Goria stroked his dragon, Miyol, gruffly. He was looking down on the land, deciding on where to make his castle when this land was his. He was too busy now to really do anything, but the progress towards opening the portal to allow the Fiin to march in was halfway complete. "So Miyol, do you still loathe me for what I made that fook Harding do? Dragoons, such lowly creatures. I'm glad that they're gone, the pesky bastards. Aren't many dragons left here either it seems. Almost as many as on Iriolde, but these ones are more, how should I put it, savage. Less intelligent, but more instictive. They wish to be left alone, save the few idiots that try and kill people." Goria sniggered as Miyol shifted uncomfortably underneath his hand. "Oh, so much to kill, so much time to do it with."
Kavanah had been out getting some air. This was the first time flying, actually more like soaring not just flying, since his incident at the ruins with the bone dragon. He closed his eyes feeling the cool air brush his face, there wasn't much better than this. He felt free and relaxed, it helped him think really.
He landed in the mountain towards it's peak. The view was astonishing, you could see Avaleur, both old and new castles. As well as the town. That was his home know, he told himself. And what a great home it was. He decided as he looked towards it that he would reach out, not be such a loner and start making more friends. Afterall he was really only comrades with most of them.
Miyol growled loudly. Goria awakened from his quick nap, and detected a faint power not so far from here. "It's nothing Miyol. Would you like me to scare him away?" Goria looked east, towards a different mountain that was slightly lower than the one he was on. He pointed a finger at the peak, and unleashed a very small orb of energy magic. It was only a centimeter in diameter, but it would do the trick. He launched it towards the mountain, and a few seconds later the entire western side of the mountain exploded, sending a cascade of rock and debris into the air and down the mountain. "Hopefully he wasn't stupid enough to stay after that."
Kavanah noticed the tiny orb whiz through the air at high speeds.... Evidently someone didn't like his presence. A landslide began but for someone who could fly it wasn't much bother, he flew down the side of the mountain making sure no one was in the destructive path of the landslide. After seeing no one, he swooped up and ascended to the point at which the orb had struck the mountain side. He felt the energy trail and followed it with his eyes threw the sky...... Some sort of dragon and other was on the taller mountain next to him, the question was, did he know he was there or was this destruction just training of some sorts.
"Oh ho ho, he's alive? That's a big surprise." Goria said. "Come Miyol, let's go greet this strange creature." He hopped onto Miyol, nothing big. He was only about twenty feet to his shoulder, but he didn't feel like flying today. Miyol jumped off the mountaintop, shattering the rock beneath his feet. He summoned a greatsword in his hand, easily six feet long and six inches thick. It was light by his standards, but even an elf would have trouble wielding it. "Let us see how strong he is." they quickly got to the strange bird man. The sight reminded him of dragoons, and he quickly filled with an inner hatred that he didn't let come across his features.
Kavanah watched as the dragon rider flew toward him. He wasn't sure whether to be worried or not, in truth being smaller he could out maneuver the dragon if he needed to escape.
Silence fell between the two as the rider hovered before Kavanah, he expected him to talk first, being the one to approach. Although the dragon looked tired and worn down, it's appearance still had the elegance that dragons tended to have. "You have quite the dragon there, raise it yourself?"
Goria chuckled at the strange man. He looked like a giant hummingbird to him. "No, he's just... Subdued, I guess you'd say. Little bird man, I'm giving you one chance to escape. And this is it, your last chance. Unless you wish to aid me in taking over this pathetic excuse for a kingdom, that is." Goria lept off of Miyol, then cast a simple levitation spell to keep him afloat. He pointed his sword at the bird man, then gathered a small ball of energy at the tip. "Your move birdy."
"Birdy?" Kavanah raised an eyebrow. This man had obviously not even a shred of intelligence. Probably relied on brute force to get what he wanted. Kavanah didn't want trouble but he was curious. "Wait, you want me to leave? Why? Is it because I am here? If so does it matter where I go? I will still be here."
"You have the wings of a bird, you can go wherever you want. Albeit, a strange bird. And keep your thoughts to yourself, you think so loud. I am far smarter that you realize. Now, leave these mountains or die."
If what'cha see is what'cha get, why can't ya judge a book by its cover?
((haha it's ok I'd be luring if I said I had never done the same))
"My thoughts should be loud shouldn't they? It means that you are confident in yourself. And it's easy to tell that your perspective of strength has been clouded." Kavanah flapped his wings slightly and he gently lifted off the ground. "But I will leave you, to whatever it was you were doing." he didn't want to leave but he would much rather not have to fight after just recovering, seemed to be a habit of his.
Goria smiled as the birdman retreated back to wherever it was that he had come from, then went back to his mountain. Miyol was still injured from his run-in with another dragon, whom he hadn't managed to kill. "Now, where to put that castle..."
