With every step Steele went more and more limp. He'd lost too much blood. His skin was pale. He chuckled weakly. "Ye....lucky....dog." Steele's legs give out from underneath of him and he collapses.
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."

Phillis managed to keep his balance as he grabbed Steele quickly before he hit the ground. He set him down gently, his heart was racing as he had been caught be surprise. "You okay?"
Kavanah who was flying just above the ground, tucks his wings back and places his feet on the ground. He sprints over to the two people. One has fallen....
'Come on! Don't be too late!' he thinks to himself.
He ran up and realized it was Phillis, and it looked like Steele, but he couldn't recognize him because of his injuries. "Hey!" he notices how wounded Steele truely is, "Phillis what has happened?!"

So this mutilated body was Steele, he hung his head for a second in thought.
"I could try to fly him to the infirmary," he proposed, lighting spiderwebbed through the sky and the thunder was heard right after. "It would be risky in this storm."

"Well, we ought to do something that isn't risky. We need to be cautious." Phillis sighed. " I don't know what to do, I'm kind of useless in these situations."
"I can't believe I'm going to do this," Kavanah pulls out the dagger at his hip.
'I can't believe I'm going to use what killed my sister.' he thinks.
He uses the dagger to cut into his left wrist. At first blood gush out, but then the blood is drained into the blade and the wound heals up. The writing on Kavanah's body glows a bright purple. He touches the blades point onto Steele's wrist and he regains some color.
"We have a little more time," Kavanah explains, the magic made him slightly weaker, but he estimated he could do it two more times. He re-sheathed the dagger. "Let's hurry along now!"

"Yes, I'll take his right shoulder you get his left, we will carry him to the infirmory. Let's hope the storm calms a little, but don't count on it." Kavanah looks into the sky after picking up Steele's right half. "Do you know which way?!" he asks.

Phillis picked up the left half of Steele gently, as told. " I'm not positive where the infirmary is, but I know town is north." He said, pointing in front of them.
He liked Phillis, he hadn't tried to pry into his business or ask him why he could use such dark magic. "so what where you out in the storm for anyways?" The rain was still coming down hard, the ground was becoming like a thick mush in some places.

"Well, I suppose I was feeling sort of gloomy today and it seemed like the right weather to walk in when you're in a foul mood. If that makes any sense. And I just wondered along here and that's when I found Steele." Phillis explained. "And you? What're you doing out here?"
The rain was still not letting up and it soaked into their cloths making them very heavy. the rain softened the ground and each step was a struggle to get their foot out of the mud.
"Ha, he seems to be getting heavier by the moment."

Phillis nodded. He was surprised he had managed to keep up for so long. "You're pretty strong." he said to Kavanah. "How much longer do you think it'll take us?"
