Elle pushed the door open to the pub, looking around. The sight of men and women drinking, whether in joy or sorrow was dependent upon the person, the smells of alcohol and food that was probably not that great, the sounds of laughter and chatting, it was the perfect place for a girl like her! The elf smiled and stepped inside, drawing the attentions of many. It was no wonder really. With her long, beautiful hair, bright blue eyes, stunning figure, which was clothed in tight pants, high boots, and an equally tight cotton shirt, who wouldn’t look at such a beauty? On her back was her bow, unstrung for the night, and a quiver of arrows, nicely restocked. She had just spent the day hunting down game. Lots of it. She killed what she could, saved what meat she wanted, and sold the rest. After bathing in her nice little cottage by the woods, she came further into the city, dropped off some food at Aerin’s, and now here she was. Ready for a night of drinking and fun. And if she brought a man home to that nice little cottage by the woods? All the better!
She walked over to the counter, a bit of a skip in her stride, and she sat down upon the stool, both stools next to her empty. She leaned forward, digging money out of her coin purse. She pulled a few coins, tapped them on the bar to summon the barkeeper, and gave him a bright smile as he approached.
“Some of your finest drink please.” She said. He gave her an odd look and she sighed. “Alright how about some honey mead to start with?” She said, and he gave a nod. He turned to fetch her the drink, and she turned to face the rest of the pub. It wasn’t too bad. Nicely lit, good atmosphere, cheery folks. She could make this place a regular haunt if she wanted. She just might. There were many good looking men in the place. She smiled, thinking about how much her brother would disapprove. Oh well! She only had this one life to live.
The barkeeper came back, setting a large mug onto the counter. She dropped the coins into his extended hand. He looked at the amount before giving her a questioning glance.
“No change needed. I plan to have more.” Elle said, getting another nod from the man before he walked off to serve others. Elle took a deep drink from her mug and settled back, sighing in content. Life was good!
