Even so early in the morning the room seemed more filled up than usual. The sun had not even come up yet, and the room was silent with quiet prayers. People would walk in, pray for five minutes, and walk out. Jordan just sat, staring at the statue of their goddess. As much as he believed all gods and goddesses to be real, this one was not Jordan's. The elements were. But there were no places to prayer to them, so Jordan settled with sitting in the church and paying his respects to the people.
Many had died, and suffered. But it at least seemed that those that chose to stay were a little bit closer. It settled Jordan's stomach because of it. But not much.
What would become of Myra and him? What if those people came back? He didn't want to loose her, it would hurt too much. He shut his eyes, leaning back on the bench and giving out a slight sigh. He sat at the back corner, where as most sat at the front. Near the statue.
Jordan only wished that this would pass soon, and Myra and himself could continue in peace. Unlikely, but it was all but a hope.
Hannah had waited quite some time to get into the church. With her wings being so large, she didn't want to brush them into anyone so she waited for no one to be entering or exiting through the doors.
I was her first time out of the castle since she had been put into the room, so much had happened, and she had slept at days at a time. Who knew falling to earth would take so much out of someone. The angel avoid the center isle so to not damage the flow of traffic. She instead took the far side and walked up to the front where she knelt down at the foot of the statue. She closed her eyes praying for guidance.
With her hand touching the base of the great statue, and her wings slightly tucked in, she entered into the state of prayer. Her body slowly faded, she could be seen still of course, only slightly faded to where you could see through her. She of course was unaware, connecting with her Lady on earth was a new experience.

Jordan continued to stare at the Goddess in wonder, when he took a quick glance at the woman in front of her. Angelic wings, spanning quite large. Thin frame from what he could see. But, what really caught his attention, was that her body seemed to be fading.
He opened his mouth to call out to her, but shut it quickly. It was so quiet in the room, he did not wish to disturb anyone by speaking to her from the very back of the room.
Fiddling with the rim of his tunic he looked slowly around at everyone, to find that no one seemed to be paying much attention to her. So as quietly as he could, he stood up and began walking towards the woman. He felt incredibly awkward, as he did not walk as quietly as hoped, and this woman was a stranger. But he was curious.
He reached near the foot of the statue, just behind the woman. He opened his mouth, closed it, then opened it once more. With a quiet sigh he bent down on one knee and muttered, "Uhm, hello. Are...are you alright..?"
A slur of visions... Blood rains from the sky as war rages. The dark sky consumes the sun and a horrifying scream pierces through the growing night...At the same time... A bright blue light radiates and the people around are only silhouettes. Hannah absorbs the light and is lifted up into the heavens. A stone fortress, a feeling of serenity was in the place...
Hannah could hear the faintest of voices that seemed to be calling to her. Lowly she came out of her connection with Almora. Was it a split vision? A show of two possibilities? She wasn't sure.
Hannah looked up to the man feeling quite drained. "Oh... H-hello, " she wasn't sure what he had said, "I-I am sorry sir.. What did you say?" She asked a bit embarrassed and out of breath.

Jordan furrowed his eyebrows, but shrugged it off. It was dead quiet in the room- how could she have not heard him? "I asked if you were alright..." he murmured, a little shocked. "You were...well, to put it bluntly, I could see through you."
Her face was a bit flushed at this point, being on earth significantly strained her spiritual energies.
"Oh yes, thank you sir. Are you a minister?" She wasn't sure what he was saying maybe he had gifts as well. Being able to see through her. She wondered what he saw.

"Ahh, no, I am not then," Jordan smiled, with a slight chuckle, getting what she meant. "I am a mere elemental, nothing more. But, I am pretty confused about how you became see-through."

He tilted his head ever so slightly, "My lady? I suppose you're a firm believer in this goddess, hmm?"
Jordan once more looked over the woman. A thought clicked in his head once his eyes landed on her wings once more. "Aha, you must be an angel," he smirked with a wink, not too sure himself. She could always just be some sort of avian creature- and he had never seen an angel, anyhow, so he thought he really could be wrong.
"Oh yes!" she nodded shakily. "Yes I am most certainly a believer tee hee." she giggled. "It would be difficult not to be when you sit next to her." she blushed feeling embarrassed and a bit ashamed that she had boasted quiet rudely about being a friend to a goddess.

Jordan raised an eyebrow for a moment, before nodding with a slight smile, "Makes perfect sense, I suppose." The man looked the statue of the goddess up and down, before asking, "So what's she like then? She might not be my own Goddess, but it'd still be cool to know a bit about her."
"O-oh yes she is splendid I tell you just a wonderful person to be around. She is so caring and kind, always trying to look over and protect people. It is truly quite inspiring."
Hannah slowly stood up straight, "She cares so much she sent me here to help... I think anyway," she shrugged, "I was sent here for some reason I know that much." She turned red, "The reason part is what I'm not so sure of."

Jordan thought for a moment before giving off a large grin, "Perhaps you are someones guardian angel! Or a being sent from the heavens to guide Avaleur through a time of pain and misery. Gods know we have a lot of that." The elemental stood with the woman, brushing himself off a bit before continuing, "Good to know the goddess of Avaleur is a good one then- deserves a nicer place to look over, though."
Hannah chuckled, "Only time will tell me what but those are both wonderful options." She smiled. Times had been hard for the people, the church was one of the busiest places in the city! Kids and grown ups alike woul come daily. Adults praying for their children and children praying for their parents. And their was always the sad sight of the orphans... Coming to pray for a next meal or a warm place for the night.
"It will be nice some day, some day soon I know it!" She beamed up cheerfully,

Jordan paused for a moment to think, before nodding. "Here's hoping you're right."
Jordan settled his hands in his pockets, looking around, thinking of something to say. Then a question popped into his head. "Not meaning to pry or anything, but I doubt an angel would have money if they just descended down, right? If you don't mind me asking, where are you staying? And how are you going to afford anything? I mean, in these times not as many people are so giving," he commented, looking around. These were hard times. It was hard to give these days.
"Well you see," she started in answering his question, "I turn into a ball of light and am hidden by all the stars at night and so I need not stay anywhere, for food I just need sunlight and to do good things." she held a tight grin and then burst into laughing.
"I am sorry I can't hold it any longer, hehehe, I was only joking with you don't worry. But wouldn't that be something?!" for some reason she felt very childish and at home around Jordan.. he sort of reminded him of her brother. "I am staying at the castle for now. I have nothing to buy anything with but that is alright with me, I am sort of the giver you see, I don't need to be getting. I pray for what I absolutely need and M'Lady does the rest in some way."

Jordan couldn't help but laugh while the angel laughed- the sad thing is he hardly knew anything about angels, so he probably would have believed her. "While you are here, though, do you not want to enjoy your time? You know...go to the bar, watch a performance at the theater, see a fight at the arena? Sure, you don't need money to have fun. But while you're here why restrict what you can do?" Jordan smiled.
"If you ever want to do any of that feel free to ask...I have quite a bit to spare. I run my own business. It doesn't bring in much, but it's enough for where I live, and taxes and such," as he spoke he thought about how joyful it would be to live off of the land, as he dreamed of. But it didn't seem too safe- he was a hunter, but that didn't mean he wanted to risk his backside every time he went to sleep. This made him think of the town in the woods- maybe he could live there? If, of course, anyone still resided there. And as long as Myra didn't mind.
"It's good that you have a place to live though- and as nice as the castle too! How'd you land that one?" Jordan grinned wide, crossing his arms.
Oh how Hannah dreaded conflict and combat and she really didn't like drinking, well she didn't like drunks is the thing. But the theatre did sound quite pleasant, "Thank you for the offer I will remember to keep that in mind." she smiled and nodded politely.
"As for my luck at the castle, the first person I seemed to meet after falling from the heavens was your own knight, Sir Walter, he was a lovely fellow and arranged it all for me." She hadn't really seen him since but that made perfect sense, with all that had happened and all.
