Namari scowled, burning the tips of her fingers once again. She realized that, for all she was one of the best fighters, she had never used magic. So, off to work she got. She had managed to place about three stacks of magic books in the field, and read through the beginner ones first. Once she had read through it, she started practicing one of the most basic spells one could learn: a flame.
The maker of the flame is supposed to be able to touch it, and only feel a slight warmth. Namari was having no such luck.
"F-Fuck!" she yelled, burning herself. She placed her hand over the flame. When it did not go out, and only harmed her more, she pulled her hand away. When she did this, she accidentaly activated another spell which makes the small flame grow into a large fireball. Automatically she threw it. The ball of fire hit a practice dummy, engulfing it in flames. Namari's jaw dropped, but she quickly closed it. The fire burned up the dummy, and soon the tiniest flame had dissapeared.
"How is this a god damn beginners spell...?" she muttered to herself, going back to that spell and reading through it again in the book.

Phillis entered the practice field. He figured Namari would be there, and he was right. There she was. Was she practicing magic? That was odd. Phillis did not know she would be interested in magic at all. Well, nevermind, that's not what he came to talk about.
"Namari." Phillis called, as he approached her, his voice was strong, loud and rather angry sounding. "I need to talk to you. Now."

Namari winced a bit, hearing Phillis behind her. "...yes, my king?" Namari turned, smiling. She knew he was pissed off. Pissed off at her, clearly. So, might as well sound like the innocent type.

Phillis wasted no time, he got to the point immediately. "How in gods name did you let this happen?!" he asked. He was clearly talking about him becoming king. " You knew what type of a person I was, and you knew I was going to remember eventually."

Namari stared, before frowning. "...Phillis. ou must understand, although I trusted most of the people in the tournament to lead Avaleur, none of them had any profesional experience. You did. Why, do you not wish to be king? You wanted to enter the tournament, I could not deny you your wish."

"I had a serious head injury and you let me join a deadly tournament? I could have dead or worse, became king, which actually fucking happened. I got smashed in the head twice, you should be really relieved I didn't get some serious brain damage." Phillis didn't know why he was taking all of his anger out on Namari. It wasn't even her fault, afterall.

"Kid, like I said...I couldnt do a god damn thing. If I could have it my way, Steele Denzel and you would have never competed." Namari sighed. "What's your problem with being king? You have experience. And I said I would help you with whatever you needed."

"Because, I came here to get rid of that life! And here it is again, except this time people depend on me more. Do you not realize I nearly destroyed this country as a five year old? I'm terrible at this. You could have done something to stop me from entering. I don't fucking know, anything. Really."
But it was too late to take that back, even he knew that, he just needed to rant to someone. Unfortunately, rather than that, he was pushing the blame upon another person. An innocent one at that.

Phillis sighed. "Really? That's the part you listen to?"
He took a deep breath. Stop being an asshole, Phillis.
"Remember the second time we declared war on you all? It was my fault, and we would have won had my father not needed our knights back to attack another country." he shrugged his shoulders. " I mean, whatever, but I can't help that think I'll make another stupid mistake like that, so I'm sorry for being such a bitch to you, but this is something that really freaks me out. A lot."
Ryn walked into the training field and stopped suddenly when he heard all the yelling. Of all times to meet with the king he chooses the very worst time. He got a little nervous. He didn't want to seem like he was eavesdropping but he didn't want to just barge right into an important conversation. He stopped and decided he would just wait his turn, listening in on the two's conversation.
(Oh geez I don't think Ryn has met either Namari or Phillis lol)

"...Phillis...there are a lot of people here to help you." she smiled. "Me, Walter, Roland, Dante, Denzel...theres a lot of people who will help you. But, we cannot rule Avaleur properly without you. If you are king...Paineston will be much more weary to attack. Otherwise, lets say I became ruler of Avaleur, they would not hesitate to destroy us."

"I guess you're right," Phillis looked Namari directly in the eyes. "I'm sorry." he sincerely said, possibly one of the first times he managed to make eye contact while saying it.

"It's alright, Phillis. I suppose you're very stressed right now. So don't worry about it," she chuckled. Looking around, she grinned, "So what do you think of your castle?"

"It's alright. Really doesn't compare to Paineston but it is..quaint." Phillis smiled. "At least I don't have to deal with family here. I suppose that makes it better in some aspects."
