At last Rio had decided to explore the battle arena. She stretched her arms up, excited. She'd always gotten into trouble for fighting but here it was not only acceptable but it was necessary to survive. The thought excited her.
She looked around the arena for someone looking for a playful battle or just even a good conversation. She didn't want to be bored. She hated being bored.
Ryn looked around walking into the arena stands for the first time. The arena was huge. It was a level field that seemed like through magic it could change its terrain. "Woah." Ryn said looking around. The stadium seemed to be pretty empty as it was open for training sessions and friendly matches. The intense fighting didn't start till nightfall. Ryn looked down over the ledge of the front row. It seemed like a 12ft drop to the arena, probably to keep pesky audience warriors from joining in if the fight wasn't going their betting way. Ryn teleported down to the leveled feild. "So this is the great Avaleur arena..." He was amazed, it was practically the biggest arena he'd ever seen. It was then that he spotted a red haired human girl looking around too. She was observing the place as well. Ryn didn't really know how to approach her, back in his clan it was easy to make friends, you just showed up, fought, and then talked. Here it was different, humans just weren't into fighting like his clan was. He shrugged, it was worth a try. "Hey do you want to spar?" He called to her and smiled.
Ryn's eyebrows raised. He was surprised she answered the way he thought she wouldn't. "Sounds good to me." He smiles before teleporting to the side of her. "My name's Ryn." He says extending his pawed hand to her.
"Crux actually." He says smiling. "I just got in town and was looking for someone to train with, especially with this big tournament coming up." He says stretching his arms. "Uh- sorry I never got your name." He says.

Namari sat on her usual bench, sword at her side. Watching the people practicing fighting for the tournament was quite interesting. When she looked around, she spotted a girl she had not seen in a while.
"Yo, Rio!" she yelled to the small girl, giving her a wave. She was standing beside an unfamiliar face.
Ryn looked at who Rio was waving to. A strong looking yet graceful elven woman. This must have been the woman that Roland told him about, Namari. He got out his journal with his tail to check, and gave a friendly wave to Namari. He didn't want to just poof right in front of her, it seemed to be considered rude in this city, and he made his way to where Namari was. "Nice to meet you, my name's Ryn. You must be Namari right?" He says looking her over.
Ryn smiled. "Yep. I just got here yesterday and I can honestly say, I'm loving this town." " Still haven't seen a werewolf though..." He says to himself before going back to Namari. "Do you come to this arena often? Maybe you can help us set up a match? I would be very grateful."

Namari nodded. "I'm one of the top fighters." she confirmed. "I'd be fine with helping you two," she smiled, getting up. She picked up her claymore and walked over to Rio.

"It depends on the fight," she chuckled. "Is this to the death? I assume not, so you can't kill each other. And what type of fighting? Like, hand-to-hand or weapons? Basically you make up the rules, like if you can use magic, if you fight until one of you is knocked out, and so on."
"Oh." Ryn said surprised to hear that. "Well how about we have an I QUIT match. First one to say I quit or get knocked out loses." Ryn says jumping on his paws getting amped up. "Anything goes except teleportation, that sound good?" He asks.
