(RP between Sanaki and me)
Alex stood in the forest for Sanaki to arrive, early like last time. He was bubbling with excitement, anticipating the coming lesson. He heard a twig snap somewhere close behind him and turned around. Remember his first day in Avaleur when he and Isaac fought the wolves, he braced himself, thinking, I really hope that's Sanaki and nothing dangerous..
"Don't worry it is just Kumi....maybe." Sanaki spoke calmly while sitting on a branch above the lad, he was going to see how long it took him to look up but he figured he would answer him before he got scared, "If it's not her then just remember what i taught you kiddo." he added, contemplating on jumping down or not he decided to see what it was himself.

Alex looked up, startled. The bushes parted and Kumi came trotting out. She came and sat in front of him, and he reached out and pet her soft head. "How long have you been there?" he asked.

Sanaki laughed at the boy's startled look "Hi kidda" he jumped off the branch and landed next to him "hmm..I'd say i was up there maybe an hour before you got here, i decided to take a nap while Kumi went off to scared the living daylights out of small woodland creatures." he replied yawning and looking up at the tree "so are you ready to start?" he asked.
"Right here" Sanaki replied half joking, he took out a broard sword that he managed to find at home and tossed it towards the boy (handle first of course) "we will begin with focusing magic with weapons, unless you have one you would perfer to use" he instructed taking out his rapier.
Sanaki chuckled before starting "So all magic is focused and dispersed that's a basic law of it, however the more focus put into it the more deadly the dispersed magic, which is what we're learning today; normally you channel magic through your hands, eyes etc. but all of those allowed room for the magic to disperse openly but take the tip of a sword" he said indicating his rapier "if you can channel you magic through that it becomes more direct, focused, and deadly, its kinda like point and shoot in a sense" he held his rapier up on a horizontal angle and closed his eyes, eventually a jet of fire produced from the tip; he turned to the lad waiting for him to try it.

Alex watched the fire on Sanaki's rapier for a moment before closing his eyes and concentrating. Focusing, he channeled his magic into the tip of his sword, and when he opened his eyes, sparks were flying out of it.
But no fire.
He concentrated a little harder, and after a moment a stream of flame shot out. It hit a tree, which caught fire instantly. Alex froze the tree, then turned back to Sanaki, waiting to hear what he would say.
Sanaki stared at the ice tree for a bit for turning to the boy "Well, looks like you know how to do it now you just need to control it" he said smiling "That should just be a matter of focus, also that same thing applies with almost all magic, except, well healing probably negates what you want to achieve..." his voice slowly died down till a bark from Kumi brought him back to attention "R-right back to teaching, heh, alright on to healing...stab me" he stated blankly.
Sanaki raised an eyebrow "Yes stab me, anywhere you like...just not my head that could cause problems" he said crossing his arms "Trust me i know what i doing boy, learning to use healing magic is easier if you see it first hand, plus having a bit of desperation helps" he explained.
Kumi came up and whined at him looking worried "I've done it many time before and i can do it this time too, besides if worst comes to worst I'll just use the grey magic to seal it" he bent down and petted Kumi to ease her worries, "now lets go slash, stab, even a simple cut works if you don't want to do anything brutal; and don't worry it will be perfectly fine" Sanaki was confident in both himself and his student.

"Um.. O-ok..? If you're sure.." He looked over Sanaki, unsure as to how to go about this. He didn't want to hurt the man, but he was going to regardless of where he stabbed him.
Making his decision, he quickly slashed across Sanaki's forearm. Blood welled up immediately, but he had made sure not to cut him too deep. It wouldn't kill him, it would just bleed a lot.
Still, he felt bad and exclaimed, "Sorry! Sorry!!" even though Sanaki had told him to. More out of habit to apologize than anything.

Sanaki gripped his arm swearing like madman which quickly became a mess of words that no one would be able to decipher "Argh! i knew it would hurt but damn!" he said to himself and was the only sentence that made sense, he quickly composed himself after the pain subsided a bit "Alright, alright now look you see this?" he said showing the cut which seemed to ooze blood "Now you have to will the wound to heal and focus your energy on it, like if your hand was bandage, personally i treat like healing magic as a person and ask it...in my mind of course but since healing magic is quite strange it is just something that helps me focus, now you try it." he instructed holding his arm out to the boy as Kumi looked up worried.

"Sorry!" He exclaimed again as he watched Sanaki swear and clutch his arm.
"Shouldn't you have shown me how to do this before a swung at you with this freaking sword???!!" he said, then realized he should probably get to work on the healing magic.
Feeling a little panicky, Alex focused all his energy on healing the wound, doing exactly what Sanaki said to do. After a few moments, he opened his eyes and the wound was almost completely healed. It was still bleeding a little, so he healed it some more then looked to Sanaki, again waiting for his words.
"But wheres the fun in that? Also someones not going to wait for you to get ready to heal if you or someone else is hurt you have to be ready on the spot that's why i didn't tell you" he laughed a little "Also there is no need to say your sorry around me, its a lesson sorrys are not a requirement" he smiled.
Looking down at his now healed arm he smiled brightly at the boy patting him on the shoulder "And that is how you can save someones life!" he exclaimed "Keep up the practice and soon you'll be able to handle the deep nasty wounds without doubt, who knows you may even be able to save me one day! Another good fact about this is that it shows you have the making to becoming a great healer or more."
Sanaki began walking back and forth as he continued his lesson "Now we can either focus on mixing the healing magic and other magics or we can move right into the very different kind of magic" as spoke the last part sounded a little dark compared to the rest.
(Why do you choose the one magic that Sanaki regards with a darker tone!? lol)
Sanaki almost cast a cold stare at the boy for forgetting his subjects he said he would teach but quickly and clumsily recomposed himself before answering "U-um yeah...anyway yes the magic i mean is ah..." he wasn't sure if he wanted his student to know such a deadly magic as it is known to harm its user as well " well....its 'Grey Magic' you see" he said with a sigh;
turning to the ice tree he held out his hand which turned a shade of gray which the tree soon followed starting from the roots up he began bending its very shape and size as a demonstrating the art of double edged magic which was proven as he started to bleed from his mouth causing him to clench his fist destroying the tree, turning it into pieces as he was force to kneel on the ground "and thats why i'm...a little worried on teaching it" he coughed up some blood onto and ground and Kumi quickly ran to his side whimpering a bit "I'm fine girl" he smiled weakly "so we will learn that" he added standing back up.

((Because I'm a curious bastard, that's why! XD))
Alex stared in horror as his mentor kneeled on the ground bleeding. Glancing between his hurt teacher and the demolished tree, he was unsure of what he should do. On one hand, that magic looked freaking epic. But on the other, Sanaki would get hurt while teaching him it.
"U-um.. Maybe we should wait to learn that until I'm more.. Advanced?" he suggested, deciding he didn't want Sanaki to be in pain.
(your thirst for knowledge is costing Sanaki blood!)
"No,no its alright if its done right it shouldn't hurt i was careless" he replied standing up and wiping the blood from his mouth "i just don't want you to get hurt so i need you to swear you'll be careful and only use this as a last resort as this magic has no limits to what...or who it can destroy, even you" his tone was dead serious "but i won't force you i can teach you properly but you'll need to be commited to learning it and practice it at least once a year." he said pacing back and forth a little bit before turning to the lad and awaiting his answer.
