Dani looked around the dark city streets as she hung out the strangers window. It was midnight, and no one seemed to be around. She jumped down with a small bag on her back, making a small rattling noise.
Dani was a thief, new to Avaleur. This had been the first house she stole from. It seemed to hold quite a lot of money, and she decided to take a few small things. A few coins, a few jewlery and jems, that sort of stuff.
The young girl listened with her neko ears around her, listening for any footsteps, before running down the street quickly. As soon as she was out of sight from the house, she began walking normally, as if she did nothing wrong. Easy enough. No one spotted me, I took little, this is going to be a good town... she thought with a grin on her face. She began to whistle as she walked down the roads, occasionally passing by someone and nodding hello.
Xavier wore his old garments, minus a few things like the claws. On his face he also wore a mask. With his hood up he tired to stay out of the crowds and out of sight. He was scouting for people.
His eye was caught by a girl with longer, fur covered ears. To most people that meant nothing, but to him it meant that a she could be a thief of some kind. As many people with cat like characteristics got into. He would follower her for a bit and hope his hunch was correct.

She didn't notice anyone following her at first. She thought that it was just people behind her, walking in the same direction. But after some small turns down other roads and still hearing the same footsteps, she sighed. With each step the person took, Dani's ears flinched. She finally spun around to meet her follower.
Looking at Xavier, Dani placed both hands on her hips with an eyebrow raised up. "Do you need something?" she asked, looking Xavier up and down. Can't see his face, can't see any characteristics...great way to meet people, buddy, the neko girl thought as she finally stopped looking him over, and stared at his mask.

It had taken a bit longer for her to notice than he would have thought, or perhaps she had waited till they were alone before she confronted him. He hadn't had time to see anything that would point to her being what he was looking for, but luckily they were close to the recently closed Theater store. It was once a place where people could by fancy clothes and a few masks. It was cleaned out now but some posters and the like still hung on the walls as advertisment.
Xavier shook his head and pointed in the direction above the store, towards the sign. He walked up to the door and luckily it was unlocked. Now to see if she was positive he was following her or not. He closed the door but let it be cracked slightly.

Dani narrowed her eyes. Playing smart guy now, hmm? She placed both hands at her side, and walked towards the store. She opened it, walking in, looking around for the man. "No, really, what'd you want. I could feel your eyes at the back of my head, that aint a coincidence."
Xavier smiled, although it couldn't be seen under the mask. Unfortunately he did not know yet if this was the kind of thief he was looking for. "I was observing you is all, thought you could be what I was looking for." there was no point in hiding anything now.

"Oh, yeah?" she chuckled, crossing her arms as she looked around the shop. She spotted a big hat with feathers, and placed it on her head for fun. "And what exactly are you looking for?"
"A thief," he said simply. He was pretty sure at this point she was in fact one, but the kind he wanted he did not know. "But not just any ordinary thief."

"...what sort of thief?" she asked, taking off the hat and inspecting it carefully. Great reputation you already have, Dani, people already think you're a criminal...
He noticed the almost disappointed look that she had. He knew the look too well. "Don't fret, I only had a hunch given most people with your ears tend to go down that road. Only a professional would take notice of that." he chuckled, "I am still not even sure if you are one. Just a guess really." he then went to answering her question. "The thief can't just do it for the heck of it, it must have a better purpose. A higher goal, a meaning beyond just the pleasure it brings to themselves."

"...well, your guess is right, I am a thief!" Dani surprisingly laughed, shrugging it off. "I do not steal for the heck of it. I steal to live, and only steal from those who can afford it. Even then, I take little. Well, no matter, I suppose I'm not the sort of thief you wish of then!" She shrugged, placing down the hat and walking around the room, picking up the things that had been left in the shop and inspecting them carefully.

"I would like to extend to you a business offer." he pulled out a shiny card. It was all black but if you put it in the right light, no light, the words shined and were readable. "I and my colleague are trying to but together a black market as well as a group of criminals that do their crimes justly. I would be thrilled if you considered it." he offered the card. It read:
'We are the actions to their silent voices. -The _____'
"We are still thinking of a name, we might not have one. The card is kind of a prototype."

"Huh. Cool. I havent the slightest what could be the name, I'm sure you'll think of something. Are you having any trouble gathering members?" she asked, looking over the card. She smiled, liking the complexity of the card. I wonder how they got it to do that...
He nodded, "It is hard to find those who fit the criteria. But it is a necessary hardship." he noticed he examining the card closely, "Quite peculiar is it not?"

"Yes it is...I assume it's by some sort of magic, of course...I'll probably end up joining your group," she grinned cheekily. "It'd probably be fun. What sort of stuff would you do?" She asked.
Xavier nodded again, "Yes, a type of reversal magic I am lead to believe. Well there would be a few rules just to make it so you didn't cause harm to the group, but basically, for you anyways, the majority of it would be stealing from the extremely wealthy. Those who maybe got to their high rank by deception and shady works. Then more than likely we would give a large portion of that to the poor. The rest you keep."

"Alright, I don't mind that," she smiled, nodding at the man. "Are there any more rules I should be aware of? I must say though, it's strange to make business with a man with whom I do not know looks like."
"Only that if you were to steal and or kill outside of a job, you must justify why. The rules are not set in stone as of yet." he chuckled smiling under the mask, "And it is how I must stay. To reveal my face would reveal too much I am afraid. You however, may not have a problem distinguishing me from now and if you see me without it. Your ears could very well pick up the same voice."
