Play-By: Luke Goss
Name: Vidal Mulkraj
Age: 44
Gender: Male
Race: Demon/Shapeshifter Halfbreed
Location: Currently, wherever he's traveling
Guild: N/A
Class(es): Mage, Warrior
Appearance: Vidals's basic appearance tends to surprise just about anyone when they first set their eyes on him. He is, by all means, strange and fascinating to look at. His entire body is pale, as if like that of a corpse soaked in water for weeks and bleached by the sun. But his eyes are serpentine. A venomous yellow and possessing slitted pupils like those of a serpent. He has muscle mass, but not too much that would make him physically strong. He stands 6'3", towering over most others. His hair is long, white like his skin but with yellowed ends on the last couple inches.
His lips are dark grey and his face is quite bony and prominent. Though he often gives a serious look that could kill in a glance, Vidal's personality gives truth to 'not judging a book by its cover'. At least most of the time. His clothing is whatever he finds or receives or has on his person.
His shifted forms are various to what he can and will become, but his favorites are often what he believes to be in his bloodline. Either he will become half shifted with his lower half as a serpent with prominent horns on his head and black eyes. Or a humanoid king kobra. Mostly however, he prefers the form of a large and long, 12ft white kobra.
About: To start off with Vidal's personality, he's rather easy going and accepting of his life. He was born into slavery and trained or treated as how it was expected through his years. So he readily enjoys being owned and treated like a prized possession or used by whoever he seeks company from. He gets easily attached to women of course and would do just about anything for them. Being a rare creature the he is, Vidal rarely ever saw the angry side of people. However, when he did, he always turned the other cheek and took what was coming to him. He strives to please his anyone as much as possible and in return hopes to get a good pat on the head or a meal that will last him until the next week. He's a very low maintenance man that is well enough on his own but prefers to be at someone's side at all times.
He has his negative faults however. His main problem being that he gets angry, territorial and protective over someone he's with in the presence of other males alike. He tends to shift into a large creature and goes into a defensive stance that would scare the hell out of any human. But in his human form, he stands closer to someone in the event said enemy makes a move. It's a carnal instinct that he can't shake. And it's not easily quelled either unless said opposition is removed from his sight or if you have the power of influence to subdue Vidal's terrible trait for protecting a person that's powerful enough to take care of themselves.
Vidal likes knowing everything he can wrap his mind around and gossip helps him along with that. He has a tendency to put his head against walls and feel the conversation in the next room, being that he's so sensitive to vibrations and movement. He can't keep his nose out of others' business sometimes. He gossips himself, but only things that might make chaos come up for other people and exclude him completely. He doesn't mind a little chaos every now and again. After all, it keeps his mind from envying people or things that he wishes he had or wants. Overall, he likes to be a sneaky little bastard.
He is more like a serpent than most would take for granted. He loves to relax at someone's feet and finds his curiosity taking up most of his time. He's a loyal creature however. Though dangerous and mysterious at the same time. He has been used as a tool, as a toy, as a weapon, as an outlet for anger... and more. Still, however, he finds acceptance in being what he is and has had no taste of freedom of mind ever in his life. In which he still depends on someone to help him make choices. So to be safe, he shies and detests the idea of being so free-willed. For he knows he has no survival skills without the care of an owner to be there. He is more protective pet than willing servant. This, no one could ever change in him. Despite the fact he had been freed ten years ago.
The attraction he lusts after seems reserved mostly for those who take him in. However, there have been very few females he dared to court. Though unsuccessful, it just goes to show he is a ladies' man. He has been taught to be polite and cordial to others and is civil or generally casual around other classes that are higher than himself. With the exception of other reptilians, Vidal is indifferent but shows certain people a very high level of respect, attention and all those good things that people like to bask in when he's around.
Vidal is rather cunning. He knows he's a dangerous creature. However, he doesn't let his abilities get to his head. He stays as obedient as he can and only acts when told to. When by himself, he tries to avoid conflict. He doesn't back down unless told. To other slaves, owners or free citizens that pose a threat or carelessness, he is cold and silent.
Weaknesses/Fears: Despite what he is, Vidal does indeed have weaknesses. Including: Cold temperatures, women, being moody, selfish, impatient and trying to please anyone. Some of his fears are: Dying, causing death, being useless, getting in trouble.
Weapons/Magic: Vidal's magic revolves mostly around its use for fighting and protecting someone he bonds with. Though not used very often, he still knows quite a bit after having been taught years ago.
History: Vidal was the bastard child of a high demon and a lowlife shape shifter. Which led Vidal right into the life of slavery. He never knew anything of his mother or father. Even to this day, they're not even a spot in his mind. Growing up, being a slave was all he knew. And he was teased constantly for his awkward appearance, which is a sore spot for him. He had seen many owners through he life, some being more abusive or more caring than others.
Vidal was indifferent so long as he did what he was told, he knew he'd have a roof over his head and food in his stomach. He had gotten many scars over the years and never fought back no matter how much his demonic blood wished it. By the age of twenty, Vidal had been serving a young mage woman. A person he had cared about quite dearly. She was kind and taught him things. How to read and write. At least a little. And through spending more time with her, he learned things about himself. That he could shape shift and use magic. For him and her both, it was exciting.
He learned how to use basic spells for his own defense. Though he promised her that he would never use them for personal gain or to hurt anyone. which she believed fully. For fourteen years, Vidal was an extremely loyal and ever-faithful servant to her. All the while learning whatever she wanted to teach him. But the time eventually came when she herself felt Vidal shouldn't be a tool for someone to use as they pleased. Without thinking it through completely as how life would be for him, the mage woman gave Vidal a bag of currency, a scribe of papers proclaiming him a free man and shooed him out of her home.
Vidal was rather awestruck, for with no way of knowing how to survive on his own in the world outside of an owner's care, he felt he would surely starve or get himself killed. Since then, Vidal has no money, is able to find something to eat at least once a week(which is fine given he has the digestion of a reptile), and finds shelter where he can. As life had been for him is his earlier years, he finds people to get attached to, is used and then discarded over and over again. A drifter he is and always will be until he finds a place to call home once more.
