*Play-By: Gaspard Ulliel
*Name: Julien Laurant
*Nicknames: Jules, Jule, Juley
*Age: 17
*Gender: male
*Orientation: straight and virginal
*Race: vampire/shape shifter
*Location: now appearing in your nightmare...
*Guild: n/a
*Class(es): Thief / Mage / Hunter
*Magiks: Boogeyman's Apprentice Not your traditional elemental or spell casting, the boogie is ancient vampire illusion. They get you when you're sleeping or when you're guard is down. Boogeying makes the victim's worst nightmare appear to come true, the boogie can't cause physically harm but it is possible to be frightened to death. And the more you believe what you see is real the stronger the boogie becomes, so it is possible for the person influenced to feel it touching them. The vampire can psychically feed off the fear for a rush.
Good Boogie: After experimentation Julien found he didn't have to use his boogeyman skills for evil purpose, the good boogie brings the influenced one to a happy safe place of their design. Jules hasn't had much practice with his good boogie, so the illusion is easier to shatter and he can't feed off the influenced one either.
*Appearance: So far lacking the ability to take the form of animals, he is forever changing his physical looks. The first form he ever took is his fall back, a male blend of his two parents. He stands 6'3" with more muscle than his father's sinewy form. Hair colored chocolate brown, like his mother's, was usually kept shaggy past his ears, a soft waving texture. Eyes shine an unnatural blue, like uthe color of wet paint, they are large and heavily lashed. Julien's jaw is distinct, his smile always crooked, full lipped with sharper than normal teeth. His hands are exact copies of Micah's long narrow spider-like fingers, powerful wrists and double jointed digits. A beautiful lad, he dresses in different costumes every day: floppy hats with feathers, soldier regiment uniform, page tunics and leggings, even the black habit of a priest.
*About: Devoted above all else, the grown child who felt neglected by his father, treats the general population with distain or indifference. There are three exceptions: his mentor, his progeny, and his mother. He would lay down his life without hesitation for them, anyone who dares threaten will face a murderous wrath. Childish and scarred, his temper takes him over turning his vision red and doesn't stop until someone has suffered. Trying to balance his three closest companions has so far proven a hard task, guilt and the pushing desire to always do more haunt his step. With Veranda, his best friend since he was seven, he loosens up, becomes comical, jovial, but extremely protective and gentle. His feelings toward her are questionable, it has started to affect their relationship. When he's around Cori he can let out his inner monster: the release, the power, soaking in the elder's perfected tranquil indifference is beyond intoxicating. His mother can bring the wounded little boy to the surface and slowly sooth the old wounds. An accomplished thief, it's one of his favorite pastimes, whether picking someone's purse from their belt or pulling off a great heist. Murder is necessary to survive, so he treats each victim like a work of art.
*Weaknesses/Fears: No fear for himself, he only worries that pain will come to those he cares for, that he will not be able to right the wrongs he has done to each of them and ultimately losing one. Beheading, removal of his heart, starvation: any of these will end his life.
Weapons/Magic:Basic shape shifting skills including disguises, razor sharp claws and teeth. Vampiric speed, strength, reflexes and immortality. The boogie he has so far learned from Cor.
*History: Twins Sophia and Julien, were birthed to Micah (vampire) and Mari Laurant (shifter). The newlyweds are hunters, dedicated to their work and each other; the kids soon became rivals for the remaining attention. Their Mum treated both with equal care; Da favored Sophie's competitive nature, the eager effort she put into everything that brought her out on top. Jules's desperation to please Micah always backfired, the crushed boy would be dismissed from the daily lessons their Da gave. Age 7 he ran away for the first time. A hysteric breakdown was calmed by meeting a young Veranda Kingsford, who won his undying love by cleaning his jacket so he could escape punishment and a few pieces of candy. 3 years later a girl alone in the cemetery became his first solo kill, the brutal act attracted the interest of a powerful elder. Coriander: his father, brother, teacher, friend; the emotionless tones praising the kill and potential of the boy couldn't have been said to a more appreciative subject. The offer to learn ancient vampire secrets, to have the chance to surpass Soph and even his Da in power. From that moment on the child was his; dedicated, eager to learn anything the other wanted to pass on, an apt pupil awed by hero worship. Whether meant as a vengeful reward or a test of the boy's devotion or skills, 4 years later Julien was instructed to use illusion magic he called the boogie on his father. The result was a break on Micah's fragile hold to reality. The vampire began preaching in the streets about werewolves descending, starving himself to a skeletal state, trying to convince the human masses of the supernatural creatures among them, thwarting attempts of the guards and his family to restrain him. Emotions were useless, especially guilt, but a chance encounter with his mother filled him with remorse. Mari looked tired, anguished; she asks what happened to her family and he imagines she knows he is to blame. He promises to fix everything. Hunting the streets for Micah, he finds trouble instead. There were 5 individuals in the world he gave a damn for and 4 could take care of themselves. Fury, horror of what the attacker intended, disbelief that any would dare to make a victim of his Veranda. In a red haze Julien saw the villain massacred, the house demolished and the pieces set aflame. Like a bride he carried her home, showered her with gifts, fed her, anything to comfort her, to reassure he'd never let it happen again. When she asked for the change, he vowed to get her through the dangerous newborn phase: keep her well fed, help control the primal urges, even teach her the boogie. She asked him to never leave her, he swore without hesitation. The boogie takes her like anesthesia, his hollow teeth penetrate her neck, intoxicating blood fills him until he senses death creeping closer. Teeth slice the veins almost to the bone, he presses the wound to her mouth, there is a second of fear when nothing happens but then she drinks. His first progeny, unsure what is needed he lets her drain him to a drowsy state. Julien falls unconscious with his wrist still extended in offering, many hours. Waking up he knows two things: that he must feed soon and Veranda is gone. When he finds her the carnage shocks and awes, bodies are crumpled in the street, screams can be heard from within the pub, in the distance a horn sounds for the guardsmen, and there she is, his blood covered goddess, dropping another corpse to the floor. Their escape is a foggy memory clouded by adrenaline and fear, yet somehow he gets her to the safety of home and locks himself alongside her in Cori's coffin. When they wake the next day the ancient vampire has returned and though his face is blank Julien knows he is troubled. The flat voice implores Jules and his new fledgling to quickly pack, a boat was leaving port tonight and all three vampires would be aboard.

NPC: Micah Laurant
(Playby: Mathias Lauridsen)
Micah is Julien's father. He snuck on the ship to Avaleur after watching his son and Lachesis du Ponteloc board. When fed he is a beautiful creature standing 6'3" with a willowy frame, cherubic blonde waves of hair, a crooked smile and long spider-like fingers. Currently he has starved himself to near skeletal state, hasn't bathed anytime soon or changed his clothing. Though normally possessed of a wicked child-like nature mixed with a clockwork efficient way of getting things done, but since his son shattered his sanity he spends days preaching on street corners about the evils of the lycanthrope. Lachesis du Ponteloc and his brood hold particular fascination, Micah thinks it is his duty to keep the were under constant supervision.
