Steele (human form) floated in the water while deep in thought in the lake. Things had been very stressful for him ever since his near death experience weeks ago. He'd been exiled from his pack that he'd been with almost all of his life. All of his pack "brothers" were too afraid to stand up against Balius. On top of that people within the town still hated or feared him for what happened in the town riot. If he wasn't getting scornful looks while walking through the town, he'd be hearing people talk about him when he walked by. He'd had no place to sleep so night after night he'd have to sleep in the church or by the lake but with so many people going to the church now thanks to some new preist, Steele officially had no place to go. Not to mention everytime he looked in the mirror or saw his reflection he see's severe scars across his face. His heart had become filled with hate for Balius, his pack, Enoch, the town, his parents for abandoning him. It seemed no matter what he did things ended badly. He felt all alone. Now he knew how Denzel felt when everyone hated her for the massacre.

Namari sat leaning up against a tree, reading a book. The book, to no suprise, was how to care for a dragon. The egg that she had retrieved from the marsh was at home, being kept warm by Peter, so she had decided to go and get some scenary.
Sighing and closing the book, Namari placed in into her bag and looked out at the lake. She squinted her eyes, spotting a floating figure. Realizing it was Steele, she stood up. Waving, she yelled, "Hey Steele!"
Namari's voice completely startled him and he scrambled in the water for a moment. Looking around he finally see's her waving. He smiles, here was one person that could make him forget about all of his issues. He waves back to her and starts to swim to shore. Upon reaching the shore he says, "Fancy seein' ye here lass. Din't tell me ye already loss' control of yer dragoon." He jokes while the smell of wet dog fills the air.
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."
Steele paused upon hearing Namari's question and looked down. "I was...nothin' hinny." He says sullenly. Steele didn't know what to say, he wanted to tell someone about his problems to get the weight off of his chest, but who honestly would want to hear about HIS problems.
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."

Namari looked back at the man, and frowned. "Hey, don't leave me hanging, finish your sentence. You were about to say something, so say it. Arent we friends?" she smiled softly, hands on her hips.
Namari's response mad Steele smile. "Aye hinny, of course we're friends...tis' jus'..things' have been really bad lately...thee only upside bein' cashin' in on thee all thee' gold we got from thee dragoon. Otha' than that, I've been homeless." Steele says.
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."

"I care!" Namari pouted, crossing her arms.
"And if they kicked you out, they arent a true family Steele...you're welcome to live with me until you gain a new place to live, though." Namari smiled, slightly blushing.
Steele was full of gratitude. He went up and hugged Namari tightly "Thank ye very much, yer really savin' my hide here." Maybe people weren't as bad as Steele was brought up to believe.
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."

Namari pulled away and put both hands on her hips again. "My goodness, Steele, of course not! Geez, it's like you're trying to make up excuses to not stay at my house!" she laughed.
Steele felt more relaxed talking with Namari but he wasn't sure if he should tell her he was the reason the riot got so chaotic and destructive. He hesitated. "Hiiny, tis' aboot thee riot that happened...." He started.
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."

Namari nodded slowly, "Go on...you don't have to be afraid to tell me something, Steele, I'm all ears." Namari smirked, pointing to her long elven ears.
