Kavanah looked up and around. It was a tough thing to figure out when you traveled by the shadow of the clouds. They may not even be in the area classified as Avaleur, he noticed that they had reached the other side of the mountains. "Uh, I think we are on the other side of the mountains actually."

"Ohh, really? Hmm, I've only been in Guerre in the parts of Avaleur. Quite interesting to be outside of it..." Jordan stood up, brushing himself off as he looked at the area.
Kavanah pointed towards a trail that lead into the mountains. "It seems we are on Avaleur's very edge. Take that path and you will end up in Hollow." he explained, "It is the closest outside village to Avaleur, in the mountains that is. Once the war is over there is a good chance we will expand far enough to officially control it again."
Kavanah began to walk down the path towards Hollow. "How should I explain this. I suppose I don't have much to explain, but here is what I can say. Before you arrived the castle ruins were very much so, well haunted, Ryn and I sort of cleansed the place and in the process found Namesiwa." he would just skim through everything, not really go into detail. "He told us about Almora's tear. Familiar with it?"
"Evidently it is some stone of high importance. Enough to start a war filled with lies and betrayal. Namesiwa, Ryn, and I solved a puzzle in the ruins that told us its location was hidden somewhere in hollow, which would explain the village's past. Out of the blue there was a massacre by and unknown group, they left as soon as they came.."
They reached the path where the mountains formed a small narrow lane into the cliffs, and eventually to Hollow, "Oh yes, Hollow is know all over for it's mining and smithing."

Jordan smiled as he looked out across the area. "Beautiful...I can see why it would be known for it's mining and smithing!" Jordan was refering to the mountains. "Are we going to go and visit Hollow?"
Kavanah could care less, he wasn't sure how to figure the riddle out. And what awaited was also uncertain. "Nou unless you...want....to..." he slowed down his speech as he saw something interesting in the path floor. He cleared the dirt and looked to his amazement at a large carving in the stone path way.

Jordan crouched next to Kavanah in wonder, and traced a bit of the carving out with his gloved fingers. "What's this...?" Jordan muttered. It looked sort of odd to him.
Kavanah shook his head in bewilderment. He felt like he had heard a story about it, but could not recall it. As he pondered the symbol, he realized he had seen it before. "I don't know what they are, but I remember seeing them scattered about in the castle ruins..." Now why would a far out mountain village like Hollow have the same symbols as the Avaleur castle ruins? What was the connection?
"Very interesting theories, Jordan." he hought about them both. "Why would the attack leave markings, unless the markings are why they attacked..." now that sounded even more interesting. Perhaps that is why Hollow was attacked.
