She sat in the front row, her eyes never leaving the statue. She had to come back again, so she could see this church and a few other places. She used to be such an innocent child...
It was then that she did something she hasnt done in a long time- well, smiling was also somehting she hadnt done in a long time... But Denzel recited the poem. The poem that she finally knew off by heart. She spoke out loud, in the empty church, her words gracefully echoing through the church like a song.
"When the war of the beasts bring the world's end
The goddess descends from the sky
Wings of light and dark spread afar
She guides us to bliss, her gift everlasting
Infinite in mystery is the gift of the Goddess
We seek it thus, and take to the sky
Ripples form on the water's surface
The wandering soul knows no rest.
There is no hate, only joy
For you are beloved by the goddess
Hero of the dawn, Healer of worlds
Dreams of the morrow hath the shattered soul
Pride is lost
Wings stripped away, the end is nigh
My friend, do you fly away now?
To a world that abhors you and I?
All that awaits you is a somber morrow
No matter where the winds may blow
My friend, your desire
Is the bringer of life, the gift of the goddess
Even if the morrow is barren of promises
Nothing shall forestall my return
My friend, the fates are cruel
There are no dreams, no honor remains
The arrow has left, the bow of the goddess
My soul, corrupted by vengeance
Hath endured torment, to find the end of the journey
In my own salvation
And your eternal slumber
Legend shall speak
Of sacrifice at world's end
The wind sails over the water's surface
Quietly, but surely
Even if the morrow is barren of promises
Nothing shall forestall my return
To become the dew that quenches the land
To spare the sands, the seas, the skies
I offer thee this silent sacrifice"
Denzel smiled finally, getting up and placing a blood red colored apple in front of the statue. This is something she used to do before bad things started happening. Now that she had finally left Avaleur, she began to feel a bit more happy. She started healing, and she regained control over herself and emotions. No more dark gloomy Devil tattoo on her hand. It faded a long while ago, probably because she regained herself and her sanity.
Still, she didnt know if she loved or hated walter. Denzel was in the wrong, too. The past is the past though, and denzel has learned to forget about the past. The past taught denzel alot. Like not to go crazy in a tournament and get yourself killed for someone who isnt even thankfull for you saving their sorry ass.
A small fox curled up in Denzel's lap as she sat down. but... then it transformed into a furret- then a cat- and now a fox again! Denzel laughed lightly. "Alkaid," she hugged the shapeshifting thing she called alkaid. "Dont fight sleep." The fox turned into a human...an infant with red hair. She smiled up at Denzel, putting her hand on denzels face. "I know love... We will go to where we are staying soon."
