"That's good. I think strategy is better than a head-on rush," she looked at him with a smile, then raised an eyebrow, seeing that he was in thought about something. "Everything okay, Xavier?" she asked.

"...Stacy. Stacy Thompson. Oh you've got to be kidding...she passed away...?" Dani's eyebrows went up to create a sad expression. "Me and her were good friends...Littlebay turned completely boring once she left. Didn't tell anyone she was going. If I knew she would come here I'd have visited..."
Dani bit her lip as she looked at her hands. She then looked at Xavier with a smile, "I'm glad to know that she was happy, though. Glad to know that she was around people she loved."
So she had known her, and they had been friends... It pained him to have troubling news for Dani. "I can assure you she was happy, and probably would be even more excited to see you leaving home and going on your own adventure," he smiled remembering her.

"Oh goodness, adventures...you have no clue how much shit that girl got us into..." Dani face-palmed, but laughed none the less.
"One time she decided to pull a prank on my neighbor. That whole dog-poop in the bag on fire thing. He automatically thought it was me and I was grounded for a month. She even god a group of angry people chasing us for letting some of their farm animals out. And she'd take us both on an adventure each day!" the girl laughed as she remembered Stacy. She was probably her best friend.
Xavier smiled, he could see her doing all those things. He wished he could do those things with her, but no, he should be happy with what he got to do with her. No regrets. "That does sound like her." he had to ask though, "Did the people catch you?"

"No, luckily," Dani laughed. "We were just too fast. But we got into shit from both of our parents though. She understood me though, she knew both the good and bad in me and wouldn't have it any other way. I suppose that she would be like that for everyone," Dani was relating to both Xavier and Dani's criminal sides.
He chuckled knowing exactly what she meant, "Yeah, I would have to agree with you on that. We first met in quite the scenario. I was in the bandit camp outside of town and she just walked right into my tent!" he didn't mind saying that he used to live in the camp, not everyone there was a criminal.

"Oh goodness..." Dani face-palmed once again. "She knows better! I told her specifically not to walk into people's homes ever again! And of course she does it anyways..."
Dani shook her head and laughed, "I first met her when I was seven. She was five. I was walking through the forest, and she tackled me to the ground, yelled that we were to go on an adventure, and bolted down into the deeper part of the forest. She was smart, and yet her curiosity made her do stupid things."
Xavier was just a bit jealous, Dani knew her better than he did. It was okay though, hearing more about her was always something he would enjoy. "Isn't that true for all of us though? We all let curiosity make us do foolish things, just more so for her." he laughed.

"Yeah, do don't think, I think that sums her up pretty good," Dani grinned. Then, frowning a little, she asked, "So, if you don't mind me asking...how long ago did she pass?"

Dani slightly blushed, but grinned and took the man's hand, standing up. Once she was on both feet, she brushed herself off and threw her bag over her shoulder. "After you, my good sir!" she chuckled.

"No I haven't, so it's a good thing you're here. Now at least I know she died, and I can visit her without getting lost," Dani smiled as she followed Xavier through town. "Hopefully the graveyard is pretty."
"As pretty as one can be... Too many graves though, and ever growing it seems. The bell tower is quite the sight, it perhaps makes the graveyard as beautiful as it is. That and the Almorian statues around."
