Xavier walked into the knight's tower, it had been quite some time since he had talked to Walter about being a knight. He sat down on the bottom floor seating area, he hoped maybe seeing him would jolt their memory. He wasn't upset they had forgotten to get around to him, with everything that had happened it was completely understandable. He just hoped he could get the yes or no over with and move on or start to help the town with a bit more authority.

Namari had come back to the knights tower, to pack up any remaining things in her office and to put them in the castle. Two guards waited outside for her, and she shook her head as she walked it. I am no child...

She then spotted someone on the ground, and raised an eyebrow. It was Xavier. After he had met him, Walter had mentioned to her that Xavier wished to become a knight. He also informed her Xavier was Enoch. She slowly approached the man.

"Hello there. You requested to become a knight a while back, yes? I apologize for not getting back to you soon enough," she spoke clearly, and as professionally as she could. As the queen, she had to get used to it. "There has been much going on at the moment, as you might be aware of."

Xavier nodded getting out of his seat, "Please there is no need to apologize, and no need to stress so much on talking how others would see correct, at least not to me. Please, you are the one, if there ever was one here, to speak how she wants." he bowed and then continued by answering the signs from the way she had walk toward him, "Does my history worry you?"

"Quite frankly it's why I want you," Namari smiled. "You are not a bad man. We fought together with Dadramora once, as Xavier, and looked for books in the school, as Enoch. The reason I want you to join us, is because you are a criminal. You know them. You can catch the ones that we need in jail."

"I must know, and, please be honest, because I assure you my decision will not change either way, but are you still involved with criminal activity?" Namari asked the man.

This was a tough question, in fact it was honestly a trick question, "Yes, I am involved with criminal activity, and so are you," he smiled joking a little bit showing the flaw in the question. In all seriousness he would answer untruthfully. If he was the only one involved he would have said the truth, but it was not just him so he would do what he thought was right and protect them. It was something he was perfect at however. One of his greatest skills was making anything sound truthful.

Namari raised an eyebrow, and chuckled. "How am I? And I ask, because I hope that maybe you can influence the criminals around you. As queen, I can do one of two things about the criminals in Avaleur. Try and destroy crime entirely, or, contain it as best as I can. I know that you can not destroy crime. It matters not if you are involved in crime or not right now, at least try and pretend you are. Try and keep the crimes low enough that it does not harm as many as it could."

"I want all major criminals in jail, though. Mass-murderers and such. Assassins are not a concern to me, and thieves are the least of the problems here. I hope I do not ask much of you. All I ask is that you try and help the people of Avaleur. Like a knight should."

Xavier nodded, "I can do that, and agree completely. Finally someone in charge with a good head on their shoulders." he smiled, "I only meant that being involved in crime has two sides, the enforcers and the participators."

He thought long and hard, "I will do my best to make sure all major crime is at a minimum. One man may be the key that unlocks the door to all of that, his name is Devan, have you heard of him?" he asked.

"No, no I have not," the woman shook her head. "Thank you very much for agreeing with me, though. So who is this Devan?"

"He was once a colleague of mine. He earned the reputation of, The Mutilator. I am sure your can imagine exactly why that is, half man and half giant make him a tough opponent. And the fact that he enjoys pain makes fighting him very awkward. When I was Enoch I was the inspiration for criminals, but now these actions that he does is a far, well a much better but worse inspiration." he sighed, they had been friends when he was in the Hydra. But knowing Devan all of what they had was lost.

"So he is a dangerous enemy to my plan of crime being low, then?" Namari frowned, giving a slight sigh. "My oh my...this does seem like a rather large problem. Not just his influence, but him himself. What do you suppose we do?"

"The only option is to find him and kill him, but." he sighed, he didn't want to flood her with information but is was for the best that she knew, "Have you heard of the Black Hydra?"

"A man by the name of Loren told me about them. I met him about a week ago, apparently he is the one who cut off my arm. He told me little about the Black Hydra. I assume Devan is a part of this group?" Namari's eyebrows furrowed. This was getting worse and worse.

He nodded slowly, Loren was here too?! He was not so much of a problem, just a master at poisoning. "Devan is one of the stronger ones, he would be a master in the group if he wasn't so insane, although some would argue his master is more insane than he is, but that is not the issue as of now." he sighed, where to start, where to start, "The members carry a coin on them," he reached into his pocket and pulled out one like it, it was gold, "the color tells a bit more about them. Bronze for a new member, silver for a student, and gold for masters and those who will be masters once either they need to replace their masters or they themselves get a student. Devan will be either silver or gold." What else to explain, "They are seemingly everywhere, until about two weeks ago they were even in the castle. There leader is unknown to me as the previous one is, well dead." he would rather not say it was him who killed him.

Namari nodded, scratching the back of her head and pacing. "What do you suppose we do about this group? Do you believe they will continue to pursue Avaleur's downfall?"

".... They kill gods, they aren't after Avaleur in a sense of it's people or it's castle. They are after her god, or to be more correct, her goddess. Avaleur is just a stepping stone, a gateway to their goal." He placed the coin back in his pocket, "They have been after her for a while now I am led to believe..."

"...they wish to kill Almora?" Namari half-mumbled, half-whispered. She stopped pacing. "I will not have it. I will call for my father's army if I must, but they will not harm Avaleur. They will not harm our goddess. She and the other gods and goddesses watch and protect us, now we must do the same. The Black Hydra shall not harm Avaleur. I will die before my city falls."

Xavier smiled, "Don't worry, they can't bring her down from the heavens with some sort of powerful stone or something of the like, and for a long time they have been unsuccessful in finding it."

He ran a hand trough his hair. "I will die along side you if it comes to that but I doubt it will. Do you have any questions I could answer about them? I don't know what Loren told you."

"Nothing that you haven't really answered, thank you," Namari frowned, and sighed, "Thank you very much Xavier, I must admit. We need more knights. And you'll be a very good asset to us, thank you."

Xavier smiled, "No thank you my queen, and did I forget to mention I am a bundle deal? Along with me you get Kagero, my wyvern."

Namari raised an eyebrow, then put out a large grin. "This is near perfect! Roland has Gabriel, a lion, you have a Wyvern, I have a dragon, and Walter has a demon side! We all have fighting companions then! I do hope your wyvern does not mind doing this as well."
