Toracrio sat on the ground with his back against the fountain edge. A old grey book was in his hands that had obvious wear and tear from age. Closing it, he looked up from the book. His topaz eyes scanned his surroundings behind the round glasses. While he did grow up in Avaleur, he didn't really know everything there was here. Although, the reason for this was due to what he was and mainly the fact that he was too hesitant even after getting the bracelets to go out and explore.
Now that he was older and he knew just how much of his 'curse' that the bracelets magic held back. He was a bit more confident. Besides, he knew some magic of his own to use to protect himself to help prevent his 'curse' from showing; even though what of his 'curse' did show was rather weak compared to the real thing. With that in mind...what did the real thing look like? Oh well, that was a mystery he wouldn't solve and he was fine with that. His wooden staff lay on the ground next to him.

Elle walked along her way, her hips having a seductive sway as she passed a group of men. They all took the time to appreciate her beauty before carrying on with their tasks. Elle gave a giggle and carried on. She was in a pretty good mood. She had just visited her twin brother, giving him a few supplies he’d need so he would have to venture forth from his beloved shop to retrieve them. When she had entered the shop and gave Aerin food and some things for his shop, she was surprised to see a small smile on his face as he ground some sort of dried weed into powder.
“What are you so cheerful about?” She had asked. Aerin turned his clouded gaze in her direction, pausing.
“I made a friend the other day. Well maybe two. The fellow who…walked me home was rather interesting. He had some interesting ideas. But I think I may have made a friend with another. She seems very kind and she actually has a dragon! Isn’t that exciting?” He had said, resuming his grinding. Elle had paused, wide-eyed, and a slow grin crossed her face.
“She? As in a woman? Oh Aerin, it’s about time you found someone!” She had said. Aerin blinked and continued to deny that there was any attraction between him and the woman whose name he refused to give. But the fact that Aerin met a girl at all had Elle on cloud nine.
Now, as she was returning home from her brother’s shop (which was also his home), she paused, nearing the fountain. Sitting in front of it was a man with a book in his lap. He appeared to be reading it, but that didn’t last long as he closed it and gazed around at his surroundings. The first thing to strike Elle was the fact that he was completely and totally gorgeous. That hair! Those eyes! Elle tilted her head, eyes scanning the man’s lean frame. A bit skinny for her taste but it wasn’t like Elle was the picky type, much to her brother’s despair. And she hadn’t really met any men here who was quite brave enough to go for her. She wondered if all the men in this city knew how easy it was to get her into bed how fast they’d line up. She giggled at the thought and decided to mark the man before her.
She walked up to him and sat down on the fountain next to him, crossing her long legs, which were almost completely bare for him to see, save for the very short shorts she wore and the knee high boots. Her arms were, for once, covered with longer, more flowing sleeves than what she usually wore. Her cleavage was still on display though. She’d never cover that up. Not until the weather got cold enough to give them frostbite anyways.
“Hi there.” She said cheerfully, leaning on one arm. “So, what are you reading? Interesting place to try to read.”

Toracrio honestly didn't expect this. When he was done looking around, a voice came to his ears. Turning his gaze to the owner of the voice, he was surprised further. Since when did a young lady ever talk to him? Never. Hardly anyone talked to him although considering he hardly ever went to people and started conversations, then yeah. That would explain it.

Elle couldn’t help but wonder if the man was shy or just didn’t socialize much. Such a short answer. Most men would try to babble to keep her around longer or simply couldn’t speak at all. It depended on how hard she tried to play them. Oh well, she’d keep pushing. Maybe she’d get something out of this handsome devil, maybe not. She could deal with rejection, though it didn’t happen often. She swung her legs a bit, hoping to show them off better by the flexing of the well toned muscles.
“Spells huh? So you do magic? So do I! What kinds do you dabble in?” She asked, leaning forward a bit, as if to read the cover, but it was really to give the man a better view of her cleavage. It would be interesting to meet another magic user. She hadn’t really met one since that shifter in the woods. The one with the scary squirrel monster as a pet. She couldn’t count Vaz, since the girl was a water elemental and her abilities were inherited. It’d be like counting Elle as a magic user because of her blonde hair. Speaking of, she gave the silky, golden locks a flip, getting it back over her shoulders. Most men liked longer hair. She didn’t really understand why, wince they never bothered to explain. She wondered if they even knew themselves.

"I know a few spells, I've so far only learned a few random spells. They really don't have a category to be placed in." Toracrio answered.
Why was she so close? He didn't understand it but since he hadn't interacted with a woman other than his adoptive mother; real mother to his knowledge since they haven't told him the truth. So, he had no idea what most men would consider a grand opportunity. His gaze was focused on Luella's face so...he didn't see anything else.

Elle watched his gaze, noting that it was fixed on her face and no where else. No blushing as she leaned in closer. No strutting, what she called it when men tried to act more manly to impress her, either. Either this man had absolutely no sex drive towards her or he was the ultimate gentleman. Like she couldn’t be ore obvious. Hell there were a few men walking past them and they were eying her up and down. One even shot the red headed male a bit of an envious look, since he was getting a pretty elf girl’s attention.
“Just random stuff? So are you new to magic or trying to learn everything?” She asked, sitting back. She wouldn’t plaster her breasts in his face forever. It didn’t seem to be doing much. Maybe he was an ass man. He then presented her with an opportunity to stand, thus showing off her lovely curves.
“I do fire and water magic. I’m not an expert or anything but I enjoy it.” She said, standing up, walking a few feet from the man, being sure to roll her hips with each strut, and she turned. With a neat flick of her wrist some water from the water fountain separated itself from the bulk of the flowing water and flowed through the air to Elle. She smiled as it all collected into a floating orb of water, the size of a fist.
“Doesn’t seem like much but this little orb of water can give a guy a black eye.” She said, lifting her hand and there was a spark before a ball of flames bloomed an inch above her palm. She set the fire under the floating water and soon steam began to rise as the water evaporated. “And I think it is clear what fire could do to a person if you know how to use it.” She added, smiling towards Toracrio.

That would sum Toracrio up in this situation. He didn't have a sex drive plus he did do his best to be a gentleman. However one could say he was a dunce and this was the first woman he had interacted with that wasn't his 'mother'. He nodded his head.
"I have recently started but the spells I've learned don't really have a class to be put in, in terms of magic." Toracrio answered.
He did watch her move away from her originally spot but you could say he wasn't watching on she was walking. Yep, a dunce with this thing everyone can say it. Dunce. He didn't doubt that the small orb of water could blacken an eye, magic was strong and even stronger depending on the person commanding it. Same went with fire. Although, he didn't quite see why she had smiled at him. Setting the book down on the fountain ledge, he picked up the staff he had with him, and stood up.
"Strong elements to command through magic, it takes great skill to learn those." Toracrio answered. "Here, I can show you what I've learned so far."
Granted, his spells wouldn't be anything like Elle's were and since she showed him two of her's, he'd show her two as well. Holding his staff in front of him, he closed his eyes as he stood there. In a few seconds, he disappeared and reappeared on top of the fountain statue. Looking down at Elle, he waved to her before repeating the process and reappearing in front of her.
"That's one thing." Toracrio said as he released the staff, only to reveal it still standing up.
However it didn't take much longer for the staff to rise up in the air and fly around for a few moments. Only to go back to where Toracrio was sitting and land on the ground there.
"That's two. Teleportation and levitation of objects." he added.

Elle gave a little wave as the man mentioned it took skill to command fire and water. She acted a tad embarrassed, though she was no such thing. It was very hard to embarrass Luella. It took a lot of trying or the right touch to make her feel embarrassment.
“Oh I’m no master. I just dabble.” She said, telling the truth. She used magic as a side tool rather than depending entirely on it. It came in handy a lot, but sometimes she’d be in a tough situation and completely forget she had magic abilities. She relied on her hands a lot more.
Elle waited as Toracrio closed his eyes. She gasped as he sudden vanished, only to reappear on the fountain. She gave a delighted little laugh. Teleportation! She had never seen it in person, and it was amazing to see! She wondered if she should give it a try then decided not to. It’d probably help to teleport when hunting, just appearing next to an animal and killing it, but that took no skill. It was more rewarding to go out and kill your prey with your chosen weapon and whatever hunting skills you mastered.
The elf was less excited about the levitation, since she saw Aerin do it all the time, but she still gave the man a little applause once he finished showing her what he could do.
“That’s amazing! Especially the teleportation spell! I never saw anyone do that before. You blew my mind.” She said. She wondered if Aerin ever heard of the spell, then realized it was a dumb question. Aerin knew of every type of magic out there probably. He didn’t practice, but he was aware.

"I've still got a lot to learn. I have another thing I can do but....I'm not that good at it and it has backfired on me before." Toracrio said.
It was the thought transfer one that he needed more work on. It was a tricky spell to switch thoughts with another or showing them your thoughts. It was similar to telepathy in his opinion but he didn't know telepathy so he couldn't really make a comparison to it.

“Well practice makes perfect, as my brother says. You’ll get the hang of whatever it is. But you still are pretty amazing.” Elle said, giving the demon a pretty smile, her most charming. Good God she was smiling, showing off various parts of herself, both physical and skills, and yet the man wasn’t responding. She wondered if he was gay. No man could be this oblivious to a woman could he? Regardless it was about to become his loss.

"Yeah...true...well that means you'll become a far greater in skill." Toracrio answered. "After all, I've really only started out a few months ago. There's a lot left for me to learn."
Toracrio gave a kind smile back to her. He wasn't guy, just a oblivious dunce when it came to girls. He never spent time with them growing up, mainly he was kept at his 'parents' home due to his 'curse'. Plus he doubted that anyone would like him that way.

“Well, yes there is. But you seem to be doing a lot better than I did when I was a few months into training. Maybe it’s a man thing. Aerin, my brother, he took to magic really fast too. He could do all kinds of stuff in a month and I was still trying to create a big enough fireball to inflict more damage than just a black scuff on some stone.” Elle said, encouraging the man. He clearly seemed to have potential, not that Luella was a good judge of that or anything. He just seemed naturally talented.
The smile he returned was also nice, a bit encouraging, but Elle decided to disregard her approach to him now. He didn’t respond much to her, so he was obviously not interested. He was either into men, or just not into her. Most guys at least expressed interest in her body if not her as a person, but even that didn’t seem to draw his attention. It was very odd not to have the attentions of a man. Aside from her twin of course.

"Spent my whole time at home in books...guess if you read about it enough...it sort of helps." Toracrio said. "I'm honestly still surprised that I could manage magic. Never thought I could do it."
Post by Luella Vaettir on Nov 15, 2013 19:50:50 GMT -5
Elle stood by a moment, fingers to her lips as she thought about what the man said. After a moment she shrugged.
“I don’t know if reading about it really helps. Maybe for you it did. My brother didn’t start up magic till after his accident, when he went blind, so he learned through practice. He mostly read fantasy stories in his spare time before that.” She said. It was strange to think that Aerin once read what he’d now call foolish books. He’d study during the day, and stay up late at night reading books about witches and princes and dragons. All of which existed of course, but the stories were different somehow.

"Sorry to hear about your brother, must've been a horrible thing to go through." Toracrio said.
Toracrio didn't know what it would be like to go through something like that. Not just the blind becoming blind part, but what kind of effect that would have on those around him. Sadly the only ones around him were his 'parents'. If something happened to them, it would really affect him.

“It was pretty rough. I can’t imagine how hard it really was for him. One day he was a boy running around playing, the next he gets hit by a carriage, goes into a coma, and then wakes up blind and lame.” She said softly. She remembered that day all too clearly. She just wanted to go to town, part in an attempt to play, and part for defying their parents. She hadn’t even been looking when she stepped into the road. You’d think a big black carriage with two massive and equally black horses made enough noise to catch her attention, but not young Luella. She was so oblivious. Aerin had shoved her out of the road and taken the blow.
“But even though he can’t really walk well or can’t see, he’s still an amazing person. And he is actually pretty quick to pick up all kinds of magic, but he mostly uses his summoning. If you ever need any advice you could always ask him. He owns a potions shop not far from here.” She said, brushing some golden hair from her face.

"At least he survived, that's the good thing." Toracrio said.
He never knew what it was like to have a sibling. He only had his 'parents' and he treasured them. Losing them would mean his whole world would be gone. There's be nothing left.
"If I can find the shop, I might some day." Toracrio said with a smile, trying to lighten the mood.
Post by Luella Vaettir on Nov 19, 2013 17:30:11 GMT -5
Elle smiled back at the man. “Yes, that is true.” She said, nodding. She was glad that her brother survived. It would have been too much if she had lost him. She stretched, enjoying the air. “You should drop by his place. It’d be interesting for you. Anyways, I’ve got to go.” She said, brushing hair from her face again. “Nice to meet you though. I’d like to see more of you. Drop by my brother’s shop to say hi. I’ll probably be there. “ She said, beaming at him.
Post by Toracrio Vertiga on Nov 20, 2013 13:12:52 GMT -5
Why did she want to see him again? Toracrio didn't think he was interesting or good looking. So it had him confused as to why someone would want to see him.
"If I can find the shop sometime, I'll drop in." Toracrio said giving a kind smile back.

“Fantastic! Enjoy your reading.” Elle said, giving a wave and she turned, walking off. She still had a few errands to run after all. And maybe she made a friend. That was always good. She was sure Aerin would have a smile inside once she told him about her botched attempt to sleep with the guy, but maybe he’d be interested about a fellow magic user entering his shop or something. Especially one seeking advice.
