Little Kitty

[Scooter]

Scooter had been strolling throughout the meadow peacefully when he came across an injured kitten. It appeared perfectly fine at first except for a broken leg. He immediately stopped and tried to help it. "L-Little kitty, are you okay? How did you hurt yourself? You can't even walk.. It must hurt a lot.. " he spoke to it as if it were a person.

He tried to help heal the kitten, but the only way he could heal was through the rain and that only frightened it even more. It was injured pretty badly and had evidently been there for awhile. Scooters eyes began to water, he felt bad that he couldn't do anything to help it. "I-I'm sorry.." he mumbled to the kitten, lightly petting it's head. "I'm so useless, I'm sorry! I wish I could help you.." he bit his lip, holding back tears.

[Sanaki]

Sanaki smiled in peace as he and Kumi traversed the meadow admiring the weather and sights, as they ambled along the way Kumi broke into a sprint and began barking wildly scaring the daylights out of him as she ran in the direction of Scooter "great now i have to shout and holler to warn small critters" he grumbled before looking up to see his once energtic student kneeling on the ground looking over something.

"O-oh h-hey there Scooter!!" he called out moving into a jog as Kumi growled at was Scooter was looking at, as Sanaki caught he glanced at Kumi "what are you doing girl? its Scoo-- oh..." he said looking at the injured kitten; he knelt now besides Scooter "How is it faring?" he asked in the same gentle tone he used with distressed student.

[Scooter]

Scooter burst out crying, as he tugged on Sanakis sleeve like a child. He felt both embarrassed and relieved that someone had shown up. "I-I was w-walking and, and, I s-saw this kitty... but I.." he sobbed. " C-Can you please help her?! S-She's r-really hurt.."

[Sanaki]

Alright, alright lets see what we can do okay?" he still spoke in a gentle tone and patted Scooter's head like he would a child before turning to the injured animal which looked up at him weakly, he turned his attention to its leg and placed hand near it in which the 'kitty' raised it's head in alarm for laying it back down as it's energy was spent.

Sanaki's hand glowed softly as it hovered above the injured appendage, and with a few sickly sounds of bones and muscles knitting back together the animal managed to move its leg in a slight motion but still to exhausted to get up "hmm looks like it will still need time to heal up and relax before it can move again" he said in a serious tone before turning to Scooter "See? all better" he spoke in a happy tone while smiling lightly.

[Scooter]

Scooter sniffled, while wiping the tears from his eyes. "Th-Thank you, sir.. I didn't know what to do.."

The kitten remained laying on the ground, but it purred softly. It was clearly feeling much better than before.

[Sanaki]

Sanaki laughed at the thought of someone calling him 'sir' "Have you forgotten my name already? just call me Sanaki" he chuckle stopped as Kumi began to growl at the healed animal and he gave her a stare which simply said: 'the hell do you think your doing?' noticing this stare Kumi flattened her ears slinking over to Sanaki's side and laid down but not before casting one more hate fueled look at her timeless enemy; "what happened exactly? did you panic?" he said turning to Scooter once more.

[Scooter]

Scooter calmed down a bit. His eyes still a bit red from crying. "K-Kind of.. I couldn't do anything.. I-I feel useless because I forgot how to heal things normally. You know, without combining it with the rain.. I can do that now but in return I forgot how to do it by itself.. A-And kitties are afraid of water so I didn't want to scare it away. I sat here and tried calling for someone but nobody showed up so I just starting crying b-because I couldn't do anything.."

[Sanaki]

"Well in truth you could have healed kitty here that whole time" he put a hand on Scooter's shoulder as reassurance "if you remember you have to have the will to heal something/someone and focus greatly and it won't come easy at first but soon it will, in the meantime this little guy...girl will need a place to stay to avoid further harm....do you think you can do that? cause i doubt Kumi here would kindly to a feline house guest" as if to emphasize his point Kumi began to growl again before receiving another stare from Sanaki
"Plus it will need a bit of a persistent healing which is good practice for you" he added with a smile.

[Scooter]

Scooter smiled and nodded his head. "I-I'll call her Liesel.. a-and I'll help heal her everyday so she can get better." He sincerely said, petting her head. She purred louder and licked Scooters fingers happily. He blushed a bit. "S-She seems really friendly too.. How long do you think it's gonna take to fully heal her?"

[Sanaki]

Sanaki nodded "Liesel is a good name for a cat i think its good to see you two get along so well already" he chuckled but shrugged at the question "could take days...months? the longest possiable could be a year" he guessed looking at Kumi who simply tilting her head as a shrug of her own "Just keep it up and she'll full of spirit and have a spring in her step in no time" he replied.

[Scooter]

"Th-Thank you again.. I feel kinda stupid.." Scooter laughed awkwardly. "I owe you a lot!"

[Sanaki]

"It was no trouble you're just learning this it makes sense you panicked a little, as for owing me you can buy me a drink" he let out a loud laugh as he was joking "yeah...i think your a little to young to be in a bar though" he continued "but in all honesty just seeing little Liesel here grow up big and strong will suffice my friend" he smiled

[Scooter]

Scooter nearly teared up again. "R-Really?! That's awful nice of you. I-I'll make sure she grows up to be really, really healthy and strong! I won't disappoint either of you! I promise, I pinky promise!" he exclaimed, extending his little finger.

[Sanaki]

Sanaki laughed at the energy Scooter had even after transering from immortal to mortal he had the energy of 5 or more adults "Alright then its a pinky promise i guess" he shrugged curling his own pinky around the his "you be sure to keep practicing healing though" he chuckled.

[Scooter]

Scooter nodded enthusiastically. "I'll do it every single day! And I'll put all my heart and soul into it!!"

[Sanaki]

Sanaki nodded "Thats the spirit be sure to let me know when she gets better alright?" he said standing up dusting himself off and streching a little as Kumi followed suit "Heh..you may even form a bond like Kumi and I....though i doubt any one can match us" he added chuckling as Kumi Barked obvisouly pleased with this statment.

[Scooter]

Scooter giggled. "Yeah, we probably won't ever be that close! That's some heavy competition! I'm hoping we'll be good friends though! And hopefully Kyle will like her too.."
