"Well, I'm not sure what you mean by that. But kiddo, you're in a whole new town now! People are going to listen to what you have to say. And if they don't, you've got to make them." Scooter spoke, standing up. "But I suppose now isn't the time for a life lesson." He walked towards the griffin. "Don't be angry, friend! We were only playing here. We didn't mean to upset you! We really like you, honest to Almora we do."

It growled at Scooter, but was still unable to do anything based on the fact he was standing on ice. Jordan turned to Scooter, "I really suggest we run away instead of try and reason with it, I mean...I barely think it can understand us, my friend..."

Jordan grabbed the boys arm, laying a sheet of ice under them. Jordan slid on it, and the ice on the griffin went away. It began chasing them, but Jordan quickly layered the ice through the forest. The griffin gave chase for a while, before finally giving up and stopping. After a while of skating away, Jordan stopped and got rid of the ice. He smiled at the boy, letting go of his arm. Then it hit him.
"Son of a- I forgot my gloves!" he sighed, rubbing his temples.
Scooter smiled back a bit. In all truth, he had decided to stop the rain when the griffin showed up because he knew that griffins weren't very big fans of rain. He decided he didn't want to be a bother to anyone. So he would never frown again, not even by himself.
"Say, I forgot to say thanks for saving me back there, so thanks!" he exclaimed, hugging Jordan tightly. "You're a real good pal!"
Scooter blushed a bit as he grinned. Nobody had really patted his head since his brother, Flip. "Well, I do suppose I should go home now. It was very lovely seeing you again, I hope we meet again soon! Bye now!" he waved, running off suddenly.
