Even at night, the petty city of Avaleur couldn't compare to the glorious kingdom Walter had left behind. When he had surfaced from under ground, from the demon city he once resided him, it had been day time. The sun blinded him for a while, before he finally got used to it. Walter changed into a human disguise, and walked into town.
The cool nights wind blew against Walters face. I must admit, that does feel nice. he smiled as he continued walking through the city. Looking around, he spotted a small path between two stores. Curiosity got the best of him, and he walked through.
The alley was cold and damp, creepy and unwelcoming. Reminds me of home... Walter smiled again, as he slid down the wall of the alley. Looking around the alley, he could see that one alley's path led to another, and another. It seemed there were shortcuts to every part of town, by the looks of it.
Steele (werewolf form) raced on all fours with a coin pouch in his jaws and a dagger at his waist. Night time was the perfect time for stealing and raiding. Not very many people would stand up against a werewolf and those that did didn't last long in the fight. This all added to Steele's sense of pride in himself. Alley's were the perfect get away spots and anyone who wandered down them was easy pickings. He stopped when he caught a scent of something very unfamiliar He'd never smelled anything like this before during his time in Avaleur. He could hear footsteps coming. He was now curious as to what it was. He slips into a dark part of the Alley to try and get in perfect position if he was going to raid another.
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."

Walter walked through the alleys, before hearing the sound of footsteps. He stopped, and looked around puzzled. He was not alarmed in the slightest, more curious than anything. His eyes cut through the black shadows like air, and he spotted a large figure.
"Excuse me, if you are attempting to hide, it is not working." Walter shrugged simply and smiled at the werewolf. He crossed his arms, and waited for a reply.
Oi Steele thought to himself, that plan sure failed. Folded his arms, this was a new face in Aveleur, and he was a sharp one. "Aye hinny, tis it ye be doing wandrin' around Alleys at night? Din't ye know there be raiders?" Steele smirked. He diidn't know for sure why, but he liked this person. There was an air of mystery about him.
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."

"I fear no raiders," Walter chuckled, "I don't think I fear much of anyone." He shrugged, smiling, "I suppose I'm here to explore. Where I live is very different from here."
"So, what are you doing out here then? Hopefully not causing too much trouble, my werewolf acquaintance." Walter chuckled again, noticing the bag of coin he held.
"Aye just a bit of high risk trading hinny." Steele laughed. He prowled on all fours in a cirlce. "Well waddya' call yerself hinny?" Steele usually did this to get a good observation of someone.
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."
"Steele." He said sitting down. "Canniest Steele on moss an' moor." He said smiling. This guy looked like he could hold his own in a fight and Steele respected that. "So what brings ye ti Avaleur hinny? I doubt it was fir thee sights. Er was it fir thee shows at thee arena?"
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."

"Ahh, this town has an arena also?" Walter smiled. "No...I came here to see the world outside my home kingdom. Besides, I feel I do not need to show off my strength to be strong."
"Are there any other places of interest other than the arena?" he asked. Walking through town, he could see it was quite bland.
"Aye well there is' thee castle at the edge of thee toon, thee dark marshes, and thee school. But I doubt ye need an education ifin ye made it this far." Steele says. Some people gave weird looks at the two as they pass by. "Oi nd' there's thee center of thee toon with thee giant fountain. Thee pride of thee city nd' blah blah blah, even i don't believe that gowkless scran." Noticing all the looks that were given Steele growls at a man, "Keep starin' nd' all make sure everyone has somethin' ti stare at!" The man gives a fearful look then hurries by.
"Aye, nd' thee people here are ridiculous." Steele says sighing.
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."

"This is all quite interesting to me! People seem a lot more friendly...though it is a tad bit bright out..." Walter squinted his eyes in the dark. His eyes were used to little to no light at all. The alleys at night were sadly the best it was going to get for him.
"I'm assuming you do not like it here?" Walter asked.

"Oh yes. Where I live, it is very dark, and my people and I see better in the dark." Walter nodded. "Why do you live here if you do not like it here, might I ask?"
"Aye thee pack moved here a few months ago." He sighs and realizes he was about to pour his guts out to someone he just met. "What di ye man yer people? Steele says cocking his eyebrow and changing the subject quickly.
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."

"What did I what my people?" Walter laughed emberassed. He was having a hard time keeping up with Steele's speech. Walter did note that Steele had not explained much about why he was staying in Avaleur.
"Aye sorry," Steele says, he still had a thick accent after all these weeks. "Thee pack i'm in relocated here in thee city in thee forest part a few months ago. Twas' just supposed ti' be a temporary spot since our last toon was takin' ova' by fangers. But I guess Balius decided ti' stay." Steele sighed and looked up at the moon. "We used ti have it all, thee Kraven name used ti put fear in people's eyes. We used ti be thee toughest pack anyone creature had ever seen, unbeatable but afta' are loss things changed. We lost a lot of brethren and were run out of toon. Now we're stuck in tis dump, anyone who travels through thee forest either gets raided, killed, er turned." Steele looks down angrily, losing a fight always made him boiling mad and this just brought back memories. "Ifin it were up to me i would take tis whole toon over nd' use it ti take back what's ours, but right now we need coins." He says pickpocketing a random person and growling to scare them off. "It all starts with thee coins fir armor, weapons, and ti build a castle right on top of thee forest hill. It's a long road but like our motto-" He says picking up a coin left on the ground. "It all starts with one." He says smiling. "Also twat i meant ti say was, where are ye from hinny?"
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."

"You all sound like interesting people," Walter stated, watching the people pass by.
"I'm from a demon city deep underground. It's called Cresthunt. Not many people on the surface know about it." he smiled. "Where did you used to live?"
Post by Walter Grace on Sept 21, 2011 18:18:14 GMT -5
"All of the residents of Cresthunt are demon. So, naturally, I am also a demon," Walter shrugged, and smiled. "I'm in a human disguise right now, to calm my temper and hide my real appearance."
