Scarcely praying

[Phillis Von Christ]

Phillis approached the old church. At first glance it was obvious that the place was very old, but rather well constructed considering.

He had assumed that poor people didn't have churches, but the more he thought about it the more it made sense for them to have one. After all, if they don't believe in money, they should believe in something.

He smirked, walking to the entrance. It seemed so...dead. He gently opened the door, entering the building.

The inside was beautiful, magnificent. Phillis couldn't help but to be in awe. The murals on the windows were bright but very much impressive. He had to admit, this place was beginning to feel more like home with each place he visited.

[Denzel Kumori]

Denzel looked at the building from a distance, a bit hesitant. "admire, but dont touch..." she eminded herself as she walked through the door.

She looked around also in awe. her mother had told her about this place, while her father made this place forbidden for her. Its beautiful. She never even noticed that she wasnt alone.

Phillis took notice to the girl who had entered the building. Oh, so people do use this place.

He coughed gently, so that she would realize she wasn't alone.

[Denzel Kumori]

she jumped slightly. "ah sorry! i didnt see you there. ill just- uh... be leaving now. Im not really supposed to be here anyways." denzel s[eaks in her own defence as she back away slowly.

[Phillis Von Christ]

Phillis cocked an eyebrow. "Why shouldn't you be here? Isn't this.. a holy place that anyone can visit or something?"

[Denzel Kumori]

"my...my father wound go batty if he found out i was here... no pun intended. Im Part vampire and part Winged elf. Such an un-holy creature should not be here." she scratched the back of her head.
" i really do think its pretty here though."

[Phillis Von Christ]

"It is a very pretty place." Phillis said agreeing.

"And you can stay here, your father won't find out since there's never anyone here."

[Denzel Kumori]

"thanks." Denzel sat on one of the wooden benches, staring at the roof. " im Denzel. Denzel Kumori."

[Phillis Von Christ]

Phillis sat across from her. "I'm Phillis. Just Phillis." He said, a smirk on his face. "This place is rather charming. Is this your first time here?"

[Denzel Kumori]

"yeah... i thought id check it out since i was in town anyways." she nods her head in agreement. "yes. it is rather charming here. and Nice to meet you JUST phillis" she grinned.

[Phillis Von Christ]

Phillis chuckled slightly. " Oh dear, seems I'm in the presence of someone rather witty."

He looked to the front of the church. "So, are you from here or did you come from another town?"

[Denzel Kumori]

"well, i live up in the mountains with my parents...but im planning on moving into town so that i can be closser to school and everything. but ill be on my own, and ill have to run my own shop in order to be able to keep up with paying bills and everything. what about you?"

[Phillis Von Christ]

"Hmm." Phillis sighed, with only slight interest. "I lived fairly far away. Now I'm here." He said simply.

[Denzel Kumori]

she bit her lip and narrowed her eyes. "so, your a human. i dont think ive met a egular human around here."

'how the hell do i keep his interest?!'

[Phillis Von Christ]

Phillis nodded. "One hundred percent human. I've only seen a few other humans around."

[Denzel Kumori]

she kept silent this time. silence was always golden.

[Phillis Von Christ]

Phillis stood up, walking to the front of the church.

"Have you ever prayed before?" He asked, as he turned to face her.

[Denzel Kumori]

"hmm..nope. My Mother has though. My father has always been against me going to churches and praying. I think it would be interesting though." she looked at him with her blue eyes.

[Phillis Von Christ]

"It's very peaceful to pray. Very quiet, gives you time to think.. and hope." Phillis said, his voice trailing off. "You should try."

[Denzel Kumori]

" i should... but i dont know how. I dont even know what would happen if a Vampire tries to pray. Im not a human." there was a sadness in her voice as she stood up, walking towards him.
