The boy threw his bag over his shoulder. He nodded a thanks to the captain of the boat, before walking off. Jordan had just arrived in Avaleur from Hialo, his old home from a fair ways away. The wind was chilly, but Jordan took no note of it. He was covered in clothing from head to toe, only his face and hair showing. The boy had blue hair, and icy blue eyes. His expression was blank, and he seemed to shy away from the people around him. As he walked off of the dock, and onto the beach, his mouth hung open slightly as he stared up at Avaleur. It was certainly bigger than what the people at court said it was. Though, he had heard it was also growing in size rapidly by the day.
Jordan looked around, watching the people. He found the area odd already, looking to see people busily working the day. He leaned up against some cargo, watching. The day was going to be busy; he might as well relax for a small bit.
Kavanah flew down and landed on the docks. As a knight of Avaleur he was often checking areas to make sure they were safe. He hadn't ran into any trouble since the cave ghosts, but he knew trouble could arise at anytime. His wings hid away into his back and he looked around for signs of anything. The wind was chilly, almost enough to make him think about investing in a jacket. He laughed, it was nothing like the mountain air he had been made familiar with.
He noticed a boy seeming to exclude himself. He was mostly covered up, unlike many of the others. Probalbly a newcomer nothing to worry about, but he had to check anyway. Slowly he approached the boy. "Hello there, just arrive today did you?"

Jordan turned to face the man. He nodded slowly, looking the man up and down. Jordan found it odd, in the first five minutes of him being there someone was already talking to him.
The boy didn't seem like a talker. But that made sense, if he did just arrive it was probably strange to him that already some approached and engaged in a conversation. "Did you come by yourself?" he asked.
Kavanah turned and studied the boat, "Hialo, I'm not familiar with it." the boy was definitely shy, but he didn't think he was up to no good. That was a good sign. He folded his arms, "Are you familiar with Avaleur?" he asked trying to be helpful.
He smiled back chuckling a little, perhaps he was getting threw to the boy. "My name is Kavanah, by the way. I am a knight of Avaleur. Don't worry if you are uncomfortable giving me your name I understand." he paused for a moment taking in the cold sea air.

Jordan stood a bit straighter, beginning to search through his bag. He found what he was looking for, and handed it to Kavanah. It was a small card stating that his name was Jordan, his age, the fact that he was a noble. An ID card of some sorts.
(( BTW I'm Namari as well, keep that in mind : D ))
"Oh, welcome Jordan. I hope you find your stay to be pleasant. If you need anything at all the other knights and I will be happy to help." he says as he hands the card back. He was reassured by the ID that he wasn't here to harm.
((I figured but why should I keep it in mind? Lol))

(( So that you don't rage that some random person on the site wont even let their characters talk XDD ))
Jordan placed the card back in his bag. He made a thumbs up again, and smiled. Jordan looked at the city, spotting the castle. He was puzzled. The court said Avaleur held no king...
Jordan pointed to the castle with a puzzled expression, and shrugged.
The fact that Jordan wouldn't talk was a little humorous, but to not offend him he didn't laugh. "The castle? It's fairly new, the old one was too.... Dangerous, although I argued it would have been better to restore it. The king, Phillis, was decided in a recent tournament. I hope that is what you were asking."

Jordan nodded his head rapidly, smiling happily. It seemed that he was actually able to communicate without speaking, as he would hope. He folded his arms, thinking about anything else he would want to ask. There wasnt many questions he could think of, sadly, so he pointed to Kavanah and shrugged. He would want to know about the man being nice to him, after all.
"Well I'm not sure how much there is to say." he continued to fold his arms and tilted his head pondering what to and not to say. "Well I'll start out by explaining what I am. I was once an angel, but because of getting and being cured of a powerful dark curse that was going to turn me into a demon," he held up his arm, "Now I am neither angel nor demon but... Well, I suppose both. I came from a tribe of angels in the floating mountains, betraying them is what got me the curse. Don't worry I'm not a betrayer any longer." he took a deep breath before continuing, "I suppose that's all, now I became a knight to try and do the right things."

Jordan clapped, amused. He found Kavanah very interesting. He wondered what other kinds of people he would find in Avaleur. Jordan began looking around again, pointing towards the city again. He shrugged. He wondered what places were there. Though, he knew his pointing probably wouldnt help Kavanah know what his question was.
Kavanah looked in the direction of the point. Was it at town? He wasn't sure. He frowned not knowing exactly what to say. "Would you like me to show you around town?" he guessed.
Kavanah laughed momentarily, "Don't forget your bag, and keep it close when we go through the marketplace." he waited for Jordan to gather everything before he started into town.
