Sanaki's face grew serious "People have been accusing you in a string of murders, they could be talking about someone else but there has been talk; or maybe i'm hearing things wrong." Sanaki looked away trying to remeber.
"'Legends'? do you really wish to be remembered as a ruthless, cold, and heartless killer?" he asked perhaps he should take down this guy before he killed again? no it was useless to do that now.
Devan moved his hands to his hips, closer to his second sword. He wanted to be prepared just in case. "Yes." he stated as if it wasn't a big deal. "Something like that anyway."
"i see......but consider this: 'if one man kills another man and then that man is killed for being a killer fighting will never stop.' is that what you desire? to keep fighting for the rest of your life? to be hated and sought after by those filled revenge in their hearts?" Sanaki asked looking away once in a while.
Devan laughed and shook his head volienly. "Yes, exactly. And thereby spreading it into the hearts and minds of others." he calmed down and starred at Sanaki, "But thats not all. You couldn't understand. You see it's not that simple, there are always reasons behind the killings."
"so you wish to spread hatred and revenge throughout the land?" he asked pacing in back and forth "also I am highly aware of reason behind killings, I've committed well over 100 of those" he added staring at his hands "i have quite the bloody past as I'm sure you do" he stated looking at him.
"So, you're saying that killings have a diffrent motive then whats shown." he replied thinking over his answer, Sanaki ran over everything that had been said, done, and reasons for them to become what they did in his life right up to the point he was at now. "i may know what you mean by deeper meaning, but then again i may not; that depends on your view on things." he answered.
Sanaki wasn't to sure if understanding the man was a good thing but he cast the thought aside "Indeed but most people don't see those meanings, how surprising a 'criminal' that can hold a civil conversation" he chuckled as he picked up his rapier that he dropped so carelessly in the scuffle.
Devan picked up his short sword but left the chains and sickles, he had plenty more at his hideout.
"What is civil?" he asked raising an eyebrow as his to challenge the existence of the word, "Perhaps what most people view as civil is just a well crafted illusion, that what is seen as civil truly is not."
"You have a point there" Sanaki agreed while tossing his rapier up into the air then catching it, "however people cling to ideas that benifit them most; so i must ask if the current civil isn't your civil then what is?" he quized "as for me i think civil is two things something we have and something we'll never have." he added and finally sheathed his weapon.
"Civil is something similar to freedom. The ability to obey only the laws that man has in his being. What he feels is right, it will, I believe, one day be a clear and universal feeling. So yes I believe one day killing will no longer be nessicary. But that's why I will not exist in this new era... I am one of the people who help us get there."
Sanaki was surprised at the mans thoughts on the subject "Oh? and how do you plan to help humanity reach this new era of freedom? Also killing will be everywhere no matter what you do people kill for fun, money, and pleasure it will never truly stop. Don't think you can change the world by your self my friend; it takes one man to change the world but it takes a hundred to change the world forever." Sanaki lectured the man he knew what the man was getting at but not everything changed on a whim.
Devan chuckled, "I am quite aware of this, that is why I am not one man. We are many, but I cannot explain this to you. Let's just say that my thoughts are not completely my own, but a collective thought made by us." He couldn't explain to Sanaki about the Hydra, at least not as Enoch. In truth he had already talked too much. "I must go now, I didn't want to kill you... but... If you follow me I will have no choice. Don't be foolish." Devan began to walk away toward his hideout.
Sanaki thought about what the man had said and deducted 3 possibilities: A) he had multiple personalities B) he was in some organization or C) the man he just and a 'civil' conversation with was insane he waved it away and ran up next to Enoch.
"Well you can't kill me if i walk next to you since that's not following" he laughed "anyway i kidding" he added as he spun around on his heel and began to walk away; "If you ever need something I'm sure you can find me, but if it involves killing innocents I'll kill you instead!" he called out.
Devan sighed as he heard Sanaki's footsteps. But after he said what he said, it turned into a chuckle, "No I suppose you found a loophole. And don't worry, I don't include others in my work." he said as the man left.
"Alright then so i may or may not see you around then" he replied, he thought about using the loophole to see where he would go but he doubted the man would have the patience for it.
Devan walked to the nearest corner and turned, he waited for a moment to see if Sanaki had followed. He hadn't, now it was time to see if he could spread the word. He chuckled.
