After nearly three days of being in coma, Steele finally opened his eyes. He was human, his head was pounding, and his whole body still hurt from the tournament. He was bandaged up and his hands both had a cast. He had forgotten they were both broken in the tournament. He tried flexing his fingers and felt a sharp pain. He clenched his teeth and remembered a few of them were missing. He stopped for a moment, and gave a depressed sigh. He remembered all that happened that led him to the hospital. How terrible he'd been to others and the excruciating pain from the darkness. If it wasn't for his accelerated healing he would be dead.
He groaned getting up and looking around. He was glad his senses weren't still amplified to a ridiculous level like in the darkness.
It was night time but his room light was still on. It must have been for monitoring him in case he changed. He was wearing one of the white hospital patient gowns. His small wounds had healed, but the bigger ones were scarring. It didn't sit well with Steele to stay in the bed any longer, if there's one thing a werewolf can't stand, it's being cooped up in one spot.
Steele began getting up and shaking off the monitoring wires that were on him. He was still in a great amount of pain and he was practically grunting through his teeth the whole time doing this. The Nurse Aid button began to click. To anyone normal this would just sound like a tiny click going on and off, but for Steele, you might as well be banging a drum.
They would send someone, anyone, down to his room at any moment.
