It was night time, the moon hung over the ocean. Peaceful, beautiful.
Rio panted as she walked into the water. A trail of blood following her, running into the ocean. She continued until the water reached her upper thigh. She had practiced her explosions repeatedly, training her hardest, and she finally did it. She had exploded a person. A human being. Exploded. Dead. All due to her wonderful, beautiful, explosions.
She began laughing, hysterically.
She did it. She finally fucking did it.
"HEY GOD, I BET YOU HATE ME NOW, DON'T YOU?!" She yelled, laughing between words.
"HATE ME, LIKE YOU'VE NEVER HATED BEFORE. I'LL CONTINUE TO DO EVERYTHING I CAN TO SPITE YOU!" she was getting a thrill out of this.
Dante stared down at the girl, shocked. "R-Rio! What the hell are you doing?!" He yelled from the cliff, about 30 feet from the top of the water. He got up, jumping down from the cliff, his hat flying off his head. Just before he reached the water, the speed of his fall fell, and he lightly touched the top of the water. He stood on it, only a few feet away from the girl, his horns showing on the top of his head.
Rio turned to face the boy, a creepy little smile on he face. Her blood-stained hands waved at him. "What're you doing up so late, Dante?" she asked, as if they had run into each other in the streets casually.
"What...what's wrong with you?" he muttered. "You're supposed to be an angel...are you not? Why would you..." Dante was absolutely horrified at the explosion. He had seen death before. But not like that.
"I'm a fallen angel, honey. They kicked me out for a reason." Rio said, as she let herself fall into the water, washing the blood off of her skin. She shot back up, the ice cold water had now soaked her entire body. "Ouu, what a chill!" she exclaimed, laughing.
Rio splashed a bit of water at Dante, it had become red due to the blood. "Live a little! Just because you're the kings boy-toy doesn't mean you have to abide by the rules for the rest of your life. Such a boring time that is."
Dante rubbed his eyes, his coat was now slightly stained with blook at the sleeve. "I follow the law because it is the law. Rio, there's a difference between breaking and entering, stealing, or mugging someone! You killed someone! Not only that, you brutally murdered them!"
"For fun? Is it so wrong to do things for fun?" Rio asked, seriously. "Now tell me, that theatre..Don't people go there for fun? And when children play tag, is it because they have to? No, it's for fun. If everyone else in Avaleur reserves the right to have fun, then I am not different. Because breaking the law, it is fun. It is my greatest pleasure."
"What about that person?! Huh?!" Dante was pissed off at this point, yelling very loudly. "He's dead! What are you, fucking insane?! Do whatever the fuck you want, just don't KILL people!"
"Are you kidding me?" Rio laughed. "You didn't know that people call you that?" she laughed even harder. " I'm sorry but that's hilarious! Not everybody loves you, buddy!" She wiped a tear from her eye, this was getting too good.
"I'm not playing games! As much fun as that would be! Do you want to know something, Dante? You're pretty popular down at bandit camp. Wanna know what they call you?" Rio asked, tormenting the boy. "Oh, they call you lots of things. A fag, a pencil pusher, a goody two-shoes. But do you want to know the best thing they call you? They call you a gold digger. Because nobody could love such a daft king for anything more then his wallet."
"Phillis is more than money. I have never asked him to give me money in any circumstance. The only thing I have from him is a ring, and that is all. I pay for my food, clothes, everything that I own I worked for. Even my stay in the castle, I refuse to stay for free." Dante gritted his teeth. "I stay with him because he is kind, caring, funny, and the most precious person in my life."
Rio rolled her eyes. She, of course, didn't believe him. "A fool in love, indeed. Well, it's only what I've heard, I really don't care enough to find out the facts. Perhaps it's his looks you're intrigued by? Oh, but I don't judge you. Lust is a wonderful sin, and who knew someone like you would commit it." she teased the boy, laughing.
Seth flew down from the sky as a bald eagle and landed softly in the sand, his feathers had blood stains on them, none of it his own. He shifted back to normal breathing heavily. He pointed at Rio in shock, "You..Y-You killed him!" He angrily said, a bit of fear in his voice. He was walking a few feet away when the man suddenly exploded. Pieces of him flew everywhere like they were fire works. It hadn't been a week since his father was brutally murdered and now someone exploded right in front of him. He wasn't about to let another murderer get away. He didn't know Rio at all, all he knew was her hands were up and she was laughing hysterically after the man exploded. "I'm not letting you get away with this." Seth threatened. Then looked at Dante, now was not the time for reunion though. "The whole town is panicking now. Because of the mess YOU made." He said. "What do you have to say for yourself!?"
(I think Rio just became my new favorite character lol )
