Welcome to Avaleur, a medieval fantasy roleplay site where anything is a possibility. Face bandits, or knights. Work your way up to become part of Avaleur's castle, or try your luck at being a thief. Own a shop, be a guild master, start a family. The possibilities are endless.
"Not really, just suggests you are a shy individual." he felt bad for changing the subject so many times. He was trying to find something he liked, but he shouldn't be so selfish. "So you work at the theatre, the garden, what else? Go ahead and tell me about yourself, if you will. It's not everyday you meet a performer after all."
" I am not that interesting. Besides, we have only been speaking of myself. What about you? You seem to lead a more productive life." Lorelei suggested.
Roland chuckled, "You seemed to be very interesting so far, but we can switch to me.... For now." he joked. "As far as more productive," he again chuckled, "I don't think you could say that. I think I have the worst possible job as far as productiveness. I am a Knight of Avaleur, I train soldiers to fight for people like you. The ones who can't fight for themselves. And I teach them how to do it right. That's about it, I hunt sometimes but other than that, that is it. Boring isn't it?"
Roland chuckled, "You can tell all that by just listening and looking at me? What if I had been lieing?" he asked. "As for more like me? I wouldn't say I am perfect by any means, I mean I make some terrible mistakes."
Roland smiled, "Well, yes. I do suppose that is true." Roland was always his biggest critic. "I think if we had less people like me, I wouldn't want to be me," he laughed, "I wouldn't be unique ya know?"
"It would be a world full of people who are over worked and under paid. Though I suppose it is already like that." Lorelei laughed it off. "The world as a musical would be more interesting though, I agree."
"Of course. During wars the arts suffer greatly. There are many people who still come to the theatre, but dramatically less than usual. Most money is spent on weapons and such."
Roland smiled lightly, he didn't think himself as that strong. I mean, he could barely protect the town in the first battle. "Thank you, I do appreciate that."
