Logan slowly allowed his golden brown eyes to open, pupils constricting rapidly into slits against the bright light of the sun that assaulted his gaze. He could smell the stench of the unwashed masses as they milled through the centre of the town. He could feel the warmth of the sun beating on his pale skin, roughened and aged from a life of monster hunting. He could hear the soft calming noise of the fountain behind him, and feel the smooth stone that made its edge up under one hand. He could also hear the banter of the folk passing through the area.
As both a warning and a sign he still wore the medallion around his neck, so the medallion itself rested obviously over where the belts holding his blades in place crossed. His blades were securely strapped to his back, and his leather jerkin and trousers while mud splattered from his journey and obviously old and well worn in fitted him. As did the mud caked boots he’d walked the distance in. By his side resting on his leg was the comforting weight of his travellers pack and he was reminded again he would need to find a safe location to leave that before he truly set about his task.
This only reminded him of his need to start networking. No matter how much he disliked it he needed to find people and get a network of people he could at least trust. People he could meditate in their abodes and know he was safe from attack. Due to his wandering lifestyle he saw no point in keeping property himself. It would likely become a den of bandits and thieves and then he would have to clear them out any time he wanted to reside there. No it was better to make use of others property.
Of course he was also aware finding anything like a notice board, or even talking to people and finding the worries that plagued them. Not that he enjoyed the latter. Slowly he allowed his golden eyes to drift over the people, hunting for that spark, anything. Anything to give him his required knowledge. A quiet exhaled breath escaped barely parted lips as he continued his steady scanning, almost as if patiently waiting for someone. Just he didn’t know who.
