Jordan was sad. One of his favourite activities to do, was skating. But there was no large body of water that he found that was covered in ice. anything frozen was too small to skate on. Jordan sat by the edge of the lake, frowning, thinking of what to do. It clicked in his head, and the boy grinned. He took off his gloves, and placed his hands just on the surface of the water. The water slowly began to turn to ice. He didnt do the whole lake, just a small bit, enough to skate on. He put on his gloves again, and put on his skates.
Slowly he made his way onto the ice. It was stable enough to skate on, he noted, and grinned.
He began to do laps around the ice. Once he was warmed up (not literally, of course, he's cold to the bone) Jordan began doing tricks. Spins, skating backwards, really anything. He was enjoying himself immensly.

"No way." Seth said sitting by a tree and drawing with his sketchbook like he normally did. In all his time in Avaleur he'd never seen anything quite as fascinating as this. He ran over to the shore and watched as a person he didn't know skated gracefully on the ice. He smiled. "Hey!" He called over to him.

Helping Seth up, Jordan pulled an ID card out of his pocket. He gave it to Seth. It stated Jorda's name, age, the fact that he was a noble, that he was from Hielo, practically anything anyone would need to know about him.
"Oh I see, your one of the elemental races." He looks around. "And apparently it's ice." He laughs. "That's so cool." He says trying to keep his balance on the ice. "All my studying at Avaleur and I never could figure out how the elemental races came to be, and your a noble!? Well I'm honored to be in your presence." He smiles slowly sliding on the ice.

Jordan smiled, bowing slightly. Taking off a glove, he placed a hand on the ice. Slowly, the ice seemed to have words on them. It stated "We came to be from the elements themselves, the elements created us."
"I see." Seth says putting one foot in front of the other, slowly skating around. "Well hey, I respect that." He smiles. "I bet that I can beat you to the other end and back." He says with an eager smile.
Seth slowly slid over to Jordan's end slipping a few times on the way. Once he finally got to the edge, he looked at Jordan. "Okay, I'll say go." He looks to the other side. "Ready....Set...." Seth shape shifts into an Ice Elemental. "GO!" Immediately he skates out, much more better than he had previously.

Jordan smirked. Changing into an ice elemental will not help you... he thought, speeding towards the other side of the ice. Jordan had been skating for years, not to mention he was born into the element. And, even besides all of that, he always won skating contests.
Seth thought he would have the upper-hand on Jordan, but as soon as he said go Jordan whizzed right by him, his speed far superior. "Wha!?" Seth said surprised. By the time he got towards the end Jordan was already gracefully skating back to the other end. Seth turned his head as Jordan went by taking his eyes off the ice ahead and clumsily goes off the edge of the rink into the lake. He floated in the water shifting back to normal, Jordan had clearly won the race. Seth laughed. "I thought I had you for sure." He says.
"How'd you get so good?" He asked. "I've never seen anyone skate that well, or skate in general." He says. "Everywhere I've been its always sun grass and trees."
"hmmm." Seth said looking around the ice rink. "We could make a business out of this." He says. "I can see it now, 25 coins for whoever wants to skate, Skating lessons on Saturdays for 15. Yeah this could work." Seth says ambitiously. "There's nothing like this around the country of Avaleur, people would love the opportunity. What do you say?" Seth asks.
