Phillis had heard about the death of Stacy and decided to visit her grave. It felt nice to leave the castle for once.
He had only met Stacy once..or twice, he couldn't remember. Either way, she was a very nice girl and her fate was unfortunate. He knew she was the cousin of Dante, so he worried if the boy was handling the situation okay. He had looked for him, but couldn't find him anywhere.
He sighed, placing a single flower onto the grave. He stood, putting his hands together and saying a small prayer for the girl.

Dantes expression was blank as he passed the graves of so many from Avaleur. One hand was in his pocket, and the other held a bouque of roses. He seemed emotionless, but inside it was killing him. He hadnt been able to find a cure. And now, she was gone.
At least she shall never have to deal with that damned disease again, and neither will anyone else... he thought bitterly. He stopped, spotting someone at her grave. Squinting his eyes, he spotted Phillis. He relaxed a bit.
He walked over to the man, standing beside him as he placed the bouque next to the flower Phillis had placed down, not saying a word.

Phillis opened one eye as he heard someone approaching him. He noticed it was Dante and wasn't sure whether to smile and say something wise or to just remain silent. Instead, he decided to hug the boy "Hey." he spoke, his voice quiet and soothing.

Staring at Phillis, he let out a bitter chuckle. "I let her die, Phillis...I...I could have saved her if I really tried. If I had just found a cure, but...but I didnt...and she's payed the price of my ignorance..."

"Oh, no, Dante, It's not your fault at all. Don't blame yourself for this." Phillis said, placing his hands on Dantes shoulders, looking him straight in the eyes. " Some things are just unavoidable. With a sickness that bad, chances are that nobody would be able to cure her. Don't place the burden on yourself, she wouldn't want you to do that."

"You don't undertand Phillis, I didn't try hard enough...I...I..." Dante didnt know what to say. He knew Phillis was right, but it hurt. Dante bursed into tears, grabbing Phillis and pulling him into a tight hug.

Phillis hugged the boy back. He gently patted his back in an attempt to comfort him. "There, there. Just let it all out." he said, running out of things to say.

Dante shook as he cried. He had never felt so useless. He thought his magic could solve any problem. And now; now he felt as if his magic was useless. After he had calmed down, he pulled away from Phillis. Sniffling, he said, "...thank you, Phillis..."

"Just came to say a short prayer, I guess. I was looking for you earlier. Couldn't find you anywhere though." Phillis smiled a bit. He played with Dantes hand.

Dante smiled weakly. "Yeah, mostly I've been in the forest...I was going to places that I went before I died. Remember the time we were in the marsh? And Steele tried to trick us? He seems much more reformed now!"

Phillis laughed. " yeah, he certainly has changed quite a bit." he said, thinking back. " A lot has changed a lot since you died, actually. It must be hard to get used to."

"It's nice though. Most things have changed for the better." Dante nodded. "I'm glad that I got to see Stacy one last time, though, that was a bonus...I hadnt seen her in years."

"Yes, she was quite the girl..." he grinned. "I remember so many good memories with the people of Avaleur...I'm suprised Namari is no longer mad at me, though, I'd have thought she would have tried to slice me in half by now!"

"Probably because I'd banish her from the kingdom is she did." Phillis said with a laugh. " No, these days she's much more forgiving and kind-hearted."
