Namari sighed, plopping down into a chair in the main room. There were multiple different rooms in the tower, and a lot of stairs. It was one of the highest buildings standing in Avaleur. The rooms were of a modest size, and it was quite lucky that Namari was able to snatch it.
It was hell to clean.
Namari used up the whole day cleaning, from early morning to growing dark outside. It was fairly clean, and she was quite proud of herself. Around the tower, playing, Peter and his newfound friend, the dragon Benny. Benny had hatched just a week before, and he was already prancing about, trying to set things on fire. He couldn't fly yet.
Namari chuckled as she watched them play, wiping the sweat from her forehead. This place better be worth it... she thought to herself.
Steele (human form) slid down the staircase. His whole front side was covered in sut. "Well hinny, thee window access in thee place is alreet'. Nd' someone coulda said there was carbon in thee attic befor' I lit that torch." He looked around. "wow lass, ye clean up quite nicely." He smiled and said. "Sorry I twasn't here ti' help I uh...had otha' things ti' tend to." He lies.
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."
"Oh nothin' hinny..." He starts. "Jus a little tradin'." He says pulling out a golden bracelet with a blue sapphire in the middle of it. "Jus a little thank ye fir' lettin' me move in with ye." He smiles giving it to her.
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."

Her blush grew as she took the gift. Placing it carefully on her wrist, she smiled gently. "...Thank you, Steele, but...you didnt have to get me this." Namari admired the bracelet as she spoke.
"Bah nonsense lass, how many people would honestly let a werewolf into their home? I'll tell ye how many, one." He says pointing to Namari. "Besides tis' nice ti' give somethin' I didn't steal fir' a change." He looked around and out one of the windows. "Ye know if there be' another riot nd' tis place gets destroyed, I'll be pissed." He jokes. "Oi how long did it take ye ti' renovate hinny?"
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."

"I barely had to do anything. Repair a few windows, replace some furniture...it was in fairly good shape!" Namari laughed. "And I'm glad to know that the bracelet isnt stolen!"
"I'm proud of us, though...we were able to handle the riot." Namari stared at the ground, smiling. "The people trust us now...it's going good."
"Aye we could handle a riot, but twat' happens when thee bastard' who started it leads a full fledged revolt?" He says. "Thee affairs of tis' country are somethin' I know little aboot, but from what I hear, Paineston isn't thee friendliest country in thee world."
(lol Typical Steele, oblivious and ambitious haha)
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."

"Technically speaking, Paineston is a kingdom, not a county," Namari smirked. "And I'm not too worried about it right this moment. The town, not just us, is looking for Enoch. We will find him." pausing, she asked, "I was wondering, what's keeping you here if you're not in the pack anymore? You could start a new life in a new country, or town. So why stay here?"
Steele raised his eyebrow. That was a rather sudden and deep question. "Because I have obligations hinny." he starts. "Balius may have kicked me out but at thee end of thee day he's jus' another prick." He looked at the window. "I'm goin' back nd' I'm takin' what's mine, I'm goin ti' challenge him fir thee Alpha position. So I'm not goin' ti run away like a little pup with its tail in between its legs, I'm goin ti' stand nd' fight er' die tryin'." He looked at Namari, "and I have other reasons fir' bein' here." He blushes a little.
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."

"That's good then. I hope you win, just, don't go dieing on m- us," she had been about to say me, but desided against it. Namari raised an eyebrow at Steele. She then smiled devilishly. "Is that a...blush, I see, Steele?" she slowly stood up, and stood infront of him. Poking his cheek, she chuckled. "Aww, the big-bad Steele is blushing!"
"Bah I din't know what yer' talking about elven woman." He says embarrassed. "I jus' have reasons fir' bein' here nd' that's all." He tried thinking of Walter to get his blushing to go away.
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."

( Oh gosh this is totally entertaining XDDDDDDD Tried to think of Walter, omg I laughed so hard at that! XDDDD )
"Oh reeally?" Namari poked at his cheek again, and said, "I know what's keeping you here...you totally like someone! So who is it?" Namari's heart stopped. She shouldnt have asked that. If he said it was anyone, it would break her heart. But, she tried to make no emotion but happiness show on her face as she awaited an answer.
Steele smiled. "Wells she's adventurous...full of pride...and has a good heart." He looked at Namari. "Not ti mention she's thee best fighter in all of thee arena."
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."
"Well.." Steele didn't really know how to say this. "Tat's because it tis' ye hinny. Ifin' it twasn't fir ye I'd be lyin' face first in a ditch somewhere er' bein' a killer, ye really save my hide bonny lass, nd' yer thee only one I know that actually listens ti' me nd' not look at me like I'm nothin'. Times when I jus' hated thee people in tis' toon so much ye were always there ti' keep me from bein' in a barley." Peter and Benny were watching Steele and Namari.
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."

Although seemingly impossible, Namari's face became even more red. "O-Oh..." she stared at the man's chest, at an utter lost for words. She bit her lip, trying to think of something to say. Comeon! He has the courage to say it, why don't you?! she thought to herself.
