Clark was doing a pretty good job at being Dante's bodyguard. In fact, he was doing better than he'd expected. He hadn't run into any conflict yet. It seemed like this kid was pretty easy going. It was some easy money.
Clark lit up a cigarette as he decided to sit around on his own for awhile. He took a drag and then exhaled slowly. He couldn't help but feel like he was stalking the kid more than he was protecting him. But oh well, money was money.
Dante walked through the halls quietly and happily, a smile on his face. Everything was slow and quiet as of late, and he couldn't help but feel bored. But, still, he walked down the halls away from his classes. He took out a book and began reading while he walked.
Clark sighed. He really didn't want to start following the kid again. His job was, well, it was boring. He decided to stay sitting for another minute, finishing off his cigarette. Didn't some guy tell him he couldn't smoke indoors? Ooops. He had forgotten already. Ah well, he wasn't going to let it go to waste.
Dante spotted a man smoking in the hall. So, he walked up to him.
"Excuse me, I appologize, but you can't smoke in here," Dante smiled, turning his fingertips to metal and putting out the smoke with the metal fingers.
Clark laughed, before exhaling one last time. "My apologies." He threw the cigarette into the garbage. "Not gonna lie to you, I already knew that. I'm just a bit of an idiotic junkie, I suppose. Good day." he nodded politely. Idiotic was right. His addiction always gave away his location.
"It's hard to quit the habit," Dante grinned, ignoring the man's attempt at making Dante leave. "Hell, the best you can really do is chuck all of the packs. So what brings you to the university?"
Clark laughed as if to agree. He would never dream of quitting though. Well, maybe if were a life or death choice. Which, in the end, it was. But ah well, he just didn't plan to quit.
"Just browsing. I'm new here." he lied. "And yourself?"
"Great!" Dante spoke cheerfully, clasping his hands together and without a second began walking down the halls once more. He pointed behind him, "That's where all of the magic classrooms are. It's what I'm studying currently. And most of the classrooms ahead are fighting rooms."
"Yes I am! I study mostly the art of magic, from healing, to building, to even fighting. It's very fun!" Dante grinned widely. "What are you here to study?"
Clark shrugged once more. "Perhaps! I'm just searching for any job opportunity really. I'm afraid I don't have the qualifications though. I'm not very educated."
