standing. Speaking of which, she’d probably search her tent thoroughly before going to bed tonight. She looked around, wondering where the parasite things went. To find a new host probably. And unless some big elk or deer stuck around to listen to a rampaging boar, Delliks and Elle were the biggest and nicest hosts around. Almost as if the thought summoned them, she saw three of the parasite things skittering towards her. She gave a little shriek, holding out her hand to produce a small ball of flame, and she shot out three of them, each ball of flame striking the ugly things. They gave a shriek of their own and died, bodies curling as they burned briefly.
“At least they seem easy to kill.” She said softly, sheathing her dagger. Her fire magic would probably work better against any other creepy crawler that came her way.
Delliks nodded and then dashed for his sword. He was offensiveless without it. He ran around and away from the parasites but just as he about reached the blade in the boar, a hoard of the sickly looking and creepy crawlers errupted from the beast. Delliks quickly jumped and turned the other way as he ran to avoid the nightmarish beings.
"Oh, it just couldn't have been a normal giant boar... had to be a creeper crawlers pinata wild boar!" He complained as he ran to avoid the parasites. With each passing moment he began to feel less manly but what was he supposed to do?! He wasn't going to try touching these things!

Elle cringed as more parasites poured from the boar carcass. She eyed the dead boar before sighing, lifting a hand, and another ball of fire grew, hot and blue, before she tossed it at the boar’s body. It struck and lit the dead creature up in flames, frying any parasites left, and scattering the remainder away from the two hunters. Too bad, she would have liked to scrounge something from the boar. At least this way they wouldn’t have to deal with the boar rotting by their camp. Not if she burnt it to ashes.
She gave a little gasp as more came crawling her way, and she blasted them with smaller bursts of flames. They scattered, running for the woods. She turned, watching Delliks run about, avoiding his share of crawlers, and suppressed a laugh. She took careful aim, using her finger instead of her palm, and shot out small bits of flame, striking the parasites that chased the man. It was a good thing she had wonderful aim. She winced, feeling her back twinge a bit, and she reached back to absently scratch at it. When she did she felt a small lump under the skin, and she ceased her firing. She had a momentary flashback of when she had fallen onto the boar…the boar that was crawling with parasites…
“Oh shit…” The elf said, visibly paling before she gingerly fingered the lump on her back with both hands. It was just beneath her skin. Maybe it was just a bump from when she fell off the boar. She had hit the ground pretty hard…
The lump shifted beneath her skin, she felt it move, and she gave a little cry, jerking her hands from it. Aw, damn it!
“Delliks!” She called, sounding a bit panicked. “I think one got on me!”
Delliks continued running around in such a fashion that it had no motivation behind it other than to serpentine around and avoid the parasites. When the boar went up in flames however, he thought of his Grandmother's blade and began to run back for the burning corpse. The heat grew hotter and more intense as he neared, his face and arms becoming uncomfortably hot as he approached the neck and found his blade. He reached in quick and grasped the hot blade and turned around quickly, swiping at a parasite that had leap in the air at him. It slice in half has he winced from the burning hilt.
His face turned pale as well when he heard Elle call for him and give him the news.He jogged over to her, the other parasites gone, and moved to behind her where he could see the skin moving beneath the little clothing she was wearing. Without really asking, although he probably should have, he carefully lifted what little clothing she was wearing so the could see her skin completely. It was fine and soft but he had to whisk those thoughts away as he saw the lump moving about. "Yeah... I think you're right." He said as he looked a little squimish. He found the small cut where the parasite had crawled in and he began to gently prod it and push it in directions that forced it to squirm towards the exit. Just when it was close enough and moving over the cut, a bit of it sticking out, he held the burning point of his blade to it and the parasite overheated and popped. He then dropped his blade and pressed on and around the but, forcing the guts and parasite out, that wasn't already out, like puss from a giant pimple of zit. Delliks gagged for a moment as he continued an the disgusting gunk got all over his heads. "You are going to want to wash up... I don't..." He gagged for a moment again as more erupted from her back. "we don't want to get it infected eh?"

Elle shut her eyes, letting out a small whimper as she felt the creature move around under her skin, trying to avoid Delliks’s prodding fingers. She could feel its legs moving and twisted, readjusting themselves, and the feeling sickened her. For a brief second she felt heat, and then both heard and felt that parasite pop. Her eyes opened wide at this, and as she felt something run down her back, she echoed Delliks’s gag by gagging herself, hands flying up to cover her mouth. She nodded as Delliks told her she’d want to wash up so the wound didn’t get infected. She had Aerin’s potions, but they would only heal the wound, not clean her of the parasite.
“Oh, Gods. I think I’m going to throw up.” She said, her voice shaking, before gagging again. She didn’t even have to see what Delliks was seeing and she felt left puking! And she was a girl who was considered having a strong stomach, but that didn’t seem to be the case when there was a creature squirming around under her skin.
Delliks sighed in relief as he pushed out the rest of the gunk that he was going to get and took a few steps back as he looked around the area and then down to his bloodied blade. He would need to clean that too, there was no telling how long it would sleep for when he sheathed it once again. How long had it been this time? He wasn't quite sure but it had been awhile.
"Next on the agenda is finding a stream then eh?" He said with a little chuckle as he wiped sweat from his brow and then puss from his hand onto the grass beside him. "I think the fire will keep any creatures away from the camp for now..." He looked at the blazing boar corpse, "you don't think it will spread to the camp to you?"

Elle tried to stay still for as long as she could while Delliks finished up with his little extraction. It was hard. It was disgusting. Finally though he stepped back, and that seemed to signal he was done.
“Ugh! By the Holy Trinity and all those who Watch that was the most disgusting thing to ever happen to me.” Elle said, pulling out a rag from her pocket and wiping at the bloodied remains that still was on her back. Blood from her little wound slowly oozed out, and she let it. Whatever vile nastiness left in her could go out that way.
“Fuck those creepy little creatures from Hell.” She muttered, pocketing the rag again before looking at the burning boar corpse. She watched the fire burn for a while before shaking her head. “No, it seemed to be contained to the body. The boar’s fat will probably burn like a torch for the next couple of hours but it shouldn’t spread any further.” She said, before turning and walking towards the general direction of the stream she knew to be nearby.
“Well that experience was more than I hoped for on the first day. I wonder if there will be anything worth taking from the boar after it’s burned itself out. I’d like those tusks, if the flames haven’t warped them.” She said. Not like she’d put the fire out anytime soon though. Delliks was right. That fire would keep those creepy things away. They were burrowing parasites. She wondered how long they could live outside of a living host. Hopefully not long, so they wouldn’t have to worry later on tonight.
"Might be an intriguing piece if they do come our warped eh?" He said as he shrugged and inspected himself all over just to solidify his relaxation and ease now that the parasites had gone and danger seemed to have dwindled significantly.
The blade he held down toward his side but he did not sheath it, he would wait to clean it in the stream and dry it; bathe it. His hand did feel quite sticky from the puss though and that was growing to be quite unpleasant. "If it isn't going to spread, let's head on out and wash up. I don't want to smell like this for the entirety of the hunting trip." He chuckled a bit.

Elle shrugged at Delliks’s question. Maybe they would be intriguing, but collectors who paid big money normally liked their treasures to be flawless. Then again most dealings she had were with elves, and they were a whole lot more picky about the hunt than the city folk of Avaleur. She found that she liked the people of Avaleur more than that of her hometown. But most of her hometown had the tendency to be terrific assholes too.
“I agree. A washing up sounds lovely,” Elle replied, turning and heading towards the stream. She paused after a few feet though, a thought occurring to her, and turned back to gaze about. She looked around at the berry bushes, and frowned, seeing almost none of them escaped the boar’s trampling feet. Damn it. So much for a sweet spot. She sighed and turned, hurrying to the stream so she could wash herself free of this disgusting mess.
She reached the stream and kicked off her boots, setting down her bow and quiver, then she stripped off her shirt without warning or shame. She folded it nicely and then stepped into the stream, the cold water biting at her feet. It felt nice, though it would probably hurt after a while. She knelt down, her back to Delliks, and began washing her hands clean of any dirt. No need to get her wound any more dirty than it was.
