He nodded understanding as he heard and saw all the drunks. He thought about if he should give his actual name, why not he had no ties and no other life than this, his name was already fear in many places. "Devan." he stated simply, "Devan Azul, and you?"
"Mostly I just defy god." Rio stated and then decided to explain. " I hate angels, and the idea of following the liking of god. I despise that lifestyle." She looked at Devan. "And you?"
"High result assassin. And I must agree with you on the whole defy god thing. In fact my whole family shares that thought. Men should have the power to control their own lives, and it's time the gods are thrown out."
Rio smirked with interest. "Interesting you would agree, I haven't met many people who do. You're quite right, the idea of the gods rules is outrageous."
He clenched his fist. "We were so close before Enoch haulted the whole project! But you cannot kill the Hydra." he thought for a moment, "Maybe you could join us, if proven good enough."
He hadn't expected an answer so suddenly, Devan was a bit taken back and decided to make sure she knew what she was getting into. "Before I get into more details, let me explain a few things. What I am about to say is a portion of the rules and information, I will only say what I am aloud to speak about with possible members. First, you must have no weakness of heart. Your family, your spouse, your whatever, all must perish because of the fact that they leave you vulnerable. Unless you can prove that somehow they make you stronger and don't threaten the security of the whole, this is a one time thing though, you have one chance to prove it to the higher authority. Second, betrayal costs you your life. No exceptions." he stopped for a moment, "Any questions before I continue with the proving yourself?"
Rio shook her head. "I have nothing to lose, after all, look at where I am." She looked around the camp. "I'm willing to do anything to make god hate me. Anything to defy him. Now..Go on, tell me more."
"We are known by very few, but those who do know, know us as the Black Hydra. Now to become a member one must be selected by a master. Your master will test you without knowing in several ways before you take the final test. If you pass then you learn from he or she until you are accepted as a master or higher authority. I can suggest you to be watched and the process will begin." Devan explained. He took out a gold coin imprinted with a black design of intertwined Hydra heads on one side and nothing but gold and flat on the other. He held it out offering it to her. "Take it and defy the gods."
Devan nodded in approval. "I'm not sure if there are any that would be a 'perfect fit for you, but no doubt they will have someone that will teach you much." he looked up stretching his arms out wide. "Rio, if they are advancing rapidly already, I cannot even imagine how fast they will once you are accepted in."
Devan was overjoyed to see Rio excited about this. He was excited too. This only proved the theory once agian, if you cut one head off, two more grow in its place. The Hydra may have lost their most valuable member, Cornelius, but soo he would be replaced by more members and his loss would be hidden by what they brought to the table. "It was truly great meeting you. Perhaps I'll have to show my skills sometime."
Rio nodded. "It'll be interesting. Looking forward to seeing it." she said, as she turned around, ready to leave. " Well, until we meet again, this is good-bye."
