Name: Magnus
Race: Almorite. They are a very select few people (humans but with pointed ears) that believe they are chosen to protect the power of the goddess. The tribe is small and they lack any supernatural power in the physical sense. This is why their numbers have remained to be a handful throughout the time in which the goddess left her artifact of power for the people.
Gender: Male, although the Almorites tend to try and conceal their genders. It can however be obvious as many gender characteristics are hard to conceal.
Age: 22
Appearance:
Magnus stands 5 feet 9 inches and weighs about 145 pounds. He has the body of an acrobat and his strength consists of being able to hold his own body and manipulate it like a gymnast can for long periods of time. He has red eyes and blonde hair. He almost never takes off his disguise, pictured above, and has a few scars on his arms from training accidents. His eyes have a tiny glow to them and sometimes if the night is dark enough, they will give off a light bright enough to be seen. This is in extreme darkness though.
Description: Magnus is quiet and most often serious. There is a time for work and a time for fun. Fun however comes rarely. As quiet as the dark in the night and as hidden as the fly on the wall. He is quite selfless when he thinks you have the favor of the goddess Almora but if he does not think you are worthy then he is very cold. He tends to see all outlooks on a situation to try and find the right path so to speak. He hardly talks as this would give away his gender and is never seen out of his disguise. His number one and really only goal is to protect the gift of the goddess from the hands of evil. Sometimes he will do questionable things, maybe dark things, but they are all based on the fact that he believes it will protect the power of the goddess.
Weakness/Fears: Magnus relies on his speed, knowledge, and whit rather than his brute force which he does not have. He fears the evil that would spread across Guerre, and possibly the world, if the power of the goddess was obtained by an evil heart. He does not fear death, he has accepted the fact that this will happen, most likely at a young age like the rest of his tribe. Keeping peace has never and will never be free of cost.
Weapons/Magic: He uses his hands and feet to hit a various amount of places on his opponents body. The style of 'web' he makes does different things to the body. He also uses some smaller items like poison darts. His punches and kicks are rather weak but his speed hits you with enough of them that they can start to add up. He has other things he uses to escape and such (smoke booms, and such). He has a good conditioned strength, but not a power house strength. As for magic, he has a connection to certain things, can manipulate other's Nexius (similar to chakra, chi, pressure points, etc.), and can see things others cannot. His magic is by no means strong and he hopes to improve it as well as improve his fighting ability. Speed is one thing, but even the wind has speed. He wishes to also be like water, having the speed and the power to back it up. To be like a raging storm, that is his goal.
History: Magnus grew up in the tribe and learned the ways of his people like any other child in the tribe does. At age 15 he was chosen to be the tribes next Bleeding Eye (Basically the war chief). From then on his training was excelled and made much more difficult. This is also why his eyes were dyed red. A painful process that continues until you shed no more tears. Often the person going through the ritual is temporally blind. Magnus was in fact without sight for three days. Training continued as scheduled. The tribe's current war chief is still in good health, minus the fact that he no longer can go out and fight, so Magnus is seen as the war chief in the eyes of the few people the tribe has (About 19, most are children). He is still a little young to be war chief and still a little weak, but he is determined to get there. He feels like the eyes of his people, and Almora are watching, and the fate of the world his on his shoulders.
Since the time when the goddess Almora left the earth and ascended to the heavens, the Almorites have been around to protect the power she left behind. Always small in numbers, they were hunted by the evil ones to try and acquire her power. Eventually they won the war between the evil ones and built a kingdom. Instead of ruling this kingdom, they became the royal guardians and made sure the ruler was just and maintained a pure heart. Signs of the Almorites consist in many places and the years of peace soon made them seem to fade into the past. Now not much is told about them, maybe an occasional folk lore story of the past days or a bed time story to a small child. But their signs still remain, and they are still watching. Protecting...
