*Name: Simon Danvers
*Age: 15
*Gender: Male
*Race: Human
Location: The City of Hollow
Guild: The Knights (Squire)
*Class(es): Hunter, Archer, Warrior
*Appearance: A brown haired boy with hazel eyes, and a tiny scar on his left cheek. Due to wearing bulkier clothing he looks muscular, but in reality he is a rather thin person of average height. The beard on his chin never grows out longer than a few centimeters, and due to this he refuses to shave, so that he might have a longer beard someday.
*About: Simon pretends to be serious, and strong, and older then he is. In reality, he is a panicky, weak, and rather immature boy whom dreams of becoming a knight. Due to how he is, he rarely has any friends, which makes him unbelievably grateful for his dog Checkers. Simon hates reading, and does not believe practice makes perfect. In his mind, he shouldn't have to work for anything to earn it. Simon also does not like the cold, although he does like the look of snow.
*Weaknesses/Fears: Simon can barely handle himself- he is just not good at fighting, in any way. He thinks he is, but he is not. Is scared of deep water, due to not being able to swim.
Weapons/Magic: Owns a short sword, and a dagger, along with a longbow. Can only do very simple spells, such as tiny flames to start fires.
History: Simon was never one for the cold- living in Hollow, that was all he knew, and yet he yearned for more. For Warmth. He hated being outdoors- inside, fires brewed, and it made him more relaxed. From the age of five he knew that he did not want to continue living in Hollow. But his parents would not permit him to leave, due to him still being a child.
Growing up, he did not have many friends. He would stay indoors, and not socialize with others. When he did, the other people did not seem to like him. After all, he was always in over his head.
For years his parents felt sorry for him as other children began not to bother with him. He pretended like it did not bug him, but it did, if only just a little.
He gained a glimmer of hope one day, when he had just turned twelve. News spread to Hollow about Avaleur. Simon was never interested in the City, due to its lack of authority, and seemingly endless battles with Paineston. But what struck Simon, was the fact that Avaleur had begun a group of Knights. All kingdoms had Knights, Simon knew. But what struck him was his chances of getting in- after all he belonged to a more wealthy family. Not one of the best in Hollow, but a good amount. Not to mention this was a new group- they would be needing members after all. Simon begged, and pleaded with his parents, but to no avail. They would not let him leave. This frustrated him- but he knew that his parents only wanted the best for him. So, he accepted their decision.
On his fourteenth birthday, he received the best gift he had ever received. The night of his birthday, his father walked into the house, carrying a bundle in his hands. With a big grin his father said happy birthday, and revealed what was in the wrapped up blanket. A puppy. Simon was ecstatic- he forgot about his friend troubles, or the fact that he could not be a knight. He was just happy that he had gotten a new friend.
Checkers and Simon became inseparable. Simon trained Checkers hard, and got rather good results. The pup was nowhere near perfectly trained, but it was for the most part obedient.
Often though, Checkers would be disobedient, getting Simon into trouble. Tipping over vases, trying to kill the neighbors cat. And Simon was always blamed for it. Usually, he did not mind. After all, his dog was his best friend, and was only enjoying himself. Other times Simon would be forced to sit down and groan at what trouble his dog had just gotten him into.
A week before his fifteenth birthday, Simon had heard a rumor going around. That Avaleur was planning on becoming a kingdom again, and that Hollow would be one of the places that would be asked to join them. Simon knew there would be many perks for the people of both parties, and he truly beileved that the city elders would say yes to Avaleur's proposition.
Simon was shaking with joy, as he realized that it might be his chance to become a knight.
On his birthday, he walked up to his parents and told them, "I want nothing more on my birthday than to become a Knight of Avaleur, and a Knight of our Kingdom when the time comes." He was still shaking when his parents looked at each other with eyebrows raised. Simon's father, saying nothing, removed a piece of paper from the table beside him and handed it to Simon. He was told to read it. And so he did, nearly jumping for joy. It was a request for Simon Danvers to join the Knights as a Squire, and be taught how to be a Knight. It was addressed to the Queen and her hand.
That night, he packed his bags, and took the envelope that his father put the note in. With Checkers at his side, he called on a carriage to take him to Avaleur, where his journey would begin.
Pets: Owns a black and white border collie named Checkers.
