Devan's body lay limp in a web of chains. He was still standing on the ground but his head was down. What seemed to hold him in a standing position was the chains and it appeared that his arms and body were caught in the chains that decorated the alleyway. His face and body still had holes the opened up to reveal his skeletal system. They would never heal. His body dripped a large amount of blood on the stone alley path.
((Devan's back XD for all you people who missed this crazy guy!))

Rez walked through the dark alleyways. They had a horrible, tormenting affect on his stomach as he ventured through them. He was lost and he had the worst feeling about it. He just hoped he would get out without running into trouble.
The man turned a corner to see a large man tied in change, blood seeming to drip from him and pool in the ground. He paused in horror fr a moment... Wait what was he doing? He had to help the man if he could.
Rez rushed over and stepped into the pool of blood on the ground to get close enough for him to check for a pulse in the man.
An evil and morbid grin spread across the hidden part of Devan's face as he hear the trudge of footsteps and felt the fingers on his neck. There was a clinking of chains as they slowly moved in the wind. The next sound was a loud scratching of the metal against metal and stone. With a leg sweep and the twist and pulls in various ways in the chain Devan had the man caught in a web. His limbs each wrapped tight and another around his neck as he dangled above the stone path.
Devan chuckled darkly, "I appreciate the thought anyway, I just think you are the one in need of help. Not me."
Rez was checking the man's pulse and then the next thing he knew he was thrown into the air and being nearly torn apart by chains. He was caught, ensnared by the chains and tricked by this evil man! He thought he was helping him.
He was unable to get a good sounding word out with the chain around his neck, his voice was raspy and struggled, "Wh-why, I I don't, understand..." he coughed.
"Because I am sending a message. You, you are the canvas that I will display my message to the world on... You should feel privileged." he played with his scythe. Soon he would cut the limbs off of this man and leave him to drown in his own blood, maybe someone would come and he wouldn't be alone for his last moments.
As Devan looked him over he began to recognize Rez. He was that super human, killing machine during the war. The dude was basically unstoppable. All of that must have fried his brain, he looked clueless. Decan chuckled, "I know you... You fought in the war. You could do whatever you wanted. Made the other guy look like a puss, too bad you two never made it to each other on the field though.."
Devan held the ends of the chains to keep the man elevated, but to further the torment of his victim he would need his hands. He pulled tighter, tightening the bonds on Rez and stabbed the blades ends into the ground. Now he could use his hands. "What is the matter? All that power melt your brain or something?"
Rez clenched his teeth as the chains squeezed his wrist even tighter, possibly cutting off circulation. Whatever he was, whatever he had, thi man was right.... It had melted his brain... He was at a loss of words, mostly because the chain on his neck had tightened as well and he could hardly breath let alone speak.

Devan walked up, now close to Rez, he placed one hand on the man's shoulder and the other on his upper arm. He began to pull slowly, his giant strength would soon rip the arm right off from the the shoulder joint, being extremely painful. He smiled under his mask. "Isn't it divine? The pain? Does it not make you feel real, does it not make you feel the strength of your body? How much can you take?!" He laughed into the air, "Will you last, or will the pain be too much and you fall of before I'm done?"
The pain was immense and although he couldn't see under the mask, Rez could see the man smile from his face. His check had a hole in it and it revealed his teeth. What was this thing?! Was he some sort of demon?!
Rez moaned out in pain as he felt his tendons slowly ripping apart.
Devan decided to be done with this limb and twisted and pulled his arm. It ripped and snapper as the joint and tendons broke. Blood sprayed from the wound and then began to pour on the ground. He tossed the arm to the side like it was a core from an apple he had just finished. He now began on the man's leg. Starting at the knee so he could make it last longer.
Again he began to pull and twist the limb. The chains from the limb he had ripped off swung off and rattled against the wall of a building. He couldn't wait to see if someone came running for help, it would be much to late anyway.
Rez was able to utter a scream of pain as his arm was literally ripped from him. Tears Welles in his eyes from the pain. Now it had become a little easier to breath since some of the tension was lost from the web when the arm was taken off. He huffed tryin to stay strong.
The pain brought back memories, were they of him before he had lost everything. He remembered doing things he never thought possible, but then remembered he had known about it, but he had been able to do it. Things flooded his mind as the pain continued to refresh his memory and awaken himself.
Devan chuckled to himself and ripped the man's leg off from the knee, blood again spraying over the two before it dripped onto the ground. "You are stronger than I thought, I figured it had left you with your abilities," he twirled the leg around before tossing it to the side. The release of the chains caused Rez's body to only be caught on one side, which sent the man swinging towards the brick building side.
He screamed again and whimpered in pain. He felt his body swing and he looked around in panic. He saw the wall getting closer very quickly and tried to do something but it was impossible. He slammed against the wall and the again onto the floor. Rez coughed and puked from the pain.
He spit up blood only to realize more blood was there... He was in a pool of his own blood spitting and coughing it up to try not and drown in it. He began to struggle to get up with his one arm, leg, and stub of a other leg.
Devan ran over and slammed his fist into the man's back to keep him from standing. He laughed and pulled out his short sword, time to end it. This man was broken. He lifted the sword and brought it down fast and hard to decapitate Rez.
Rez was slammed back down into the ground again, more blood was coughed up from his mouth. The pain had finaly been enough, it clicked... He remembered. As the man's sword came down it was met by a blade Rez had summoned. Even with his renewed power the man overpowered him and he grunted as he struggled to keep his blade in position. His wounds began to seal shut. And his breathing started to become more normal as he remembered how to do this all.
Devan was taken back, moments ago he couldn't do anything. Now he could do it all? No matter his head would still be his. Devan took out his second blade and with both quickly outmatched Rez's one.
Rez was quickly losing this pushing war between his sword and the man's two. He used magic to errupt a chunk of earth under the mans feet and hopefully make him off balance enough to push him away from himself.
The attempt worked. Devan's footing was lost and the extra push from Rez sent him scrambling to the floor. He grunted in rage. Before he stood he threw one of the blades as hard as he could at the man.
His eyes widened as he saw the sword flying towards him at high speeds. The only thing he could do was deflect it. The deflection only knudged it off of its path enough to miss any important body part and stab him in the legs that was now only a thigh. He wasn't sure how much longer he could keep this up, given his circumstances.
