"Oh no please dot misunderstand, it is a good bow." He smiled, "Perfect for alot of standard game, it should suit you well for a good while. Just make sure to he arrows that compliment its style. So how do you fair in the application?" He asked before deciding to rephrase it, "How good are you at using it?"
"Im... not too bad." she hated to admit it, but she wasnt too good either. "Im kinda self taught. I dont know too much about archery, but apparently i have good aim." drawing an arrow, and resting it against the bow, she pulled back on the string, a feather was falling from the sky... Lillith released the arrow, pinning the feather to the tree. "Its not often that im actually that good. Its very rare actually."
Raymond watched, and he was really quite impressed. That was good! Granted she was saying it wasn't normal, but that just showed the potential was there. She had the makings of a great archer!
"yeah I would say that is pretty good aim." he said and smirked. "Can you do it on the run? While jumping? Upside-down? Can you shift into another species and do it? Is it harder when you do that?" Soon raymond realized he was bombarding her with questions again. "Oh, uh sorry. heh heh. I mean you really are pretty good, and if that isn't normal that just means you have potential."
"um..." She smiled nervously, hiding her shyness. "Its harder in run... no I cant while transforming, seeing as animals don't have thumbs really... Jumping- no. So...yes, its all very difficult to do those things.... and thanks, it means a lot" Lilith blushed, putting her hands behind her back while fiddling with the bow still. Technically, she was a bit fidgety. " I hope I can become better with my archery, I really do."
"You just need to continue to press your limits." Raymond stated, "that is why my cousin always told me. Only you are your limit, you set it and you reach it. You determine how great you will become."
Raymond stretched into the air and sighed, it wasn't a long day, in fact it was still early... But he felt tired. Oh! His bird! "O-oh hey! I wonder if my bird is still over there?!" He said excited and worriedly as he began to dash back to where it had been. Hoping it still was,
"Those are wise words..." Lilith silently said under her breath as Raymond darted off shouting about some bird. If he was lucky, it would still be kicking around, waiting for him to come back.
Shrugging, the fire haired girl casually followed the boy. Once they came to a stop, she looked up, a smile spreading across her face. "Its still here, don't worry. Looks like you made a good impression on it."
Raymond's face was beaming as he saw the bird still there on the ground, picking at the underneaths of its Inge ocassionaly.
The boy slowly crouched down and 'bear crawled' a little was as soft and quietly as he could before stretching his arm out to the bird. It was quite the hilarious sight.
He made a few clicking sounds. The bird looked as him for a moment before shaking its head and hopping over. It hopped right onto his wrist guard and the boy just about fist pulled te air before realize he had a bird on his arm. Slowly he stood up, with a proud smile on his face, he looked at Lilith.
She thinks for a moment, staring at the sky. "Hmmmm... Im not sure. But im So happy you found your bird! Its really up to you what you want to name it though. You could always name it something to remember this as the day we met." Looking back to Raymond, she smiled. what a day its been. She met a new friend, who she could learn so much from... and for once, she wasn't bullied, or called a freak. It felt good.
Raymond looked at the Falcon for a few moments thinking. "Yeah... You have no idea how long I have been trying get one to tame." He sighs in relief, his first step to becoming a great bird rider.
"But I couldn't really do it without you!" He smiled, "Thanks a lot!!!!"
Raymond looked back at the bird and finaly decided, "I think I'll name you... Obie." The young teen smiled, happy with the unique name. "And I'll always remember the day I met you and Lilith, the super cool, super nice shifting lady!"
"Your welcome. it was nothing, really...." Her smile saddened a bit. "Obie is a great name!" Lilith chuckled a bit at the last part. "Im not that awesome... and dude, im around your age. But it was great meeting you too!" Stepping back a bit, Lilith looked at the sky again. the day was far from over, but she didn't want to be a pest. "Um.... I should probably get going. need to kinda catch dinner and rebuild my shelter."
"Catch diner? Build a shelter?" Raymond asked slowly and curiously before standing up straight and placing his hands on hi hips, Obie flutter over an landed on his shoulder, "I happen to be great at that stuff!" He beamed.
"No truly I aided in building a village not too far from here, log cabins and such, a shelter shouldn't be too rough." He smiled feeling excited and anxious to help out Lilith.
Her hair changed from its usual orangey blond, to a dark red. " You would do that? for me? you don't have to..." she smiled sadly, reminding herself its not wise to get close to people. You never know when you migh accidently burn them... or an entire village.
"I don't really need something that big, but wont it still take awhile to build something like that?"
For a moment, all Raymond was was mesmerized by the change of her hair color, but he then snapped out of it.
"o-oh no, I can whip something up in a few hours. Let's see, out here most of the deadly night predators are on the land and few can climb so a tree topper would be best, especially since you are an archer." He smiled and nodded, he then remembered, he only brought his hatchet with him, not his axe... But I small tree topper for one woman, surely he wouldn't need to cut down anything too large, anything his hatchet wouldn't have a problem with. It would be work, but they could get it... Not string or nails or a hammer? Hmmm perhaps he should run back and get some tools.
"Uh... I should get some tools though, but if you wanted to scout out for a good tree to set the topper on while I'm gone that would be wonderful." He suggests.
Lilith nodded, blushing slightly. "Alright. But really, thanks. er... ill just be off looking for a tree then I guess." she smiled and began to scout out a tree. Would have to be the perfect tree. Not to tall, not too short... not to thick, nor thin. A nice strong tree though, too far from where everyone elses cabins are set out. So, Lilith transformed into a bird. just an average sparrow.
It took a while, but as she flew around, she found the perfect tree. It was a bit away from the little village type area, but it was overlooking. This way, if they ever REALLY needed an archer, they had one. The sun in the morning would shine beautifully into her new home, and she would be able to hopefully watch the sunset as well. Lilith would have to thank Raymond a thousand times for this.
