Dani relaxed well by the fountain, enjoying the breeze and the sound of laughter and speech. She sat on the ground next to the fountain, legs sprawled out, head against the edge. She looked around, then shut her eyes and smiled.
She had heard no word from Enoch yet, and she had not seen Dax in a bit either. Her cold was completely cleared up, and she could hear perfectly again. And even better news, she had gotten the job at the pub, and was now a waitress there. So, until she heard from Enoch once more, she did not have to steal unless she had to. That was her real way of thinking. If she needed to do something, she would do it. Steal something, kill someone, anything really.
She opened her eyes once more and looked up at the clouds. A bird flew high above her. Or, she supposed it was a bird. It was hard to know, really, what with all of the people who could fly. She shook it off, and continued gazing off at the sky with a small smile on her face.
Xavier walked through the town not trying to find Dani, but he did hope that he would run into her on his walk. He knew the alleys like the the back of his hand, maybe better, but surprisingly he had not familiarized himself with the main streets of the town. Today, and it couldn't have been a better day, he set out to do just that.
He made his way to the center now. He stood frozen for a moment when his eyes met with the fountain, there was a reason he took the alleys more often than not. It was not just because they were faster, but he avoided terrible memories as well. He remembered the riot, the little boy's life he took at that fountain. How cruel and sick he once was, perhaps still was.... He shook that off as something else caught his attention, Dani. Xavier was not afraid to reveal both his identities to the girl, she would hear the similarities anyway and she was no threat to him physically. A terrible thing to say but true.
He made his may to her was she looked up at the flying figure in the sky, "A difficult thing to tell isn't it? If something moves is either beast or man."

Dani opened her eyes to look at the figure with a puzzled expression. She heard Enoch, clear as day, and yet another man stood in his place. She fit the pieces together, Enoch wore a mask and this man was about the same height, a similar build from what she had seen from Enoch. She would assume it was Enoch, but not mention the guild at all.
"Yes, it is quite enjoyable. I mean, where I am from there are not many different beings. Mostly humans. So seeing many races and cultures in Avaleur is pretty cool," she paused for a moment, looking over Enoch once more. With a smirk, she asked, "So what's your name, friend?"
Xavier smiled slyly back, she was smart enough not to mention anything even though he was sure she had noticed right away. "Lord Xavier Dosise, and you might be?" he asked politely and decently elegantly. It had been years since he was an actual Lord.

"I believe so. The sun is shining, everyone seems happy. Heck, I just got a job working at the pub as a waitress," Dani grinned, turning to look at Xavier. He seemed like a nice person, handsome, and clearly intelligent. She hoped that they would become friends.
She could do other things then just steal, excellent. "That is great, the pub is unexpectedly harder to get a job at than most I hear. Congratulations."
Everyone did seem happy he noticed, and why shouldn't they be? The war was over, Avaleur was victorious! Things were finally calm and peaceful now. Even the forest had become much less dangerous as the werewolves were locked up.... Hmmm and that could be an important job opportunity. I would think it over later.

"Why thank you! The pub's a great way to pick up interesting bits of information!" She hoped that Xavier would note that. One reason she picked the pub was that it was a great source of information. A great source to find out criminal activity and such.
"Do you have work at the moment?" she asked, trying to keep the conversation going, and as normal as possible.
And her choice in work was well aquipted for her other job, well she didn't know it yet. The information could come in handy in the guild. "Sort of, I have applied to be a knight but then the war happened and now I am just waiting on an answer. Luckily money is no problem at the moment, I was able to fix up an abandoned house." he didn't mention that he fixed it up with other people's belongings and some other abandonded furnishings in the ruins.

"At least you do not have to worry about a home and money then," Dani smiled. She was confused, though, Xavier was going to run a large group of crime and yet he wished to be a knight? To her, it was confusing. "Why do you want to be a knight?" she asked.
(( By the way, when do you want to do that RP where Namari gives Xavier the job? XD ))
"Well a couple reasons really, I want to help this city flourish into the kingdom it should be and I feel like I can help with investigations of criminal activity as well as protection to some of the kingdom's deeper secrets. I guess it is similar to the pub, a large quantity of intel can be achieved through that position. Hate to have the wrong person achieve it."
As an investigator he could keep the heat away from the guild as well. And it was the truth, the whole thing about protecting the kingdom secrets, he would share them with his guild. And it was only a matter of time before some did what he was doing, but for the wrong reasons.

Dani picked up a few things that could help the guild, and after thinking knew that Enoch was being incredibly smart about this ordeal.
"Ahh, how interesting! I hope you are able to join, I would love to personally know a knight!" Dani gave off a very large grin as she clasped her hands together.
"Oh it would be grand if I was accepted. I as well hope that I may be permitted to join." he smirked along with a small huff of a chuckle, "Yeah I suppose knowing a knight personally could get you out of some trouble hmm?"
"Not that I think you get into trouble, I am sure you are a polite and very well behaved young woman." he said holding back a laugh.

Dani could see Xavier trying to hold in a laugh and couldn't help but smirk. "I can be I suppose," Dani shrugged, still smiling. She wanted to ask questions about the guild, and if he had spoken to his partner if she were to become in the guild. If that crux would be joining as well. But in a public place, she did not believe it possible. So, she played the waiting game.
"So how long have you lived in Avaleur?" she asked, leaning her head up against the fountain once more.
"Hmm, well I think it has almost been two years now. Although with all that has happened it feels like so much more." thinking back on the two years of him being in Avaleur he realized just how much he had done, and how much had been lost. He had started riots, fought in tournaments, got engaged, fought in wars, and started a guild! What would the next years hold for him? He was anxious and excited but he could wait. Today was a day of rest. There would be no planning and plotting today.
He chuckled to himself. Maybe he shouldn't have mentioned that. "Many things really," some he would not say as Xavier and in public, "I arrived here and furring that time the tournament to be king was going on. Those days passed by very slowly. Not because they were boring or anything. It was just that so much happened in each day it felt as though one was three! After that I met a girl, to make the story short, we feel in love and got engade to each other. She was however sick and died before our wedding. I have fought in wars and helped stop ( and start ) riots, and now perhaps become a knight. But enough about me for now. When did you arrive here. You said it was not as diverse."

Dani was surprised, to say the least. He fought in wars, stopped riots, and was engaged at one point. Surprising. "Well, I arrived here a few weeks ago. My old town, Littlebay, was not very well off, to say the least. Not much money. I didn't like that, so I came here. I didn't want to be a burden," that was true. She did not like stealing from those who were not well-off. The people of Littlebay are farmers, they did not have much money. They traded goods like food and such, but the use of money was small.
"Besides, my parents wanted me to move into the city to start my own life," Dani shrugged. She then said, "I am really sorry to hear about your fiance. But it is very interesting, to say the least. You seem so calm, I wouldn't think you as a heads-on fighter, in battles and such."
The mention of Littlebay was like a burning hot nail in his chest. He didn't let it show however and commented on her statements, "I don't exactly run into battle, more of a strategist I suppose." He thought about asking if she had known Stacy but maybe he shouldn't ask... it could cause too much pain.
