Xeon walked through the stoned paths in the castle garden. He had brought a letter from Paineston. It was comical really, he had managed to stay on the council of advisors for Winston. It was no doubt because there was no way of connecting him to the others in the Hydra. He was the one in the group who remained hidden in the open. In Paineston he was a favored political figure, loved by most.
He had had a nice relationship with the Von Christ family. Even taking Phillis to some plays as a child, seeing him as a king all grown up would tug at his heart a bit, but it wouldn't change the fact that he was meant for a bigger purpose. He was the new leader of the Hydra, but that would remain untold. Just as the ruins could not tell of why the attack had truly happened.
Xeon held the envelope and rubbed his thumb over the seal. He hadn't tampered with it, not this time. It was too risky when precautions were already being taken. He had only to deliver the letter now......But he decided he would enjoy himself in the garden a bit longer. Let Phillis sweat a bit

Phillis walked into the castle garden. He had heard Xeon was there and had something for him. He really didn't feel like going to see him, but he was itching to finally get out of his usual boring work. He quickly spotted the man and waved.
" Hello, I had heard you were here. I expect it's for an important reason?"
Xeon turned slowly and smiled pleasantly at Phillis. "In truth I did want to visit, but yes business brought me here." he walked up to the man, "Beatiful garden. It's better kept here than in Paineston. But you did always see those things better than your brother." he patted him on the shoulder. "Look at you! I can hardly believe my eyes."

"I do suppose Winston was always a bit of a slob." Phillis said with a laugh. At least Xeon was full of compliment, Phillis couldn't complain about that. "Indeed, look at me. Much different now, hm? It's been quite some time, after all."
He chuckled, "Yes, yes it has. Not that same little boy." he shook his head remembering the old times. "Well anyways, I brought you this." he held out the envelope, "Straight from your brothers hands."

Phillis was surprised. " My goodness, he's certainly sending these much faster now." he said, taking the envelope. It used to take Winston weeks to respond, and here was a letter, only days after Phillis had sent one to him. "Is that all?"
Xeon took note of that... There had been others. "Yes well things have gotten easier now that the ruckus is over. Can you believe all that?! And you think you know someone. To think a sat right next to someone that vile and corrupted." he shook his head in disgust.
He looked at him puzzled, "You hadn't heard of the betraying advisors? I assumed that's what these letters were about. I will explain, but please tell me what you do know already, if anything at all." he said concerned.

"Well, I briefly discussed it with Winston. I knew some of their people had attacked our people, but I'm not quite sure what had been going on with them recently."
With a grave face Xeon sat down on one of the benches, after brushing it off of course. "Let me add the details then." he sighed closing his eyes and recalling the events. "You see evidently almost all the advisors that your brother put his trust in we're using him. Ever Cornelius, it actually turned out that he was the head of this criminal gang of thugs that he had sound shady things and using Paineston as their protection. Well as you may remember each councilman has a page if you will. Most being assassins. So many people have been sent to jail for treason, but one seemed to have gone missing...." he paused for a moment, "Corneluis's page it seems has yet to be found. A dangerous thing that is, the one who was chosen to succeed the leader. Interesting theory's have arose that for sure."
"Yes. Enoch was his name. He was a follower, or so I've been told. Evidently he went missing the same day Cornelius did, so I suppose it kinda adds up right?" he chuckled, "But a lot of this could just be folly. Rumors is what they are. The part about Enoch that is, the other stuff I said has been proven."
He at first wanted to dig into that but then notice his face, "I am sorry Phillis, am I confusing you with this bombardment of information." he chuckled.
"I'll recap, with less details." he chuckled. "So Winston was being influenced by advisors who all belonged to a group focused on injustices. Once he found out about it, he put an end to it, however the leader would be replaced by his page. And that page, Enoch, has gone missing." he smiled, "Did that help any? I understand I kinda dumbed it down maybe a bit too much."

Phillis was not fond of the term 'dumbed down', especially when it was used against him. It was a pet peeve. "I do suppose you needed to dumb it down quite a bit. I understand now."
