Dante sat at the fountain, reading a book his sister let him borrow. Most of the spells, he already knew, and the ones he didnt know were not at his level of advancement. He sighed, placing the book down beside him.
Turning to the side to grab another book from his bag, he accidentally knocked over his sisters book into the water.
"Shit!" Dante cursed, which he did not do often. He turned around quickly, threw his coat on the ground so only his black shirt remained on his torso, and fished for the book. His necklase nearly dipped in the water as he continued to do this.

Phillis was walking through the center of town, it was very quaint but not as nice as his previous town. He liked it though, something about it was much nicer, much friendlier.
He noted the large fountain, dead center. It was large, and very elegant. He admired it for a moment... And then he noticed Dante. He smiled a bit to himself, it seemed like a bad time to bother the boy, but what the hell, he approached him anyways.
"Hello, Phillis. N-No, not really," Dante blushed, as he rummaged through the water. "I can't seem to find my sisters book in here...It fell in, you see...If I could just find it, I could fix it, but I can't seem to do that..."

Phillis approached the fountain looking over the side. He got rather close to Dante as he peered over the edge. "Oh, here it is." He said, as he reached down, grabbing the dampened book.
"Your arms were just a little too short to grab it, that's all." He smiled, handing the book to him.
Dante smiled, taking the book from him. "Thank you, Phillis. I appreciate it." he said kindly. He placed the book onto his lap, and put his hands over the cover. His hands started glowing blue, and the book slowly started turning dry.
As soon as it was completely recovered, Dante slipped the book into his bag, and turned to his friend.
"So what brings you to the middle of town?" Dante smiled, unintentionaly brushing his hand against Phillises as he stood up beside him.

Phillis smiled, as he noted the boys hand. "Just exploring, I guess."
All of a sudden, Phillis remembered what Namari had said in the church. Boyfriend. He quickly took his hand away, laughing awkwardly. "S-So, what're you doing here?"

Dante tensed up as he did up the buttons of his jacket. "Oh, yeah?...she must be pretty mad at me by now, I keep freezing her to the ground on instinct when I see her." Dante laughed.

Dante smiled, "Probably." Watching Phillis laugh made Dante's heart skip a beat. He quickly blushed, and looked away, trying to cover his cheeks with his hand.
"So, uhm...how is Avaleur compared to your home town?" Dante asked, trying to clear his thoughts. I can't be thinking like that right now...

Dante blushed an even darker shade of red, as he looked down at his shoes. "O-Oh...Thank you, Phillis..." Dammit, he isn't helping this in the slightest...
"I've never left here, so I don't know much about how other towns, cities or countries work..." he bit his lip, running a hand through his hair. Phillis clearly had to be noticing his rosy cheeks by that time.

Phillis couldn't help but notice the boy becoming redder by the minute.
"The other cities are great, but nothing exceptional..." He said, he continued looking at the boys face. "Do you have a cold, per chance? You're very red."

He shook his head in a no, "I-I get sick very easily, but when I am sick I know it...so no worries, I'm fine!" Dante, though seemingly impossible, went redder at the thought of Phillis caring.
"But th-thank you..." Dante smiled weakly, still not looking at the man's face, and more or less at his feet.

Phillis nodded. "oh." He said simply.
He looked around as the two remained silent for a moment. He couldn't help but keep thinking about what Namari had told him. Boyfriend. The word kept ringing through his head.
He turned to Dante quickly. "Say, are you seeing anyone?"

Dante's heart stopped. By then, his face was as red as a rose. He made the mistake to look up at Phillises face, and caught his eyes. He stared at them for a split second.
"No...why do you ask?" he mumbled, finally looking at his feet again. In truth, he had never been with anyone like that.

"Just wondering." Phillis said, he smiled lightly at the boy. A real, genuine smile. "You do have a kind of innocence to you." he added. An...untouched kind of innocence.

"I don't know what innocence has to do with relationships, but thank you." Dante laughed, his face finally beginning to turn his normal skin tone.
He looked up again and gazing into Phillises yellow eyes. "Gorgeous..." Dante muttered quietly, then blushed and looked down, hoping he had not heard Dante.
