Welcome to Avaleur, a medieval fantasy roleplay site where anything is a possibility. Face bandits, or knights. Work your way up to become part of Avaleur's castle, or try your luck at being a thief. Own a shop, be a guild master, start a family. The possibilities are endless.
Dadramora sighed. "This land is only accessable by teleportation and air. The reason for that is because it is held aloft in the sky by dragon magic so old, not even the great ones know where it came from. We assume that it was the original, the omega, that did it so he could raise his offspring in peace. The great ones are the third generation of dragons, the first two living in unknown places. That is why I'm frightened. If Tetra has the capabilities to do that get here with magic they dont know about, then kudos. But if they did it purely with technology... that's a scary thought."

"Probably technology to be honest." Namari shrugged. "Tetra is very advanced...you never really know. Everything can be surpassed if you try hard enough, especially if the thing you are trying to surpass is older."
Dosise pondered on everything he had heard and seen for a moment, "Are either of you two familiar with levistone?" He had always that it was a thing of legend and bedtime stories, but perhaps there was some truth to it.
Dosise explained, "Well basically it is a stone, actually more like a metal, that is said to allow levitation. It is used in high grade armors and weapons to make them extremely light weight, but no one has ever been able to purify or has ever found a high enough quality levistone that has made anything float. It has been said to be myth that it could truly let someone levitate, but perhaps they figured something out? I am not so sure though, the stone itself is very difficult to find."
"I know what you may be thinking, if it makes things float why is it hard to find? Wouldn't it make float whatever was containing it? It is said that its activated once soaked in water and it needs to have direct contact with air.

Dadramora shrugged. "If that's true then it must've been one big fucking stone to get enough people up here to change this much of the buildings and underground."

Dadramora kept swearing to himself again. "Levistones do exist, yes, but the one bad thing about them is no two are the same. Even if the stone is the same size and you use many together, each of them have a different level of power meaning that if you used more than one it would be extremely unbalanced, unable to guide it anywhere. Dragoons discovered that the hard way when we tried to teach our young ones flight before they were given their wings, and many died from the unbalanced flight. Nothing could have gotten here in a unified force with, oh, five levistones each. It would have to be one whole, unbroken levistone. And probably a ship as well."

"Hmm..." Namari thought for a few moments. "Well, to be honest I have no clue how they could get up here in the first place, so I can't really throw in any ideas."
"We didn't. They were already there, all we did was use them. If there are any on Avaleur they would be the same way. All you'd need to do is tie a rope onto one and bam, something floats in the air should the stone be strong enough."

"Very few. they are strong but proud, too proud to hang around one another unless it is mating season. Last I knew, there were only twenty max, but I guess it's around ten or so."
