Welcome to Avaleur, a medieval fantasy roleplay site where anything is a possibility. Face bandits, or knights. Work your way up to become part of Avaleur's castle, or try your luck at being a thief. Own a shop, be a guild master, start a family. The possibilities are endless.
Rolan could hardy contain his excitement when he had seen the shores of Avaleur from on the boat, and now that they had docked, he ha practically ran off of the ship. The fresh sea air filled his lungs. He was home.
With him he had brought a few things. After Tetra had heard what had happened to Roland, Isaac, Ryn, and Walter, they had gave them their most sincer apology and gave them safe and free passage back to Avaleur. Roland had been the last to leave as he had spent time with family. The kingdom of terra sent him back with a few things as well, a new spear, upgraded and state of the art Avaleurian blue armor, and of course something for Phillis saying how sorry his knights were taken from him. It was in a sack that he had dared not look in.
Roland walked the docks, it was sort of strange. When he first arrived he hated that he was in Avaleur, now he wished to be no where else. He wondered who he would see first. Ryn? Namari? Steele? He wasn't sure but couldn't wait.
Dadramora saw the man in blue dragonscale armor walking along the docks from the air. Immediately, he wanted to know where he got the amount of scales it would take to make that armor. So Dadramora dove down at very high speeds and extended his wings a few hundred feet from the ground to slow his descent, landing directly in front of Roland. He turned on him and asked him furiously-"Where the hell did you get that armor?!"
If what'cha see is what'cha get, why can't ya judge a book by its cover?
Roland shaded his eyes and watched the strange figure approach him. It wasn't Kavanah, someone new to town? He had been gone for awhile. Dadramora stood infront of Roland and he was a little taken back by his furiousness, perhaps he was jealous. "I have slain a dragon, the original scales were gold. This is just high quality dye." he explained.
"Then that means you are Roland. Ready your weapon. Let us see how a dragonslayer fares against a dragoon." Dadramora said. With that, he readied his spear and his barbed shield, ready for a skirmish.
If what'cha see is what'cha get, why can't ya judge a book by its cover?
Roland chuckled, "Seems I can't escape war." he set his things to his side and picked up his spear. He readied himself into a stance. Roland had been studying Dadramora carefully ever since he had spotted him the sky. Dragon? Maybe, he could certainly get the wings and tail. That ment dragon, shifter, of perhaps dragoon.
Dadramora then confirmed his theories, he was dragoon. This battle may get tough, he didn't want the docks, ships, or worse, people, to get hurt or in the way. He got out of his stance picked up his bag and began waling out toward the beach. "How about we distance ourselves first, no need to bring others into it."

Dadramora didn't feel like like walking. Instead, he touched Roland and teleported both of them into the surf of the beach. The water wasn't very deep, just deep enough to cover their ankles. "Dragonscales aren't something that can be just worn right off the bat. You should bless them, make them as strong as they were on the dragon. You dishonor those scales, and i have half a mind to just strip them off of you right now."
If what'cha see is what'cha get, why can't ya judge a book by its cover?
Roland backed out of the water and set his bag over by the rocks on the beach. "I know what you are thinking, that's what was thought for a long time. But research has shown that by slaying the dragon and taking its scales, you therefore bested it and recieved it's blessing. And it is impossible to get them to be as strong, on the dragon they are 'living' off they are no longer. I appreciate the concern however. So what brings you to Avaleur? I doubt it is merely to battle me." he said as he walked back over into the water and got once again into a stance.
Dadramora sighed. "Listen Roland. I am far older than you, and research can show whatever the fuck it wants to show. I lived and fought next to dragons for more than sixty years. Trust me when I say that the dragon you got those off of didn't bless them. At all. Dragons rarely do that, only in circumstances that they find good. Those scales are unblessed, and they can be as strong as when they were on the dragon with the proper blessings. The dragon you killed was a direct descendent of the Golden One. That family branch doesn't bless their scales or the person who takes them. They just don't. But they are also the dragon family that are apt at illusions, so apparantly you have been fooled. They aren't blessed. And what I'm doing in Avaleur is none of your concern. Defeat me, and I will tell you. Be warned though, you will lose.'

Roland chuckled, "Well I know you are older than me, you are probably about... 87 I would say. And just because you have fought next to them doesn't mean everything is known, no disrespect. Perhaps blessed wasn't the best word for me to use I understand that, but I am not fooled. Could they be stronger? Yes, but I don't want the blessing of any other dragon, wouldn't seem right to me. Them blessing scales of a fallen comrade. As for beating me, your age and knowledge of magic would be my downfall." he smiled, "But if we agreed to use strictly spears and your shield you may be surprised." his new spear was more than capable of penetrating Dadramora's armor, Tetra's weaponry technology was mactched by none, even the dragoons of Isiolde, assuming he was from there. It was the only place he knew to be the home of dragoons. Roland had studied every inch of the man. His movements, his items, his personality. He was a fearsome fighter, he would certainly enjoy this.

Dadramora shook his head. "I know what you are thinking, that your spear would penetrate my armor. That is where you are wrong my rival. This armor is made from a metal unknown to any other living thing except dragoons. It has been specially crafted to withstand attacks from Goria himself, the only Ancient Fiin left. His weaponry and skills are far beyond that of Tetra's. I won't lie, Tetra's weaponry capabilities exceed my peoples by far, except in this. This is one of ten sets of armor like this, and not even Goria's blades could pierce it without trouble. If you still wish to fight, then I will gladly do so, but neither of us will wear any armor. Just one hint of advice, this shield's barbs are each sharper than a dragon fang. And I know how to use my spear and shield just as well as I can use my sword, or a bow, or an axe. Ryn was tough, but careless. You seem calm and collected, so due to that I estimate that in pure martial prowess you are my superior by a small margin, but I am faster and stronger. So, no armor?"

Roland frowned, "Your home was defeated was it not? I am sad to inform you that this spear is made of the same material as your armor. Tetra went to Isiolde, reason for it I'm not sure, I just know that when they got there they took a few weapons and armor to study. This metal being among one of the things found, I received it because I helpped them in war. They took very little, nothing big or important, leaving everything for if you were to come back, but I must inform you that they said there wasn't any dragoons there." he sighed thinking perhaps of the positive, "Did you relocate? Oh sorry you'll tell me if a win," he chuckled. "Sorry to ramble when you just want a fight, we can lose the armor if you'd like, however it will only make me faster." he smirked, "You probably got me on strength but I'm not so sure on speed."
Dadramora looked at Roland, dumbfounded. "Tell me Roland, how is it that Tetra managed to get to a place on the other side of the planet only accessable by air or by a teleportation stone near the shore of Avaleur that wasn't there until only a few short weeks ago? And if that spear is made of the same material, what are the blessings endowed on it? What is the name of that metal? How do you mine it? How do you forge it to get the correct texture? And better yet, how do you examine an armor that has no qualities of any other metal known in Avaleur without tampering with it, which would destroy it and turn it to ash instantly if not done by anybody except the one who forged it? No, I'm sorry, but your people couldn't have been to Isiolde. Not enough technology here to do it, and your mages, many and skilled though they are, don't know dragon magic, which is what my people use. That spear may be made of a similar metal, but they are not the same. That I can promise you my arrogant friend. It can pierce my armor as effectively as a carrot can. And yes, I guarantee that I'm faster than you. Being a quarter dragon does increase my physical capabilities astronomically compared to a normal human being. Like I said, your martial prowess is better by a slim margin, but my physical prowess is far beyond yours. Accept all of these facts, accept that the man before you knows more about dragons than anybody save a dragon itself, and that you cannot win." With that, Dadramora aimed his spear at Roland, releasing the magic keeping his wings and tail out. "I can defeat you with my eyes closed. All I need is my hearing, my sense of smell, and my sense of touch." Then Dadramora closed his eyes, waiting.

Roland frownded, "It seems you are the arrogant one. To answer your questions, you said your armor was made of unknown metal, mine is also. They have yet to figure out its properties, so that was how I knew they where the same. I am afraid I can answer your other questions on how it's made of what is in it, because as a just said its unknown to me and them at this time. Although they are very certain it was forged with dragon's breath. How tetra got there would be military information that I am not allowed to know so asking me was just foolish on your part. I will not accept you know the most about dragons, that is a lie. The most out of people I know yes probably. And finally as for your physical power and speed, well if that was all that mattered in a fight you would win, but it's not. I recommend opening your eyes but it's whatever you wish." Roland began circling Dadramora not going in the same direction or speed for long, because of the waves and water splashing around it would be impossible to pin point his location, the sea salt that came from the water the sprayed onto the two would also fill the sense of smell would blur Roland's position. Only with ones eyes and ears could you do it. Roland shook his head, this man had much to learn.
Roland was now nowhere near where Dadramora was pointing, as he refused to open his eyes. He twirled his spear high in the air above his head so Dadramora would hear it, he instantly ducked down and sweeped at his leg with a forceful leg sweep that would render him off balance if not knocking him over.

Dadramora lept into the air, easily avoiding the sweep and brought the shaft of his own down on Roland's back, then danced backwards away from him. "They aren't the same. Just because two metals are unknown doesn't mean they are the same. And again, it is unknown to Avaleur. I know all of those things, I just don't divulge the information readily. Just like that armor is made from dragon scales from a golden dragon-" He dodged another blow of Rolands and again danced backwards away from him. "-and is very loud compared to most dragon armor. If it WAS blessed correctly, which I'm sure it isn't, then even without magic you should be able to use basic illusion spells due to the magical effects of that armor. Just like how I can use very advanced fire and wind spells due to this armor. Dragon scale plated, with that metal you don't know of underneath, and-" Again, he dodged another blow, then blocked the next with his shield. "- I have more access to a dragon's knowledge than anybody in Avaleur. I have a dragon soul wrapped around my neck at this very moment, and while it is difficult to communicate effectively with words, images are worth far more." With that, Dadramora opened his eyes and did a straight kick right into Roland's chest. "Now, enough with the talking and fight me for real."

Roland was surprised, Dadramora was able to block his attacks just in time. But it mad him chuckle because when he tried to counter Roland's attacks he had returned with attacks in the complete opposite direction.
Finally he opened his eyes so he could stop going easy on Dadramora, "Well I'd rather you not continue that," he chuckled, "But if they are both unknown metals from Isiolde then obviously they are the same." Roland had tried to be positive, but the report on dragoons was unfortunately right, they looked down and always thought as themselves superior. "Let's finish this."
Dadramora chuckled. " Gladly. But who's to say that yours is from Isiolde? Maybe the one who gave it to you lied, or he doesn't know what he's talking about, because I can guarantee you from forging my own set of armor from that metal that your spear is NOT of the same material." Dadramora held his ground, then turned to his side, shield down and spear behind him at an angle to the ground. "Your move."

"I doubt the king's hand lied to me, but I will accept your opinion. Perhaps there are two unknown metals from Isiolde. But it would penetrate," he chuckled, "At least better than a carrot."
Roland twirled his spear to the side and grabbed with one hand. He then lunged at Dadramora.
Dadramora let Roland approach him then quickly raised his shield and caught the shaft of the spear in between two of the barbs and wrenched Roland to the left, then used that momentum to jump into the air and twist around him, jamming the butt of his spear into Roland's abdomen, then crouched and went to kick his left knee.

Roland dodged the spear butt by letting himself be pulled to the left out of its way and feel to his knees. He caught dadramora's foot and slammed down on his knee with the rod of the spear as he held the mans foot between his arm and chest.
Roland then rolled to the right and quickly stood up. Water poured off his face and hair.
