Walter smirked. Now that he had a weapon, he was good. Lucky he had been in his human form enough of his time in Avaleur that he knew how to fight without his demon side. He raised the dagger and blocking Mr. Ryan's hit. "Now now, you'll attack even me now? My goodness, you really want to get fired, don't you?"
The demon looked at Steele for a moment, and gave a reasuring smile. Walter lunged forward, aiming to stab Mr. Ryan with the dagger, raising his arm up to block any deathening hits with Mr. Ryans sword.
Mr. Ryan couldn't back up because he was against the stone wall. Heading to the right would make him go right towards Steele, going to the left would back him into a corner of the wall and the electric cage. He didn't have time to think, he immediately moved to the left narrowly avoiding the cage and more importantly Walter. He holds the sword with both hands. "I don't understand, after all he's done to this city, you defend him!?" Steele rolled his yellow eyes, "Tis' again?" It seemed to be the theme of the night. Guards trying to get retribution for what the pack did. The guard with the staff gulped, he was nervous. "Hey..don't do anything you'll regret...let's just put our weapons down...and no one has to get hurt." Mr. Ryan spat, "Fools! I have no intention of putting down my weapon until that werewolf's head is on a platter. Everyday I wake up alone...thinking of all I'm going to do to the bastard that killed my family....my wife and daughter were at that festival months ago, they were in the barn when HE," he points his sword at Steele, "and his pack raided the place...I was outside at the time." He looked at Walter, "He killed my wife and took my daughter...I tried to stop them but..I wasn't strong enough." He looks down for a moment before looking back at Walter. "I joined the guard for the chance of seeing him again....if i could make him feel how i felt that night..." He pointed his sword again. "I'm not going to stop until he's dead, that's a promise..."
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."

"I understand you are in pain. But a pack does the will of his leader! Steele is not the packs leader! Killing him does nothing for you, it will not bring back your wife or daughter. It will not give you relief. It will not help you let go."
"Your wife and daughter do not want you to kill others for them. They do not want you living your life in jail, or dieing just for the chance to avenge them. If there's something I understand best, its the mind of the dead. They just want to rest, and not have to worry about their loved ones..." Walter stared at Mr. Ryan, stepping between him and Steele. "Just give up. You gain nothing by doing this. All you do is loose everything."
"It was not his packs orders to go on a rampage and kill her!" Mr. Ryan furiously said. "And if I die...then I can finally rejoin them.." The guard with the staff shook his head, "Don't do it Mr. Ryan please! It doesn't have to end this way, you can stop this! I know you're devastated but doing this will only make things much worse, think about all your friends who care about you.." A brief moment of silence passes. "I'm sorry..." Mr. Ryan says, and then lunges full force at Walter.
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."

Walter silently cursed to himself, getting in a defensive position. He wouldn't be able to block the hit with the dagger, so Walter took one for the team and grabbed the sword with his bare hand, moving it away from his body as the man lunged at him. Walter then lashed out at Mr.Ryan with the dagger.
Mr. Ryan was taken completely by surprise, catching the sword!? It was impressive. He could see the attack coming, see the daggers fine tip coming right at his chest, but there was nothing he could do to avoid it. He tried bring his other hand to block it. The dagger plunged through his left arm. He shouted in pain as blood immediately trickled down. Blood was also coming down from Walter's hand from where he caught the sword. The whole room filled with the scent of blood, making all the werewolves restless. Though they were more tame and less aggressive when controlled, they still had the bloodlust. Steele turned around about to help Walter, "Don't even think about it!" The guard nervously said. "Lad ye' hev' noo idea what yer' doin! Yer' friends goin' ti' get himself killed!" Steele barked. The guard held the staff closer to Steele. "You just...stay there!" He was sweating from fear. Steele roared at him, which caused the guard to jump back a little. "Ahm' not goin' ti' stand by because of yer' cowardice!" Steele qucikly hobbled on all fours next to Walter and stood up on two feet, keeping most weight on one footpaw.
Mr. Ryan's pulled his sword to get it back from Walter's grip, now Mr. Ryan was now infected with lycanthrope since the silver dagger still had Steele's blood on it. He cursed in pain as his blood spilled onto the floor. With the dagger still in his arm he spun and tried to slash at Steele and Walter.
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."

A human disguise. A shell. That was all that Walter was when he was human. He did not know that harming the shell could unleash the demon inside, even with a spell casted on him. But he felt it as the blood from his hand dripped to the floor. It was fairly heavy, the sword cutting in deep. But Walter couldn't feel it. And all that was seen from Walter was his cocky smirk.
It hadn't unleashed him completely. More or less, a bit of his strength. A bit of his magic. "Don't kill yourself Steele!" Walter spoke. It was odd. He was practically both human and demon at the same time at this moment. His smirk grew, as he bounced backwards to avoid Mr. Ryan's sword.
Steele moved back to avoid the swipe, he growled feeling pain as he put pressure on his bleeding footpaw. His steps left bloody paw prints. "Don't kill me'self? HA, ye jus' worry aboot not gettin' yer hand cut off..." He smirked seeing Walter's wound, something was different about him though. This thought was interrupted when Mr. Ryan lunged at him, Steele couldn't jump out of the way on one paw. The sword came down, Steele put his guard up as to not take a direct hit. The swipe carved down both his arms, cutting the whole muscle, all the way to the bone. Steele roared in pain as his lycan blood ran from his arms dripping onto the wooden floor. Not a second later he felt the shear agony of getting electrocuted again from the guard with the staff. He howled nearly falling to his knees.. The pain from all this triggered a survival instinct. With all the punishment his body had taken tonight and the scent of blood filling the air it was a recipe for going feral. He growled very loudly, his mind beginning to fill with rage as he fell to all fours. The other werewolves already knew what was happening, the smaller and younger ones were beginning to become frightened. Olaf went feral tonight and now he was in critical condition in the ER. Thankfully Steele was caged, but what did that mean for everyone inside the cage!? He tackled the guard with the staff to the floor, his blood dripping onto him. He raised his right hand, and tore across his throat in a fury. He opened his mouth and, literally, bit the guards face off.
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."

Walter stiffened. Turning to Mr. Ryan, he shrugged simply. "See what you've done? You've forced a werewolf into going feral. You practically sent that guard to his death. And I am definitely not helping you," the demon shrugged, smiling. But he couldn't help but wonder what his fate would be like. In a not entirely large cage, with a feral werewolf. How lovely.
"Now I must say, you've screwed everyone here over, Mr. Ryan. Good job. Dumbass," Walter sighed, rubbing his temples.
Mr. Ryan held tightly onto his sword, backing into the corner of the cage, at this point it was his only hope of getting past the werewolf and out the cage doors. He looked at Walter, "Everything would have been fine if you would have stayed out of the way....but you just had to save this monster....don't you get it yet!?" He groaned feeling the dagger cause immense pain in his arm. He coughed loudly, the sickness already starting.
Blood splattered everywhere as Steele ate the guard, the other cage went shocked a few werewolves that were trying to get out of their cage to help. The guard outside the cage watched, if she opened the cage then the werewolf would escape, possibly killing even more people. She panicked. Steele turned around, his entire front side soaked in blood. He stood on all fours, he looked like a very large wounded animal. He growled loudly looking at Walter and Mr. Ryan. "Don't move!" An armored werewolf advised. "Din't do anything sudden! Yer' life depends on it!"
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."

And with that, Walter did not move. His arms were still crossed, still turned to Mr. Ryan. He dared not look at Steele. Let's see if this idiot will move, then, Walter thought to himself as he watched Mr. Ryan, and began playing the waiting game.
Mr. Ryan tried to muffle his heavy breathing to not make much noise. He looked at Walter and around the cell. The only thing standing in the way of the door was Steele, in fact Walter was closer to Steele. But leaving was not on his mind, he wasn't leaving until Steele was dead. The noises of Steele's terrorizing growls and the panicked werewolves in the other cages were what filled the room. The guard outside the cell panicked, she didn't know what to do. She had the keys to the cell and no one else knew what was going on down in the jail cells. She'd been paid to turn a blind eye to everything but she didn't expect things to go so disastrous.
"You there..sir!" She called to Walter. "You have to use the staff." She said. Steele instinctively turned and lept at her, as soon as he hit the cage the electricity began to shock him. The cage dented at the shear force of the attempted tackle. He landed and stepped back, the cage was doing it's job but how long could it last before he busted out? She jumped back scared, if it wasn't for the bars she'd be torn to shreds.
"No lad!" Another werewolf says in the other cage. "If ye' shock him again, it'll kill him! He's feral because his body can't handle anymore!" "No, kill him!" The guard argued, "Before he busts out! If the city has a werewolf rampaging through it it will be a disaster!" "Din't listen ti' that bitch she's just trying to cover this all up!" Another werewolf argued. Steele lept at the bars again, putting a dramatic dent in them, the electricity sent him back, he howled in pain as his fur had burn marks all around. One more hit like that and the cage would be busted. "I-m...I'm pregnant!" She says as she backs away from the dented cage. "No she's not!" Another smaller werewolf yells. "She's fuckin' lyin' she's tryin' ti' save herself." Another yells. "Please I'm pregnant. Don't let it kill me." She pleads to Walter.
Steele gets back on all fours about to ram the cage one last time, the choice was all Walters. Kill Steele or Let him escape.
Mr. Ryan picked up his sword,
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."

...fuck me. Walter sighed. He was not about to kill people in Avaleur, nor Steele. So, he did the only thing he thought he could. He rushed up to Steele and slammed into him.
"Hey!" he barked out. "I'm the enemy here! Wasn't I trying to hit on your girlfriend? Coulda took her, too!" Walters plan was simple. Get Steele pissed off at him, and try and attack Walter. That way, the one in danger would be Walter. He planned on trying to stay alive long enough to calm Steele down, as long as the werewolfs attention was on him. He had no clue how it was going to end. But at least this would buy people some time.
Steele was rammed, he fell but quickly scrambled up to his feet looking directly at Walter. The feral Steele snarled at him. The guard outside the gate gave a sigh of relief, Walter saved her, at least for a little while. She looked towards the door that would lead her to the exit, leaving everyone in the cell left for dead. No one would believe the werewolves if they told the story of what happened, she could easily make-up a story of how the werewolf attacked them and escaped. But with someone like Walter around, she would go to jail for sure. "Elaine don't!" Mr. Ryan said. "You have to get me out of here!" She backed from the cage shaking her head. "I'm sorry!" She said and ran to the exit door. "Elaine!" Mr. Ryan called after her but it was too late, now he too was a prisoner trapped.
Steele growled for a moment and then lifted his head giving a very powerful howl, the glass frame on the wall across the cage shattered from the force. Mr. Ryan held his ears, it was like listening to an explosion. Even the ground shook. Steele flexed his claws looking at Walter, he took a step about to tear him apart. But a sound caught his attention, another werewolf howled back, it was much less powerful, but it was enough to catch Steele's attention. It seemed to calm him down a little. He looked back at Walter and started growling again, taking another step towards him.
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."

Walter relaxed a little, realizing this was the chance to calm Steele down. "...you should calm down now, my friend...as best as you can...I know you are not like this...hell, you don't want Namari seeing you like this. And she certaintly doesn't want you killing people. So try your best, Steele, you have to. If not for me, if not for Namari, for yourself. Show yourself a leader to your people and control even your feral state."
(Sorry for the delay, had a very big track meet and then i had to work one the next day.)
Steele growled at Walter even louder and tackled him right after Walter had finished his sentence. He opened his jaw, ready to bite Walter's throat out, ready to kill him. The whole jail errupted the werewolves trying to get through to Steele and make him stop what he was doing before it was too late! That was when he froze, still on top of Walter. The jail room slowly began to fill with a light blue light, from the barred windows all the way to the exit. It was sunlight. Steele lifted his head up and howled, his body beginning to change. His fur beginning to shed and his bones going back to their human shape. His howl beginning to turn into a human yell as he changed back. His claws and paws began to retract and ungrow as did his tail, his face shrinking back to normal. In a matter of seconds Steele was human once more, his eyes were still yellow but this was natural in the process. He breathed heavily, regaining his bearings. He groaned and fell right onto Walter, his muscles feeling like he'd just ran two marathons in a row. He had scorch marks across his body but they would heal before the days end.
The rest of the werewolves changed back as well now that the long night filled with fighting, injuries, and death was over. Steele nearly fell asleep right on Walter, until he realized what he was even on. He quickly scrambled off of him and rolled onto his back, still breathing heavily. A wet dog smell completely filled the jail cells as werewolves sweat when they change back. Steele sat up, his eyes glazed for a moment before he finally snapped out of it. He looked around at the bloody and destroyed jail cell, "What thee' hell....?" He says shocked at what he sees. He looked at Walter, "Of all thee' no' good'...lad! What did ah' tell ye' aboot' goin' ballistic nd' killin' everythin' when yer' upset..."
Mr. Ryan looked at Steele very shocked, at a loss for words even. The evil man who'd taken everything away from him, was barely out of his teenage years.
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."

"Ahh, my friend, I am sorry to say, but, that was not me," Walter chuckled, patting his back. Walter gave out a sigh, rubbing his shoulders where Steele had basically dug his paws and claws into. Surely he was probably bleeding there. He wiped off the blood that had dripped onto his neck with his sleeve, smiling at Steele.
"Mr. Ryan, I see you have finally realized what you were trying to do, hmm? Once they revert back to their human state you find it rather hard to see them as monsters, don't you," Walter sighed as he talked, shaking his head at Mr. Ryan. He stood up, wincing with the pain in his shoulders but not bothering with it.
He smiled at Mr. Ryan none the less, "Look, your friend there-" he pointed to the guard with his throat ripped out, "-Is dead. Your other friend who ran away did the smart thing. Now, you're going to be dead in a minute if you don't get the fuck out of here!" Walter's fists were clenched. "I don't want to kill you, but as a knight even in jail I must protect those within the walls of Avaleur. That means both Steele and you right now."
Mr. Ryan looked at Walter, "You'd protect that.....thing even after all it's done...even after it tried to kill you...have you no shame in protecting a murdering monster. Have you no-!" Steele interrupted. "Will ye' shut up nd' listen!" Steele yelled weakly, he was still exhausted from the transformation, his eyes finally shifted back from their yellow color. "What happened that nite' was an' accident hinny, it wasn't suppose' ti' happen like that, ah' thought it was goin' ti be a simple raid but ah' was literally stabbed in the back. We were unda' orders of our leader, ti' defy him would've meant death even fir' thee kids. we neva' had a choice....ah din't no' if ah'm thee one who killed yer wife...i went feral that night nd' couldn't control myself...nd' well" He looked around. "Ye' see what happens...ah no' an apology win't bring them back ti' ye nd' i'm not askin' ye' ti' eva' firgive me, but lad, din't throw away yer' life ova' an accident." There was a moment of silence. Mr. Ryan slowly got up, the look of defeat across his face, and silently limped towards the exit of the jail cell. He looked back one last time as if he was going to say something but turned and left.
Steele laid down and let out a big sigh of relief to just finally relax, "Aye lad ah' tell ye'..it ain't easy bein' a werewolf...somebody's always tryin' ti' kill ye'." He joked.
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."

"Apparently," Walter chuckled, sitting beside the werewolf. The demon let out a slight sigh, looking at Steele. "Well then. I do suppose Namari will figure out a way to convince Phillis to let us all out sooner or later!" he grinned, shrugging.
"Oh, and...I do appologize. I do not mean any harmful things I have said, really. Everything is just so quick to anger me nowadays, and I really have no clue what I am doing with my life anymore..." Walter practically mumbled what he said as he ran a hand through his hair.
"Yer tellin' me lad..." Steele said sullenly. "Tis' year' ah've gone feral moor' times thin' ah hev' in me' entire life. Ah' din't no' how ti' stop it...it jus' keeps happenin' moor' nd' moor often. Nd' someone always gets killed. Ah' no ah' act like ah' din't care, but lad' ah din't want ti' be a mindless animal that kills. Ah'm afraid one day ah'll lose it completely nd' neva' turn back." He looks at Walter. "Ah've been slowly turnin' into a 1st generation were...thee' moss' powerful breed of lycan ti' exist. Tis' what Balius had been plannin' all along since ah' was little. But if that happens, ah' win't be able ti' change back...ah'll be feral thee' rest of me life, a mindless animal." Steele held his head, tears slowly begin going down his face. "Nd' ah' din't no' how ti' stop it. Aa've tried not gettin' angry so much, aa've tried not changin', nd' aa've tried ti' cut doon' on huntin'...but thee moor' im in thee' city, thee' moor' i'm human, thee moor' ah' want ti' be out there as a wolf...nd' tis' fact scares thee shite oot' of me. Ah' din't no' hinny, what if ah' jus' lose it one nite'?..."
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."
