Vazer'eth watched from the edge of the island in the middle of the lake, bemused, as two fishermen kept guessing why the water was acting so strange. She had isolated a small part of the lake, about one foot in width and three inches deep extending all the way to the mainland's shoreline and just stopped the water from moving. They poked it and splashed it, swearing and refusing to step even one toe into the lake. One of them finally gave up trying to understand and grabbed his pole. He was apparently going to try and catch some more inland fish. She chuckled and slipped into the water. She dissipated into the isolated part of the lake and shot straight for where the fishermen were. When she was only a few feet away from the shoreline, she stopped and sent a small jettison of water up into the air. The fishermen stopped what they were doing and stared at where the water had seemingly jumped straight into the air.
"W-who's there?" one asked nervously, holding onto something wrapped around his neck. She laughed to herself, then started using her unique ability. She separated the water on the top of the lake into molecules and condensed them simultaneously, making a light mist form. She hurried the process along, making the mist as thick as a heavy fog and just as blinding. She used the water from the lake to do so, and made sure that the mist only surrounded herself and the two men. "What the hell," one of them exclaimed. The second fisherman coughed from the density of the mist, still holding onto whatever was wrapped around his neck.
"We gotta run for it!" the second man said. He turned and went to run, but managed to trip over his own fishing pole and fall flat on his face. "Dammit!" He hollered. Vazer'eth finally made a sound that the two men could hear as she openly chuckled to herself over his clumsiness. She formed the top half of herself out of the lake, leaving her legs in the water and then dispersed the top half of her body into the dense mist.
"You're going to leave me already? But you just got here!" She protested to the two men. They spun around wildly, trying to find the source of the voice. But the mist was too thick to even really see two feet in front of them. "I don't think you should go anywhere fellas. I mean, don't even know where the other is, let alone which way is out." she teased. Just to mess with the two men even more, she made her face solidify into water right in front of the first man with a flirtatious smile on her lips. She only formed it for a second, dispersing it back into mist almost immediately.
"Almora save us, it's the Seducer! Don't listen to her voice, she just wants us to feed her evil pets!" The man said, dropping down and fumbling along the ground for something. Vazer'eth openly laughed at what he said, imagining herself crying tears of laughter if she was in her normal form. Her laughter came from all sides of the mist, making the men look around frantically.
"I just wanna be friends, guys. I don't wanna hurt you at all!" She said through giggles. It didn't come across like that from the way she said it, even she had to admit that. But it was true. The first man stopped fumbling for whatever object and then stood. In his hands he had a very blunt ax.
"Get away, demon! I'm not afraid to kill you!" he exclaimed. Vazer'eth stifled another laugh and then started to solidify the top half of her body, while simultaneously dissipating her lower half. She brought it through the mist and connected her two halves directly behind the first man. She didn't make a single sound as she did so, and the man stayed oblivious to her presence even though she was only a couple feet behind him.
She laid a hand on his shoulder, soaking the cloth shirt he was wearing instantly. He turned and forced the ax down on her shoulder as hard as he could, only to be met with shock as the ax passed harmlessly through her entire body and dug itself into the ground. "Oops." she said with a smile as she started to regain her appearance. "You know, my elemental race is unique in that it's members can actually keep their appearance when they become an element if they choose." she said randomly. The man fell backwards, his mouth gaping in shock at Vazer'eth. "That's why I like being a water elemental. I don't look like a cluster fuck of big rocks when I wanna have some fun." she said, sticking her lip out to mimic pouting. She didn't do that much in reality; pouting, that is. She smiled and laughed a bit, then allowed the mist to finally start to go away. It took a few seconds, but the men could finally see and breathe normally again even if the air was now really thick moisture wise. The men both got up and ran for their lives back to their homes, leaving every piece of their fishing gear on the shoreline.
"Geez, can't take a bit of a joke huh?" she whispered to herself. She sighed, then solidified back into her normal form. She felt a small lump form in her throat. "I just wanna have some fun..." she said as she sulked back to the lake and sat down when she was a foot or so into the water. Small fish swam past her feet, drawn to the purity of her elemental form that she was in not too long ago. She wished she had the Aquaspeak ability, like some of the people back in her old home did. They were insane, but talking to fish made it look kinda normal to her now. "Just some friendly fun is all..."
