Play-By:Zooey Deschanel
*Name:Veranda Kingsford
*Age:19
*Gender:Female
*Race:Vampire
Location:N/A
Guild: Atroix
*Class(es):Thief, Assassin
*Appearance:Veranda is a slim, flexible girl of average height. She is pale skinned, her complexion free of blemishes, and feels soft. She has long and powerful legs, and her kick is possibly the most powerful of her physical attacks. They’re well sculpted from years of running.
She has lovely rounded hips, and size B cup breasts, which seem larger than they really are in contrast to her hard flat stomach. She never shows off these feminine features of hers unless they serve a purpose in her thievery, and she’ll mostly wear a simple pairs of pants or shorts and shirt. She stays as far from dresses as possible unless its required as a disguise.
Her eyes are brown, hair long and black, and easily managed. She can go days without combing it if she wanted and it’d still retain a silky smooth gloss. Most of the time she’ll tie it back if on a mission, or let it free if not. She never toys with it.
She is pretty, but never gives herself the credit of beauty. She can be strikingly beautiful when she puts in little effort. On the whole Veranda does not care for how she appears, nor care how you think she appears.
*About:Veranda is, in a word, a bitch. To most she comes off as cold, rude, and downright mean. She’s not afraid to insult, and not afraid to fight. She can be harsh and is tough. Most call her a hard nut to crack. She can be a nightmare when in a bad mood. She’ll shove the weak out of her way or stomp them out altogether. Most of the time she’ll humor you in a conversation, but never expect it to go anywhere with her. She isn’t the smartest girl, but she’s sly in her own way, and quick. She also can have an awful temper. She isn’t like this all the time though. Not if you’re one of the lucky few she likes. Veranda can be a kind and gentle soul if she tries, and pleasant to be around. She’ll show kindness in her own rough way. She may come off selfish but she really isn’t. She’ll share what she has simply because she knows what it is like to have nothing. She rarely loves, and when she does she puts her all into it. When you become her friend she’ll die fighting for you if she must. She’s an impatient girl, and she doesn’t understand the blatant stupidity of some people, though she will except foolishness and will even join in on the fun. Her personality changes greatly when drunk. She becomes more outgoing and nice, but don’t expect to get close to her that way, even if you take her to bed you might not ever see a speck of what is really in her heart. She guards it well and the only one she trusts enough to let in is Julien, the only man who has control of her heart, should he want it.
*Weaknesses/Fears:Veranda will always have a self-destructive love of alcohol. When she was a human she was a borderline alcoholic, and drank it enough to make her sick on too many occasions. She still retains many fears, even if she is stronger. She fears, above all, being alone for all time. She fears not having someone by her side and her wandering through her immortal life alone. Her second greatest fear would be someday seeing her father, no matter how small the chances are, she fears seeing him and seeing him looking back…and recognizing the girl he never wished to see again. Also beheading, holy items, starvation, or a stake in the heart can kill her.
Weapons/Magic:Veranda uses no magic, but she has a large assortment of knives on her person at all times. They can be embedded into her boots, hidden in her clothes, or anywhere. The only ones that are displayed in plain view are her two daggers on her hips and her sword on her back. The hundreds of others are hidden on her person. Never think she goes without at least one blade. She is also immortal, has the speed of a vampire, and strength.
History:Veranda was born into a family of nobility and wealth. She was the only daughter to her parents. Despite this she was not spoiled or treated as a favorite. Her father did not care for her much since she was a girl and not a boy. He often neglected her and hit her should she be near him when he was drunk. Her mother was no better. She was strict with the child, abused her daily, and scorned her because Veranda was far more beautiful that her mother. Her mother was vain, and despised any who looked better. Despite these hardships Veranda was generally happy. She’d play with the servant children on the acres of land her father owned. One day Veranda lifted her pretty skirts and helped a servant girl scrub the floors. Her father came in, drunk, and witnessed this, and for an unknown reason flew into a rage. He beat the girl senseless, and the violence led into rape. With that done he tossed the child out of the house. Veranda ran away from her home and parents, never seeing them again, and was on her own at the age of nine. She drifted around, learning skills essential for survival. How to steal, how to con, and how to fight using a blade.
One day she met a boy named Julien, who ran into her and dirtied his coat. She cleaned it for him and gave him some candy in order to cease his sobs, and became fast friends. Veranda became very close to Julien, loving his innocent side, and loving his dark, murderous side when he was taken under his mentor’s wing. Julien would leave town for long periods of time, training. And Veranda would steal and drink, alcohol quickly becoming a favorite for her.
One night a white haired demon found the girl, dragged her to a nearby house, and for the second time in her life Veranda was raped. Not long after the demon ran into her again, and attempted to harm her again, but this time Julien was nearby, and her best friend tore the demon to pieces. Julien took Veranda in then, caring for her until the moment she asked him to change her into a vampire. To rid herself of her helplessness forever. He agreed and did so, and after that painful process Veranda became hungry, and left Julien where he was, unconscious, and ventured into town. There a man attempted to grab her, for whatever reason of his own, and Veranda flew into a fit of rage and killed him, tearing him apart. She realized how easy it was to kill those who dared harm her, and she killed his friends who came to find him, and those who witnessed nearby. Her killing spree continued down the streets and into her favorite pub, where she was finally stopped by Julien. He took her from the town and back to his mentor’s house, where they stayed. The next day they were told to pack and leave, that they must leave the town and go someplace new.
