Welcome to Avaleur, a medieval fantasy roleplay site where anything is a possibility. Face bandits, or knights. Work your way up to become part of Avaleur's castle, or try your luck at being a thief. Own a shop, be a guild master, start a family. The possibilities are endless.
Ryn walked around the Center of Town. Things were a bit happier in the town now that there was some form of leadership, but Ryn had a little delimma. Ryn missed a huge opportunity for his clan, he didn't know anything about Phillis, the king. He needed to earn some clout within the city and FAST, it wouldn't be long before some of the other members in his clan begin to question how long he would be gone. Ryn thought a lot about moving his clan to the city of Avaleur. It seemed very nice here, much better than the war zone known as Tetra. But he wasn't sure how the public would react to Crux moving in to town. He pondered this sitting at the fountain of Avaleur. He also wanted to teach at the school, it seemed like there had been a lack of experienced teachers in this town.
Roland walked through town. He was relaxing here because when he tried relaxing outside of town he always seemed to run into some sort of beast. He thought about maybe making a shop were he could sell and take up marks but that would have to wait. He had his hands full with Gabreil.
Ryn sighed pondering on what to do. That was when he noticed Roland. A smile came on Ryn's face, he sure was glad that Roland's arm had healed up. He teleports right in front of Roland. "Hey Roland." He greets.
(lol The Crux just don't get that popping up in front of people freaks them out.)
Roland was startled from the entrance this time. "God Ryn, will you ever just walk up to me?!" he laughed holding his chest. "How have you been holding up?"
"Pretty well, still a little sore from the tournament but nothing a few sparring matches won't solve." He jokes putting his guard up to imitate a fight. "I am looking for one thing though. Do you know who I can talk to about getting a job here in the town? Is there like a test I need to take to be a citizen or something?" He asks. "Oh and I'm glad to see your arm is healed up. How come I didn't see you at the tournament?"
"I uh," he laughed, "I brought a great axe to train with and ended up fighting a fast opponent." he shook his head, "Bad choice....oh well. I'm not sure where to go. I'll search with you though."
"Same here, with barely any rest after the first match I could barely even move the next day." He chuckled. "Hey we can try asking the new king." He suggests. "Plus I hear they have a training field there. How's a sparring session sound?" He asks Roland again forgetting that human's don't fight as much as the Crux do.
Ryn laughed. "Are you sure having a pet lion is entirely safe?" He asked continuing the journey to the newly built castle. The center of town seemed to be bustling with people.
"I'm sure that it isn't entirely safe, but then again what in this world is?" he laughed. They approached the castle and he got a little nervous, he hadn't been inside yet. "Have you been to the castle before?"
Ryn gulped. "No I thought you have." He says looking at Roland. Just standing outside of the gates was intimidating, what was it going to be like talking to King Von Christ!? "Do you know anything about the King? Besides he got amnesia."
"I actually don't know him well...." Roland admitted.
A guard, more like a doctor, came up to them with a stern face. 'Hey! You guys can't see the king today. He is recovering from an injury and resting. Please be on your way.' he waited for them to leave.
"Uh... Ok then." Roland was a little shocked by his shoo shoo go away attitude.
Ryn's ears went down. "Well there goes my day." He says. "If he is recovering from an injury than it probably would be best to let him rest. I heard a former king got bilious cholera and died." He says, his tail started to sway. "Well hey, want to head to the arena then?" He asks.
"Uh..Clan stuff." He says. "I need to relocate my clan, and Avaleur seems like the best place to do it, but there could be a problem with discrimination and everything."
"Oh that makes sense. Do you mean your clan discriminating against us or the other way around?" Roland asked. He didn't quite understand, in Tetra the people welcomed the Crux however rare their visits may have been.
"The other way around. As you probably already know, Crux aren't the most outgoing and social beings among others. Plus we kind've fight, A LOT. Not out of anger but for the sport of it. People could start to misunderstand us."
