Namari quickly swung at the metal dummy, strike by strike, her sword stopping right before it hit it. Namari was practicing her maneuvers, not her strengths, so she felt no need to hit it. She had finally made up for her handicap of only owning one arm. To do this, she had improved her use with a sword, and was able to put up a small force field type of magic. Probably as big as a shield. So she was able to protect herself as if she did have a real shield. Namari found it absolutely brilliant.
The woman continued to practice. Many new people had begun coming to Avaleur. And yet she had heard nothing about any crimes. It was going fairly well. And yet, she was a bit sad. She had not seen most of her friends as of late. Mostly she had only seen the king, and Dante, and that's it. She was rarely seeing Steele, Roland and Walter had disappeared, and she was wondering what had happened to Denzel after their argument.
The thought of all this angered Namari, causing her to strike down on the dummy. It sliced right in half. Namari stared at it for a moment, before sighing. She placed her sword on her back, and began cleaning the mess.

Phillis whistled as he witnessed Namari slice the dummy in half. He had been watching her practice for a few minutes. He had been looking for her and didn't want to interrupt her. After all, she looked like she had some issues she needed to work out.
"You do know we only have a few of those, right?" he asked the woman, half-sarcastic. He approached her.

Namari looked up, and smirked at the man. "Ahh, yes, but I wouldnt worry too much my king. This stuff is useful for scrap metal now. What brings you here?" she asked as she cleaned up.

Phillis nodded. " I came here hoping to find you. You see, I got another letter from Winston about the Avaleur-Paineston treaty. Except, for whatever reason, his writing is absolutely atrocious and I cannot decipher a single word. So I thought perhaps a commoner would better be able to read messy writing. No offense, of course. It just makes you more useful."

"Commoner? Really? Do you not remember my royal herritage?" Namari chuckled, but none the less read through the letter.
"Ahh, here we go, this is what it says. Dear Phillis, how are you? I've heard Avaleur is slowly improving. Congratulations, little brother. How is Cece doing? I hear she likes the kingdom. I put a lot of thought into the idea of a treaty and I begin to like it more and more. I would like to request an immediate meeting if possible. We should sort details out as soon as possible. Sincerely, Winston."

"A written letter, I suppose." Phillis responded, not quite understanding the question. Then it clicked in. "Oh, did you mean.. Right. I'm not quite sure yet. A meeting seems like a good idea."

Namari nodded. "I know he's your brother and everything, but, Phillis...the council itself did not take too kindly to me staying there. Are you sure a treaty is the best idea...?"

"Well, perhaps they thought you were kidnapping the princess or stealing information from them. You never know." Phillis spoke, making excuses. " Besides, if we see something suspicious in the meeting then we can call the whole thing off. It'll be fine."

Phillis smirked. It was fun being the king because he won every argument. "So then, what's got you so upset? The way you were hacking at that dummy earlier was insane."

Namari shrugged. "...a bunch of things. I rarely see Steele, Denzel and I got into a very large argument, and Roland and Walter are missing! The only good news is that there seems to hardly be any crime around lately."

"Oh my, that's worrisome." Phillis said, thinking over what she said. How had he not known this? He should be more aware of those types of things. "First off, why did you fight with Denzel? She seems to be having a lot of issues these days."

"I supposedly let her die in the tournament..." Namari grunted. "And yet she was the one who brought her death upon herself by using that spell. Not to mention nothing was againsed the rules, I had no reason to step in..."

Phillis nodded in agreement. "You do have a point. Her death has nothing to do with anyone but herself. She's probably just angry she didn't go with my brilliant strategy of doing nothing." He spoke, rather proud of himself (although he didn't have much to be proud of.)
"Moving on. How on earth did Roland and Walter go missing and why have I never heard about this?"
Post by Namari Lovelle on Jan 27, 2012 19:07:38 GMT -5
"They just went missing. I doubt anything really happened, both are strong. Not to mention Walter's a demon. They could get out of anything. Maybe something urgent happened and they're taking care of it? Who knows." Namari shrugged.

"No, we havent fought...I just don't know, I've seen him occationally, but not for very long and we rarely talk...I just don't understand it," she let out a sigh, sitting down besides the scrap metal.

Phillis sighed. "Well, that is certainly stressful. I suppose I can forgive for destroying this dummy now. But only because you're so full of issues at the moment."
