Stacy paced around the forest, humming quietly. She had heard what happened at the tournament, and was even glad that Enoch- erm, Lord Dosise, did not make it to the final round. She would not like to see him carried out on a stretcher.
She sighed in relief, sad still to hear that a girl had died. It was sad, but Stacy reminded herself that she probably did not fear her death, as Stacy did not fear her own.
Stacy climbed up a tree and sat down on the branch, holding onto the trunk of the tree and staring out across the forest. It was broad daylight, the sun shined in her face, and she was fairly happy.
Rio walked throughout the forest, she smiled as she spotted a tree, it seemed to be the perfect spot. She climbed up the tree quickly, swinging on its branches. She felt more alive now, she had not won the competition, but she had never been in such an epic battle either.
She spotted Stacy and laughed. "oops, didn't see ya there." She said, flipping onto the branch beside her.
(( I don't remember if they've met yet, so imma pretend they have : D ))
"Oh, it's alright! Didn't bother me any!" she laughed, brushing her hair behind her ears. "I was just enjoying the view. So how have you been? I heard you had entered the tournament, how did you do?"
"Much better than some of those kids in those last rounds, I suppose." Rio said, a bit of a smirk on her face. "A real pity one of them died though. Did ya hear about that?"
"I did hear about it, though I didnt know her...I wish I did, though, because she seemed nice from afar! Not to mention my cousin used to be friends with her, so she HAD to have been nice!" Stacy grinned.
"Oh, no, my cousin died a while ago. His name was Dante Skai, he actually died saving that girl, Denzel's life I heard. It's a bit ironic in that sense!" Stacy giggled.
"Apparently! Its a bit upsetting, but at the same time it seems like the people are used to it by now! Hey, at least we now have a king," Stacy smiled, thinking that she was friends with the king. Even if he did not remember him.
"Yeah, I guess so but he's some kid with amnesia, ain't he? Ain't gonna get too far with someone like that." Rio sat back more relaxed. " I guess a little something is better than nothing though."
"Of course!" Stacy grinned again. "Even though he has amnesia, the doctors say he will get it back. Even now, I've seen him. He seems fit to lead our city."
" That should be a relief then." Rio grinned. "You know, this town is pretty interesting. Some weird people among you. After I finished my round in the tournament, I couldn't even stay in the infirmary, I had to keep coming back to watch more. Interesting fighting styles out there, gave me a few new ideas. "
Rio nodded. " I never particularly cared for other races till I got here. In heaven just about everyone is the same. Gets boring. The scenario ain't so bad here either, something to look at for sure."
"What else is heaven like?" Stacy smiled. "I mean, I know what hell looks like, Walter told me about his home, but I dont know anything about heaven! Is it made up of different kingdoms as well?"
Rio thought a moment. " Something like that. It's split up, different groups. Men and woman and children are mostly separated and everything is bright and white, exactly what you think it would be. There are times when everyone comes together, but it is mostly to pray and help guide humans on earth, you know, guardian angels and all that crap. It's total bullshit." She explained with a laugh.
Raising an eyebrow, Stacy shrugged, laughing along side the angel. "I wonder what side my soul will choose when I die...I suppose I would probably choose to rest forever, instead of become a demon or angel."
"Wise decision." Rio said, smiling. " I wonder if I'll get a choice. If I do, I'd just like to remain resting. Angels and demons are just both too predictable."
Rio laughed. "Only if they are turned mortal. Well, I'm not sure if it's the same for demons. But if an angel dies, they are reborn as an angel. If they are turned mortal then they are treated mortal, even after death."
